That riff sound lot like April wines I'd like to Rock. After the E , G , D, A , when he slides down and back up to catch that G , chord . With a hint of the beatles it's clearly April Wine tho. Early APRIL WINE. THE SONG I'D LIKE TO ROCK.
Except April Wine released Id Like to Rock in 1980 and Kiss Released Calling Dr. Love on Rock N Roll Over in 1976.

I will be happy to do this....I've played it for years and seriously thought I had a lesson on it. I've been a KISS and guitar player since about the time of Alive and never stopped.
