If you like endless tracks and being away from absolutely everything, then I highly recommend the Canning once you're permanently over this side! It's a very unique experience. Thanks Trevor! (Great name by the way). I'll have to go look at what exact model the tablet is, but its a Samsung running Memory Maps. Through Memory Maps you can buy the Hema maps with no ongoing costs (about $100 or so). The only negative is that you don't have the added search functionalities like Point of Interest. It's basically just the map.
Hey Ned, I wanted to own the map outright and avoid subscriptions (for now anyway), so I went with buying the Hema Maps from Memory Maps. Works a treat, however it is just the maps, no added features such as points of interest, and if you want to get directions to somewhere you have to draw it on the map yourself. Essentially, it's a digital form of many paper maps which you can draw on and it will give you stat's based off what you've input. Hope that makes sense!
