    I think the brown Princeton sounds amazing! I don't know about $2000.00 amazing though. I love reverb on my amps, It would even be nicer if it came with it. One of the great things about handwired, It is generally cheaper to repair if something does happen to go wrong with it. The bassbreaker sounds good and it is nice that they made it with a foot switch, I'm sure it will be heavier then a lot of people will want to deal with. The 15 watt model is heavy as well for a low wattage amp. The clean sounds much like a HRD clean to me. As far as clean sounds go, I thought the Princeton was much better IMO.

    The Bassbreaker 30R is 95% the same as my (discontinued) Laney LC30, which I love. When the four EL84s start cooking, everything sparkles. As to the demo, ever notice how every pro demo uses a Telecaster? That's because no amp sounds muddy through a Tele. I think they should always also demo a humbucker-equipped guitar through the clean channel if they want to be honest about the amp's tone. I think this amp will be fine though, because of the Bright Switch.

    The BassBreaker will thump metal but they need 2x10's @ 30 watts and someone that understands how to shave some mids and create a metal tone to demo it. IMHO. A 1x12 at 30 watts pushed is like asking for mud. Even my Marshall jcm 800 50 watt combo doesnt break up well in the small 1x12 cab. but in the 2x12 it sings. Fender needs to get this down. Orange made the rocker 32 2x10 which is a great little balanced amp. They get it. If Marshall were smart tho they would make a 2x10 open and closed back combo with their 25 watt silver jubilee and make a 25 watt jvm to fit as well.

    It’s not about being an Internet tough guy most of these people to try to do videos one through five minutes of fame laddies guys have never seen 10 minutes on a stage in front of even 50 people I look at some of these videos and commonsense tells me we could’ve edit this because I subtracted that big of a concentrated more on the sound and benefits of a product instead they just want to hear themselves talk and talk and I believe a lot of it has to doWith substandard playing

    • @rickslespaul
      @rickslespaul 5 лет назад

      Wow, you couldn't be more off base if you tried. Premier does a great job of covering products at the show but they don't have a ton of time to get great tones, redos or edits because they have to cover a ton of stuff at the show so it's always rushed. Honestly, if you're trying to judge buying an amp from NAMM videos then you're doing a grave disservice to yourself and to the products. As far as the talking goes, I know that I have limited time and that I have no control over how the video will sound so all I can do is give detailed info so that people can decide if they want to check it out further. The moral of the story, go try it for yourself and see if it works for you. :)

      It’s a reissue of an actual amp from 1962, the Princeton. Its a different circuit, transition amp from the tweed to blackface, they didn’t have reverb, like the tweeds but had trem like the blackface

    • @wrayven
      @wrayven 5 лет назад

      @@justingarcia7722 The 6G2 Princeton is a hi-fi version of the 5F11 Tweed Vibrolux. I own both amps and I am astonished people don't make the connection. The transformers are different manufacturers and they redesigned the circuit for bit more stability otherwise they 90% the same. The 6G amps are way underrated and should never be looked upon as transition amps. For me they were best amps ever made by Fender, but the marketplace demanded all in one amps with reverb. The engineering staff made the decision to design the next series of amps to have less mids to keep the overall sound from getting too muddy when using reverb. This choice makes the blackface cleans really great, but its overdrive never really comes close to the earlier tweed or 6G amps.
      The main problem with this reissue is you can still find the original for less money. They should have done a 6G3 Deluxe reissue, but no one currently famous uses one. Ditching the Filson made cover might chop off a couple hundred dollars.

      @pcorriveau1982 5 лет назад

      It really depends... For guitars, having bought both from Indonesia and Mexico, I would say that the indonesian spend more time on the hard work like frets polishing but Fender tell them to put cheaper components so that they don't compete with their other lines of products. In the Mexican factory, they spend less time on the frets (I had to filed and polish the last two of my Telecaster and the frets on the edges were kind a sharp) but they will give you better components (electronics). Having said that, I bought a Fender Bassbreaker 007 head in 2017 made in Mexico and I have no complaints at all. Also, my Vox AC4 was made in China. Both are some of the best amps I have played and kept for home/recording use.
