ive heard horror stories about productions of other movies but this movie looked like such a fun thing to be a part of and the movie turned out really good as well it was really entertaining to see all this especially the conversation between chris and stan
Jessica Alba actually said working on this movie was one of the things that made her start second-guessing acting as her main profession because in the scene where she cries over the Silver Surfer the director kept telling her "No, no, I need you to cry pretty".
Nah man I’m pretty sure they used cgi back then too plus cgi lets you do lots of more stuff and there’s plenty of movies that use practical effects now

People really fixated too much on trivial stuff, so what if Galactus is a cloud, or if the Surfer gets his powers from his board in this? It's its own story, it's allowed to take liberties. All I know is that the cast of these movies and the writing overall was great.

Looking back now though it’s very hit or miss; some of it’s aged noticeably while some of it still looks decent by today’s standards. As much as I love the MCU, their shameless overuse of unnecessary, sometimes downright awful CGI is obnoxious. Spider-Man’s actual, real life suit constantly being replaced entirely by obvious CG models is a perfect example.
Nazmin Fauzy as long as it looks realistic, I don’t care personally. I only have a problem with it when it looks fake or when they could easily use practical effects but choose not to, it’s super annoying.
I stood out of my hotel when I was visiting Vancouver at the Marriott watching Tim story direct this movie, it was the ending scene and I saw him direct the wedding scene. The wedding scene was on top of a roof of a pizzeria called Goodfellas.

i thought the Silver Surfer in this movie is just AWESOME! too bad the rest wasn't as good. don't get me wrong. I like the first one....this tho, aside from the Surfer himself, were kind of a step down. the acting, the dialogue... and i didn't even mind the smoke Galactus....it was more of the casting, especially Jessica Alba just felt even MORE wrong, as Sue, in this one than the first movie. I just watched a video on the journey for Fantastic Four movies, from Chris Columbus to Tim Story. one of the hired writers, under Peyton Reed (who later did the Ant-Man movies) was this guy Doug Petrie....his suggested cast (in around 2003) were: Alex Denisof, Charlize Theron, Paul Walker and John C. Reilly. Me, personally, I'd cast James Denton (Desperate Housewives), Rosamund Pike, Chris Evans and John C. Reilly i think with a better cast....and a fully CG Thing, this would've aged a lot better...and maybe could've become a TRILOGY.
