I am determined to know what that little red books title is. lol
The reason I love watching Joolz is because thru him I can travel and learn about my homeland...a place I will never be able to visit. I was adopted young and brought to America and now I am unable to travel. Thank you Joolz and Bless you .
Well you should find a way to get on a plane when this shirt covit is under control and give it a go find out we’re you were born
@@thomasconboy4636 Sounds great love but I am disabled and chances are high I might not be around by the tyme this covid crap is over.

Please Joolz, do more jolly days on the canal. This has been a wonderful day .
Lived by canals my entire life and I've seen how much more care the canals are given nowadays compared to how they were when I was a kid. They are looked after by wonderful volunteers and the River Trusts.
Joolz and Canals, two of my favourite things!
Just finished watching, very relaxing and interesting. Thanks for your great content as always, Joolz!
Thanks Joolz for a trip into memory lane, I was borne almost 80 years ago in Woodchester Street (not there any more I think), the Paddington basin and the Reagents Canal were my playground, my word how it has changed.
I managed to get a boat into the Basin back in the 70s, it wasn't easy.
There was some boating organisation who would give you a plaque for doing so.
A big thanks to Mr Carradine for the accordion and old-time songs!
Visited London in late September 2019. Happened upon the canal while exploring around Paddington/Little Italy. Ended up having one of the best afternoons of my life walking the tow path to Camden in fabulous weather. Saw most of these landmarks mentioned but didn’t know their histories/stories until now. So glad I ‘happened upon’ this video - many thanks !!
When I was 16 I lived on a houseboat at Ducks Walk, Richmond. That was a very long time ago, brings back memories 👍🏻
I'd be far too tall to live on a boat
Joolz Guides - London History Walks - Travel Films bet you’d hunch over for some of the awesome parties we had though 😂
Hang on......is that Monica and Anna in that boat? You have some very well known friends Joolz! Great video as always x
Joolzy, you don’t know how much I enjoy each and every lovingly made episode!!!🌹🌹🌹
Having a lovely Sunday afternoon enjoying watching you on the canal trip… Thanks for sharing
My three favorite British things, Joolz, canals and mudlarking. Well done wishing I could join you for a lovely day out.😘👍
So happy to see Monika and Anna out with you enjoying the day. Gave them a chance to enjoy the above water scene. Pip, Pip!
Thanks so much! It was a total joy to scrub the mud off, and share the picnic afloat!
@@monikabuttling-smith5234 Was very excited when you were on screen -- shame Joolz didn't introduce you two to the audience...But then again, I think enough of us spotted you and commented as such. Think it was brilliant that he did invite you both along to the cruise.
Salish Sea Quest Ah, thanks. :-) I did mudlarking film with Joolz a while back, so I got lots of airtime and credits then. I am still surprised though, that anyone recognises us out of our muddy gear!
@@monikabuttling-smith5234
Loved that mudlarking video! And the ones you've done with Nicola as the Ladies Who Lark, have made you famous! Saw your reply to Flo on Instagram -- it would have been fun to have all four of you on the canal boat.
Salish Sea Quest Yes, wouldn’t it! They had to space us out because of Covid, though, so less people allowed in the boat. I’m sure we will get together soon. x
Recognise your lady guests from mudlarking with Nicola ! 😁
Yep, I recognised them too :-)
Such beautifully distinct voices on both of them.
Breakfast and a sail down the canals with Joolz. What a lovely way to start a Sunday.
12:30 AM here so your 8:30 AM, just had to watch one of your videos before ending the day. This was a perfect way to end the day. Looks like you had a great day and as always you pull the viewer in for the adventure. Thanks much.......
Joolz, you're a mad man of knowledge! You have entertained me the past few months when I've needed it, keep going and I look forward to one day booking you for a tour and a good ole bevy! Peace bro
'Regular ben hur' from the tooth pick chewing JW Pepper (spluttering)! Love the random connections you make Joolz - golden!
"The Ice Wharf" public house ar Camden lock is one of my favourite Wetherspoon's pubs, always worth a visit!
*hang on... you "like" wetherspoons pubs* 🙄
@@whi5tler_1337 Wetherspoon's have saved many fine old buildings, the beer is cheap, the breakfast epic. I would concede that there are much better places to eat lunch.
Lol @ 4:14 I was only ever aware of Spike Milligan´s version of John Masefield´s "Sea Fever" that goes "...to the lonely sea and sky, I left my shoes and socks there, I wonder if they´re dry" =)
You should do a tour of the great pissing spots around London 😆
This is actually one of my favourite Joolz guides so far, really interesting and I may have a go at this myself, cheers Joolz
One of, if not, the best tour yet. Just wonderful. Merci from Montréal.
You have a veritable mine of knowledge stored in your little head Joolz !! Probably could fill up 10 or more full sets of Encyclopaedias! I hope they find a way to pickle your brains without damaging them when you depart. In some of your favourite ale! It's amazing! I hope they erect a statue in memory of you. I was born in London, and only know a little thimbleful and have learned more from your videos than I ever dreamed possible! Your memory is truly incredible! You make it all so amusing too!
Well I know what is going to be on the top of my list next time I am in London......whenever travel is safe.....whenever boarders are open.....whenever *sobs loudly*!!!! Thanks for yet another great video! As a Canadian who loves the UK and London especially, your videos allow me to travel vicariously. Thank you!
That looks like an awesome boat ride, with wine and bread to boot.
I feel I must go to London again.
I have been waiting for what seems like forever for a new Joolz video to be posted lol. I went back watched tonnes of his old videos even though I had already watched them 3-4 times each lol. It’s an addiction really lol. Thanks for such a unique video this time Joolz.
Cheers mate
Love the old time songs from the early hundreds.
Jules continues to amaze...wildly knowledgable! The bit about the electricity board was fascinating. Perfect Sunday morning! Thank you so much.
Joolzy, next time you do a canal video, put Tom Carradine and a baby grand piano on the Go Boat with you. Now that would be a proper knees-up. Great video as always.
That would be great, sailing along and singing or stopping and taking requests.
I'd love to do that!
@@Joolzguides I'd look forward to that!!
Great work Joolz, London is amazing
I did it a few years ago the other way round, starting from Little Venice and finishing in Camden. Great day! Thanks for the memories and keep up with your amazing videos!!
John Masefield wrote the book The Box of Delights which was one of my fave Christmas programmes as an 80's kid
Thank you for a lovely day out.
Eeehh, fellow Horkshire folk, always marvellous to hear, go bless Jules + the fellow northerners
I like the many, many connections to the place’s history.
Needed this today!!!! Was hoping there would be a new video... Beautiful! Thanks Joolz 🥰
Thank you for another wonderful peek of London life.😎
Lovely one of my favourite London walks.
8:15. Am I right in thinking this woman does some mudlarking videos?
Yes, both of them do - Monika and Anna - you can see them on Si-Finds and Nicola White's videos from time to time. Nicola does "ladies that lark" videos.
Yeah, I noticed her as soon as Joolz started bording the boat!😄
Very nice people too and clever!
@@Joolzguides Ahh, thanks Joolz, and for such a lovely day out - charming company, sunshine and bubbles, all afloat. Glad you liked the cake, too! Blueberry and almond... mmmmm ;-) If anyone wants to see what Anna and I get up to in our normal lives, you can check us out on Instagram at @foreshoreseashore and @mudika.thames
Thank you for posting this video. I always enjoy seeing the sights as well as hearing all the interesting stories .

omg definitely will try this experience when we visit London again. Thank you Joolz for sharing amazing experiences.
What fun! Enjoyed on my Deck this Sunday morning in the states. You are looking dapper in your summer duds...
thanks as usual mate well done keep it up love it!
Thanks, Joolz. Never been on one of the canal boats but have enjoyed walking along the canal. Very relaxing and a wonderful respite from the busy, crowded tourist areas.
Thank you Joolz ! You're like sunshine into my life. Your work makes me dream about London. I've been there in 1988 the last time... Too long !! (Canada)
Wonderful! Thank you!
A new addition for my shortlist of Joolz Guides favorites!
Wonderful video Julian...lovely to see your guests I recognize the ladies from Nicola White's channel. Thank you...take really good care! 💖
Wonderful as always!!! Keep em comin! ❤️
brilliant, informative once again!
Hello, two years ago we walked the little Venice. It was our first trip to London. as we walked we turned off to visit Abbey Road studios and Primrose Park until reaching Camdem. congratulations on your video. Leonardo from Buenos Aires.
That boat trip is angelic Joolz, another great video in these troubled times. 😊👍
JOOLZ, WHERE IS ALL THAT MONEY COMING FROM FOR A LUXURY FOOD BOAT TRIP THAT S DISGUSTING AND OUT OF ORDER WHEN THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF POOR PEOPLE ON UK STREETS AND I LOST MY LOWER LEGS DUE TO BEING AN INDIRECT 2ND WAR CASUALTY, BUT CAN NOT GET PROSTHETICS DUE TO SCUM TORY CUTS, YET LASHINGS OF MONEY CAN BE WASTED LIKE ON THIS VIDEO= ALL ONLY IN THE UK THE MOST CORRUPT COUNTRY IN WEST EURTOPE. !!!.
Joolz, these history walks are an addiction. Thank you so much. If I ever get to London I shall make arrangements for a walk with you. :-)
I was born in Maida Vale and went to school in Camden Town a nice gentle trip through my life thanks Joolz
I'm glad you can enjoy a decent beer! Up the Camden!
Know this area so well from 70s...a nice day out on the water....
I love your videos Joolz. I always learn so much about London from them, thank you.
This is fantastic!! Love it!
One of my favorite of your tours/videos and worth the wait. In all my visits to London I've never walked or boated on the canals. This will be on the list next visit...whenever the world allows us US citizens back.
Thanks Joolz, I always enjoy your historic guided tours.
There are some nice canalboat tours from Camden down to Little Venice...I've done it about 4 times with different friends.
I so enjoyed this vlog!
Loved this! I was in London in summer, 2019 and went to Camden market. I discovered the canal there and walked for miles. My favorite sight (being from California) was seeing the little boats go by -- in the rain -- with the passengers all holding umbrellas and having a fine old time. What a wonderful slice of English life, I thought. Never let a little rain get in the way of your fun!
Brilliant Video, Joolz...well done!
Fun and interesting video and, for us mudlarking fans, so nice to see Monika and Anna as well. Joolz introduced me to mudlarking by having an episode about it and I have been hooked ever since. The boat trip looks like great fun and so happy to see the area has improved so much.
That looks like something nice to do on a Sunday afternoon.
Another rather excellent video Joolz, always a pleasure!
Excellent Joolz, really enjoyable.
How Lovely, thank you Joolz... All the way from Iceland!
Absolutely LOVE your jacket and boater!
Amazing as usual Joolz! Your videos always make me miss living in London.
Fabulous, thanks for this.
Excellent guide, when my wife, Pauline and I were over last, she made me walk from Paddington station to Camden lock (and onwards 12 miles) and we had a wonderful day and would recommend this trip
That was really fun to watch.
Birds are happy - lots of algae to eat.
Joolz actually all the EHV cables along the canal footpaths are no longer energised.
A guy I know who has a permanent mooring at Little Venice told me during the Winter when the path got snowed/iced over the heat from the buried cables kept the towpaths clear.
The National Grid have built a set of tunnels about 30M deep from Willesden Substation down to Kensal Green (which feeds Crossrail) then on to the St Johns Wood Substation then carries on across London.
National Grid have published several videos about this.
Also one of the Villas you saw was owned by the Brunei Royal Family internally they are not that great but the Canal Side garden is definitely very nice indeed.
That looks like a fun relaxing afternoon, especially with the Joolz commentary. Unfortunately you have to look at the ever-present hooligan graffitti all along the way.
temped to bring paint roller and paint...
I was thinking the same thing. How much more attractive the whole area would be without all that mess.
So much in this video, quite amazing. Thanks!
Looks so relaxing, lovely video👍
Cup of tea and jools, oh aye.
What a lovely clip. Great information imparted while one is watching it. I love these clips!
That looks absolutely fun and interesting...chillaxing..when I'm in London.. definitely!
Just brilliant tour guides!!! Love it!
Another great vid Jools. Thanks very much, your vids are so refreshing in these crazy Covid times. Nice one Jools. Regards, Dave ✌️
Thanks to you I know that there are so many interesting activities in London. Thank you so much!
'Jolly boating weather' indeed. Lots to see, splendid passengers - and a well stocked galley !
Omg I grew up here !! Behind crockers pub on Orchardson St . My nan lived in the block overlooking the weeping willow in little Venice.
Love, love, love your videos! Keep them coming! We need more! Haha:) we binged all your Videos in less than a week 🙋🏻♀️😅😍
Hello Joolz, i am amazad at how deep knowledge of london you have. It is really a pleasure to follow your walks discovering spots that one, an argentinian tourist, in spite of having been to london several times, had never noticed. Moreover, i had never imagined how many interesting sites there are everywhere!. Thank you.for uncovering and sharing them. Cheers, joolz!

Love Joolz Guides and this one in particular! I grew up in Marylebone and we used to walk to Camden Market along the regents canal many a Sunday! Keep these videos up! They help me get my lo don fix! (Now live in USA)
