Guardiola being obsessed with Messi for 14 minutes straight

  • Pep Guardiola is seemingly unable to stop praising Messi. The Man City manager won absolutely everything while managing Barcelona and the Argentinian magician was the star of the show.
    In his own words, Messi made him a better manager, he is indisputably the greatest player, the most complete player, the most decisive player, has perfected many areas of the game and his is simply the best.
    So much so that, Guardiola can be caught glazing Messi for 14 minutes straight. Always adamant about his opinion, even putting other great player down such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Erling Haaland or Kevin De Bruyne in order to make the statement clear that Messi is on his own level.

    I'll even go as far as to say Messi is still underrated. The only people who truly know how good Messi actually was, were the ones watching him week in week out since the beginning. Messi gave more in 90 minutes than most players give you in half a season. It was just relentless the way he was performing. Most of his genius is NOT even in compilations. You can go back to any game Messi ever played and just watch the way he ran games. Until PSG's 1st season he maybe had 10 "bad games in his whole career (for his doing) and even then he'll give you some moments in games that makes it all worth it. He was 90 minutes of magic, 3x per week, every season for 17+ years from day 1. A calm beast. Easily the greatest ever. The difference in quality is unfair on all others who ever kicked a ball.

    Seeing Guardiola love Leo is understandable. They were a crucial part of the Greatest Side to Ever Play Football (Barcelona 2010) and Pep was there to watch him everyday.
    But when you have Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho, Zinedin Zidane, Arsene Wenger, Carlo Ancelotti, Fabio Capello, Jurgen Klopp and almost ⅘ of all footballing legends be it coaches/managers or players loving Leo, the question or debate becomes ridiculous.
    If you love football for what it is and you can be unbiased, you will love Messi. He's just light-years ahead of everyone else whilst playing honest football. No dives, no acting, no nonsense. Just simple football but on a level only he can do.
    Enjoy him and be glad he existed in an era where every match is documented via video. Because one day he will retire and fortunately we can still watch it all. Because knowing how he is as a person, he won't be hanging around seeking for attention once he hangs his boots.

    I can say two things about Messi:
    1. You can get close to him during the game but the ball stays always closer to him than the defenders or any one else.
    2. He is a phenomenon, why? During the course of human civilization there have been few people who do not have seconds like Albert Einstein, Bach, Bethoven, Davinci and alike. Messi is just another. There will never be another. This man has had a very special love for the ball and the ball loves him only, they are not separable. That’s it.

    Messi was 3 asssist shy of record assist in Ligue one.
    Messi was the best player in group stages for UCL before world cup.
    Haaaland didn't score in any semis,Finals for FA cup or UCL.

    • @CalaTec
      @CalaTec День назад

      Pues es muy parecido. Los grandes maestros del ajedrez son buenos en memorizar y reconocer patrones para poder anticiparse o elegir el mejor movimiento. Lo mismo pasa con Messi, cómo dijo Guardiola el mira a todos lados y ha grabado el campo, los jugadores y el balón en su cabeza y sabe cuál es la mejor opción a tomar para convertir la jugada en un gol, ese proceso de grabar la imagen del campo y los jugadores en su cabeza, le ayuda a tener un patrón, y el conoce de sobra los posibles patrones, como un jugador de ajedrez, y sabe como obtener la mejor jugada.
