- King Genn Greymane of Gilneas will have his part to play in Battle for Azeroth so I figured it would be a good idea to sit down and talk about his story. How did the king become a worgen? Why did they build a massive wall around their kingdom and what might the future hold for Genn? That and so much more is what we're going to discover so I hope you'll enjoy!

Worgen starter scenario is simply one of the most awesome in terms of imersion and storytelling. Dude, i wish Blizz would make a game completly focused on what the hell happened in Gilneas until Cata. It would be awesome to see the civil war in detail by that perspective.
completely agree. i have about 7 worgen and i still cant get enough of the starting zone. im going to be leveling more toons when 7.3.5 goes live too and most of those will be worgen

No matter how many time's I see that cut scene It always give's me chill's especially since worgen was the first race I picked when i first started playing wow.
Have you heard? The legend of the hero who defeated illidan, overthrew the lichking, fought back the aspect of death saving the world, and many more amazing feats. Even today Azeroth fears him. What is their name? you might ask. His name was muthafuckin BarkBark.

I am pretty sure you were just almost dead. But lore wise I am pretty sure the Player Characters weren't there and it was mainly the Argent Crusade who took him down.

Genn Graymane is a cool leader. The worgen are awesome. It is interesting to see what happens before the events of the starting zone. BTW that one cinematic at the end of the video is awesome. "Is there even a shred of humanity left within you." THat line gives the chills.

THANK YOU for using the old video for the scene after you're captured as Worgen! I hate, like really hate, that they replaced Godfrey's unique model in that cutscene when they did the model update for player and MPC models. He looked much more intimidating with those broad shoulders.
i hate how a lot of important characters just use base models. and that they changed some of them that had unique models to base. its always bugged me big time. i hope they give more important lore characters unique models in the next xpac.. and i especially hope they fix anduins ugly model it seriously looks nothing like him
If the Council of Seven Nations were to meet again today it would look very different. Calia has reappeared and is technically the next in line for the throne of Lordaeron but she's expressed that she has no desire to rule. Aiden Perenolde is dead leaving Alterac's throne open and there are two contenders for it. The first would be his nephew Isiden who disappeared after the Second War and was originally backed by Genn for succession to the throne. He could be dead but his whereabouts have never officially been stated. The other would possibly be Lord Ravenholdt because we don't actually know what he's a lord of, but due to Ravenholdt Manor's location and Orange coloration on it's roof (which was the color of Alterac) it's theorized he was once a lord of Alterac which means he could claim the throne if the kingdom was retaken. Obviously both kingdoms will probably never have these people as rulers but they technically have the rights to succession.

Love the story of the Worgen and Gilneas is still one of my favourite starting zone. Genn is one of the best Alliance Leaders.
I'm no alliance player but Gilneas is one of the more interesting storylines in wow. Sure Genn is out for vengence, I want to see how far he will go in his quest to kill sylvanas in BFA
i would love to see a revamp of all the in-game clips, story clips and and any other there is, cause i love watching them, having that part when they capture you and he asks you " Is there even a shred... of humanity left within you?" is so cool!!!! I would to see that in cinematic style trailer they have now

I always wondered just how the night elves knew worgen were in Gilneas. Maybe they felt some ripples in the Emerald Dream or something.

I think they knew it by Emerrald Dream or something soft of. Since Night Elves is somehow have a very connection to nature, then i think the night elves at least somehow have solution to “tame” worgen
They might have just been Scouting the sudden movement of the Forsaken.

It's been a while since I last played a worgen, but I'm planning on leveling an outlaw rogue next year. It will be perfect for the Kul Tiras pirate theme of the next expansion.

My favorite horde race may be the undead, but my favorite alliance race is the worgen, I mean the gilneas music is fucking BEAUTIFUL and looks so god damn good! Also the conflict with the forsaken that will last eternally is really fun to do, its fun to kill worgen in silverpine while doing a quest on an alt to kill undead in gilneas.... it is the biggest horde and alliance rivalry since Jaina and Garrosh.

biggest question... will genn die at the battle for lorderon/undercity in battle for azeroth? little quote from blizzcon when they explained the island worgen npcs, "a group of worgen out for vengeance for genn greymane".... why vengeance?

could very well be, "vengeance for" could be interpreted in many ways I guess (English is not my main language). But for Liam seems weirdly late to me lore wise and mostly misplaced to for instance trolls.... cause besides the forsaken the rest of the horde had not much to do with that. Unless of course you want to say the actions of Sylvanas is a representation for the horde at that time, and the horde should be held responsible for her actions.
