I used to fish there once in a while and that river is so fun. It’s so wild, remote. Almost feels like you are in nature, not suburban area. But I stopped since the day I discovered that there are needles in that water. From your spot right under the bridge (on that left side too, if you are walking up from the park), if you walk up just a little bit more, probably 30-50 more feet, there is a sewer on your right hand side, just right next to the path. Just walk up a little bit closer to that sewer and take a look at the bottom (especially when it’s dried up). You will see lots of needles, I have seen more than 10 or 20 of them. And just imagine once it rains, all the water will wash those needles down the river and... Urgh, I can’t believe it. Kinda sad though, that beautiful river just got ruined by the homeless people
Just caught some fresh Mackerel and Sardines at HB pier yesterday, I recently slaughtered Catfish in Lake Meade, Nevada, I did it with full frozen Anchovies, from the gas station, hopefully this works better, will be trying these areas tomorrow, thanks for sharing the video, I always go past that area for some reason.
Are you going to hit the ponds that are in the park?Or are you going to hit the Santa Ana River Running beside it? Entry is super affordable, it's only $3 to get in to the park.
@@TangledWithTyler Im on the other side past La Palma, trespassing, it's been closed for years, I'll risk a ticket! I caught my first Carp under the La Palma bridge! I'll give it a couple more hours.
@@TangledWithTyler Awesome! I went past trespassing signs/ featherly regional park, says no fishing or anything, there are 3 endangered species supposedly, helicopter was circling me for like 20 minutes, lol! Hope to see you out there bro! Stay blessed!
Yes, according to their regulations you are required to have a California fishing license. Have they ever checked for mine? No. But they do require one. Also there is a $3 entry fee Monday through Friday and a $5 entry fee per vehicle on the weekends
That rod you are using is used with a bait casting reel and is wrapped opposite of how you are using it. The reel you are using is a spinning reel and is used on a spinning rod. Just a heads up
LOL I apologize yes Yorba Linda is actually not in the city of Yorba Linda California. It is in the city of Anaheim California. Also it is a county owned Regional Park 👍
Lures got stuck. Lost bait. Change places. 8.0 Lbs carp. Cat fish. It’s all part of fishing. I enjoyed the video guys.😁Big 👍
