The garage sale one I can relate to. One of the very first garage sales I can remember having was when I was around 11 years old. My mother was hosting the garage sale alone with us and getting rid of a lot of our old things. We had gotten brand new bikes for Christmas that were sitting off to the side of the garage near the side area of the house. Ya know, away from all the tables and boxes where everything that was for sale was. Anyway, a hispanic family noticed them and asked my mother how much for the bikes and she told them they weren’t for sale. They pressured here and offered some sort of number I don’t remember (I was too excited about selling things in the garage sale to pay close attention or worry about it.) They eventually left and we wrapped up the sale at the end of the day. The bikes stayed where they were because we lived on a dead end road off the interstate where ALL of my neighbors knew each other and thus we had no concerns about keeping our things out. My sister and I woke up the next day, and when we went outside to ride our bikes they were gone. We were soooo upset and my mom was even more so because she couldn’t afford to replace them any time soon. I have a good sense of caution any time I host a garage sale now, even though my wife thinks I am over reacting. Some people just can’t be trusted once they see something you have that they want.

The third story: The couple was engaged, then broke up. They weren't married, so she wasn't entitled to half of everything. That is only good in divorce, and that's only in certain states and certain provinces. Again, the couple wasn't married, she was lucky she only got the belongings she had left at the house.
Even if they were married, you’re still not entitled to half of everything upon divorce. That’s not how divorce works. Separate property is still kept separate and communal property is divided equally. You’re not suddenly going to have half of your wife’s shirts or vice versa because it’s “absolutely half”. You’re not entitled to the inheritance of your spouse upon divorce, or even allowed to take gifts back- anything your spouse owned before marrying you is not your property and is not divided equably. That includes engagement rings. The only thing that she was actually entitled to were her own belongings and the ring. At least in America (idk how it is in Canada where OP was from), engagement rings are gifts and don’t have to be returned upon breaking up.

I often get, I want to speak to some one senior. Listen darlin’ I have been with the company for over 20 years, longer than most of my colleagues have been alive. I am the most senior person here. Then there is the I want to talk to your superior. Nope, no one is superior to me, we are all equal in life regardless of age or experience. Now if they had asked for a manager or supervisor that would be different. But first I need to take some details and the exact reason you want to speak to a manager as they will only do exactly what I have offered to do. Only once this has been checked and confirmed that you are our customer or have authority to act on behalf of our customer will a managers callback be made in the next 24 to 48 hours. They are busy managing the department after all.

Every employee has to justify their employment aka they have to provide benefit to the company. Someone who calls out constantly, makes others do their work up or does things that wind up costing the company money is someone that is more of a hassle. Why keep a hassle around?
Hi DarkFluff = please read this story. I was working at a Call Center when a coworker got a job that was in a prison. She came in late and took long lunch breaks. She then found out that her new job would have her start training one week later than she expected. That day she was fired from the Call Center and walked out. Karma at its finest.
By far my favorite thing to listen to while working!!! If you ever make longer videos it would make my year just because I wouldn’t have to sneak as much to change to the next video 🤣!
I'm a bit dubious about the story with the shopping carts. It just doesn't seem feasible considering the time frame involved. Plus she was in her car the entire time OP is meticulously positioning carts around her? This is probably a case of OP thinking too late, after he got home, of what he should have done.
Its quite plausible. I have been know to sit in my car and continue talking on my phone to finish the call before I pull out, not even realizing that people are in their cars waiting for me to pull out to take my space. I get absorbed with the call and am clueless until they start honking and yelling at me (its one of the reasons I don't answer my phone when I'm driving).
I absolutely love your channel! You make my day. These stories are outrageous! The other Karen videos on youtube are definitely not as shocking as the ones you have.
Story 4: The reason no lawyer showed up at OP's door with a lawsuit in hand is that any and all lawyers know what his ex did not; she didn't have a leg to stand on.
OP moving those shopping carts: if you took them out of the 'line', whatever it's called, to place 15 around her car .... I'm assuming they don't have a quarter release lick on them. But that would be worth spending a pocket full of quarters to see Karen shaking her fists at you. Love it!!!
that story about ex-fiancee thinking she's entitled to half of OP's mom's things reminds me of a story I heard years ago. Two sisters fought over their inheritance & couldn't come to an amicable agreement so... they literally cut in half every item in their house! This is for real. My husband went to that house years after & saw this beautiful old wardrobe cut in half. Plates & utensils cut in half. it was fascinating!
I guess she thought she was in a 'common law marriage'. A thing in the US. But certain requirements have to be met. Basically you have to live 'together' as though you were married to start with. There are some more finer details that vary state to state.
For burning bridges with the job - I used to work in the restaurant area of a grocery store & my manager in that area told me that she heard from other employees that I wasn't doing my job & she could fire me (I'd greet customers help put food out, wash dishes, etc). The only time I stood around was when I was waiting for the food to finish cooking while standing at the cash register incase someone wanted to pay i could help out still. Plus there were times during our shift where all we could do was wait around, dishes done & just waiting on a customer if they needed help. While she was the type of manager that was never in the restaurant & would walk around & chat with her friends for an hr or so then go on break then chat away again. Half the time I never knew she was working cuz she'd never be in the restaurant. And if we called for her over intercom she'd never phone our area to see what was up only show up an hr or so later saying something about she was busy. I found out later from other employees that worked in the back of the store that she'd be back there all the time chatting away. I couldn't really do anything since I didn't have proof, was only a yr or so on the job & she'd been there a few years all buddy buddy with store managers & seemed like a bunch of other employs as well. In the end she asked a different manager in a different department (I'll say stocking) to have me work there. At first I was mad then glade since i was learning something new. Everyone in (stocking) would ask me if I'd go back to restaurant I said no & told them why, they also said she shouldn't have said that & also laughed cuz turns out everyone who worked in restaurant never wanted to go back. Few months pass & I learned she was let go for a number of reasons & I still work in (stocking) enjoying it more then I ever did in restaurant, plus my new department coworkers are more fun & upbeat joking around. Helping each other out when ever possible more of a team environment. So all in all I guess she did one thing nice for me lol.
The Cup of Tea is a good reminder that there is 2 sides to every story and when you see a story of someone being a "Karen" or having a tantrum, that occasionally there just may be a decent excuse for there behaviour.
I think I’m going to have to send in some of my stories - I’ve worked in retail, hospitality and voluntary services over the last 35 years, so have a fair few to share !
Story 4: What a shame that she decided to get involved with drugs. But something was off with that family, when she breaks up with you over every little problem, and then demanding half of yours and your Mom's possessions. You were lucky to get out of that relationship.
Story 4, 14:06. This sounds like she may have developed schizophrenia or a related disorder (“government is spraying meth in the air”). That’s about the right age for it to manifest
What monster would rob a child over less than $50? Too bad no one could get her information to report her to the police. If I were the DA, I’d have thrown the book at her (robbery, assault on a minor, etc., assuming her actions qualified under the laws of that jurisdiction) and pushed for at least a little jail time (even a month would do) to teach her that such actions were criminal and will result in her going to jail like any other criminal.
I worked with a "Kim" type once: hardly ever did any work, spent most of her time chatting with friends who just happened to be in the shop at the time (and never bought anything). When I told her to get back to work, she lodged a formal complaint with the manager, saying that I'd been bullying her and left her in tears. So, there I am, on the verge of missing out on a promotion and facing an investigation into my actions, when she quits without notice. Not only that, but she has her mother email head office and accuse the store manager of bullying her. Well, fortunately, the truth came out, and I got an apology. Fast forward about three months, and the manager asks me how I'd feel if "Kim" came back to work with us. I think about it, and say that, so long as she's actually going to do her job, I'm willing to look past what happened. I later hear, that, when the manager asked about the email to head office, "Kim" tried to brush it off as just a joke. Needless to say, she didn't get her job back. Oh, and the reason why she'd had to leave the job she'd left us for? Turns out, she'd been sleeping with her married boss, and his wife found out. Given her father owned the company, "Kim's" work trial ended then and there.
3:20 I also had the same thing happen to me when i was selling homemade cupcakes(of which I spent an entire night making). The worst part is that it was for charity, and I had told that to the person prior to them running away... (they basically stole from charity, that's what i would call an inverse Robin Hood) and if you're wondering about the fairness of price, it was only $1.00 CAD
I heard of some woman who wanted half of everything off her ex husband - and that’s what he gave her - half a table, half a lamp, half a car etc ! He’d had everything sawn in half and left at her place !
Your comment on how petty people could be during a divorce reminds me of my ex demanded my two cats, who he hated, because I was leaving and he would be so lonely. Yeah, he returned the cats 2 weeks later when he figured out he would have to take care of them. Lol
1:36 if someone ever cheats on me and has the audacity to think their entitled to any thing then I would say "well how about a kick up where the sun don't shine" Also shout out, pls :3
The shopping cart story reminds me of when I was young and dumb working a temp job at a grocery store where the cashier's were on strike. It was my job to get the shopping carts in from the parking lot. Several times the strikers jammed 20 or so carts together very forcefully and then tip the whole line upside down.
When I was 27 I had found out that one of the kids in my neighborhood that I had grown up with had gotten into drugs. I couldn't believe it. Someone I had played with constantly as a child had gotten stuck onto drugs. She did try to get off but couldn't stay off of drugs for long. She had ended up dying in jail. When I first met her she quickly became my best friend. Of course life will throw you a curve ball and we had lost our closeness with each other. I just can't believe she is gone. I really do miss her and wished I knew what was happening to her, before she had passed away
That fourth story tho... They both suck He cheated on her admittedly and then proposed... Without any proof whether she cheated or not. Some will do everything except breakup and I do kinda feel bad for her because the way her life went as downhill as it did.
What the hell do "knowing about garage sales" and price haggling have to do with "NOT FOR SALE" ??? If something is NOT FOR SALE, then anything pertaining to "garage sale expertise" or wtf-ever is COMPLETELY irrelevant!

That poor girl should have gotten police involved
"They said they were gonna call a lawyer and sue me, they never did though". I bet they did and just got laughed at.
Once again amazed by Karen.
Love it!!!
Getting into bed listening to these stories
The cart thing is hilarious
that story about ex-fiancee thinking she's entitled to half of OP's mom's things reminds me of a story I heard years ago. Two sisters fought over their inheritance & couldn't come to an amicable agreement so... they literally cut in half every item in their house! This is for real. My husband went to that house years after & saw this beautiful old wardrobe cut in half. Plates & utensils cut in half. it was fascinating!
Fluff: We survived, yet again.
Me: Did we? Did we really?
So puts a quarter down for something marked $15 and runs off? Lol
I guess she thought she was in a 'common law marriage'. A thing in the US. But certain requirements have to be met. Basically you have to live 'together' as though you were married to start with. There are some more finer details that vary state to state.
I love the second one
Story 2: I am a cart pusher
It would be SO TOTALLY WORTH the extra work to see that happen
I'm a bit late, but I'm here! Bring on the Karens!
So all in all I guess she did one thing nice for me lol.
talking of splitting everything in half, I heard about a guy who literally bulldozed half of their house when the couple divorced.
This instant, sounds like my grandmother, also keep some zip ties with you and attach the cart to the car
#3 Karen got her fair chance. TWICE. She scrapped both.
#4 What a horrible bullet did OP dodged here.
That poor jersey girl 😢
Story 4: What a shame that she decided to get involved with drugs. But something was off with that family, when she breaks up with you over every little problem, and then demanding half of yours and your Mom's possessions. You were lucky to get out of that relationship.
Story 4, 14:06. This sounds like she may have developed schizophrenia or a related disorder (“government is spraying meth in the air”). That’s about the right age for it to manifest
Love the cart revenge!!!!
"We need to talk."
"Damned right we do!"
OP: You're not allowed to cheat us.
Karen: I want to speak to your manager.
OP: Speaking...
I love all your stories.
thank makes me smile
Karen: what are you going to give me
Anyone ever: your food and your pride in tact
(I severely failed in my daily quest before after day 1 so lets restart) day 1 of asking for the bubbly beer back from our fluffy boy
These videos are enjoyable to listen to while delivering for doordash and skip the dishes.
We've once waited 4 hours for a delivery of juice and mochi ice cream, and she can't wait 20 minutes for a sandwich?
It was not that long hunny lmao
Story 4 - well, that escalated quickly...
Lol
Yeah, she called back six months later cause no one would hire her and her entitled attitude.
1:36 if someone ever cheats on me and has the audacity to think their entitled to any thing then I would say "well how about a kick up where the sun don't shine"
Also shout out, pls :3
Karen: "i wanna speak to the manager"
Me, the manager: "bish i am the manager"
The shopping cart story reminds me of when I was young and dumb working a temp job at a grocery store where the cashier's were on strike. It was my job to get the shopping carts in from the parking lot. Several times the strikers jammed 20 or so carts together very forcefully and then tip the whole line upside down.
I thought that I found you last week then discovered I already subscribed. Love your channel.

I really want to meet these these karen's so I can expose them
HEY! Phrasing!
That fourth story tho... They both suck
He cheated on her admittedly and then proposed... Without any proof whether she cheated or not.
Some will do everything except breakup and I do kinda feel bad for her because the way her life went as downhill as it did.
I love your commentary
When blocking in a karens car with shopping carts, please remember to turn them upside-down before driving away!
What the hell do "knowing about garage sales" and price haggling have to do with "NOT FOR SALE" ??? If something is NOT FOR SALE, then anything pertaining to "garage sale expertise" or wtf-ever is COMPLETELY irrelevant!
