Praise God he promises to make all things new again. When Jesus comes again our bodies will be made new. I'm so glad you are speaking the truth. May the Lord bless your work to help others.
I think you must put things into perspective, Daniel. You were 46 when you began taking hormones to transition from male to female. Late 40s is a very late age to begin transitioning and most people at that age don't properly pass for the sex they wish to be. It's likely that you still had a very masculine appearence and that people therefor treated you poorly. Trans women who transition from male to female after having lived lives as straight men will always encounter difficulty. That is because in trans lesbians there is a condition called autogynephilia. You probably suffered from autogynephilia. You are different from trans women who transition at young ages, look proper as women and are able to navigate the world as heterosexual women afterwards. In your case you had difficulty getting rid of your male habits. You were a transvestic fetishist who chose the path to transsexualism. These operations were not intended for people like you. They were intended for people who deeply feel uncomfortable with the sex we were born in because of a mismatch between our brains and our bodies. You were a late on-set transsexual. Those almost never have satisfactory outcomes. It's different for early on-set transsexuals. You can't compare your case of having transitioned at 46 to the case of someone who is transitioning late 10s, early 20s, late 20s because those people will look better and more acceptable as women than you did when you tried. A therapist at that time should have been honest with you and have told you that you were too old to be successfully going through the process. That's where your dissatisfaction stems from. People most likely thought of you as a crossdresser instead of as a woman. Transitioning younger in life yields good results. You also took the Swedish study out of context that reports 41% suicide rates in trans people: it was conducted between 1976 and 2003 when people didn't have the knowledge about trans people that people have nowadays, so society was less accepting back then than it's now. Furthermore the study never said that 41% of trans people commit suicide. The study said that 41% of trans people ever had suicidal thoughts in their lives. Not that they did act on it. The actual suicide rate in post-op transsexuals is 2-3% which is still higher than the overall population but much less than what you are purpetrating here. The younger one transitions, the better the results. After the age of 35 the results are much worse than if someone were to start in their early 20s. Late 20s is the cut-off age to experience decent results. There are many long-term transitioned satisfied trans women out there. Lynn Conway is an example. She transitioned at age 30 and is 83 years old now and still going strong. April Ashley was another trans woman who transitioned in the 1950s and was very happy with her transition. Renée Richards is another successfully long-term transitioned trans women. Except for you the only other vocal detransitioner I can think about is Walt Heyer. Walt just like you transitioned at old age and therefor had poor results , was not accepted by society and therefor detransitioned. Trans people who successfully physically transition have lower regret rates. You really should be more honest and put everything in the right context. I hope you find happiness after all.
Sara, after what I have been through & some young men that are detransitioning for various reasons, I wish this problem would just go away. I remember growing up as a child and there was only boys & girls and we all had our innocence. Now society is pushing evil agendas on the youth of today. Praying for all the young people that they will be able to escape the delusion that changing their gender will bring them happiness.
Daniel Gender Reassignment only works when you are trans. You had a fetish for wanting to be a woman. You transitioned for sexual reasons. You were not a real transsexual. That's why it didn't work out for you. Real transsexuals have gender discomfort from a very young age. You only started with this when you were 46. No therapist should ever have let you through the gates. You needed therapy , not a transition. For young transsexual women who are truly feeling gender discomfort since a very young age, transition is a solution. But it also depends on how accomplished one would look post-transition. At 46 you probably ended up looking like a guy in a dress , which made things much harder for you because you were too old to successfully transition. I wish deluded people like yourself would understand that transitions were never meant for you because you were not a real transsexual from a very young age on. As an adult you got sexually aroused by wearing women's clothes and decided to transition. Then you found out you didn't look accomplished after your transition and that it is not about sex, which you probably thought pre-transition. You needed lots of therapy , no medical interventions. I feel extremely sorry for you that a therapist signed you off for gender reassignment. They should have turned you away. I'm sorry that happened. However, do realise that real trans women who benefit from transition exist. I am one such trans woman. In your case it didn't work out because you didn't suffer gender dysphoria. You suffered from a psychotic outbreak and have been wrongly diagnosed as trans. Good luck to you on your path forward. Remember : don't generalize.
The hardships you went through made you tougher. You will face more bad stuff, like everyone else, but you are prepared now.
@cycledance Appreciate your kind words.
God bless you.
Amen! Thank you Daniel. Praying for you always

Appreciate your kind words. Merry Christmas !
Thank you Daniel, for bravely using your awful experiences to warn other men who are being groomed by this cult.
Glad you are out of surgery. I found a mental health religious podcast recently called St. Dymphna's Playbook. It's pretty good.
