you can also freeze coffee with or without cream into cubes and use that instead of regular ice cubes. that way when it melts it doesn’t water it down. edit: i’ve frozen soy/eggnog cubes, both the regular and the pumpkin spice flavors, to use as creamers in iced coffees too. slightly off topic… freezing pureed or whole fruit, cucumbers, mint, etc is great for flat or sparkling water.
Girl, I was a barista for years. I have had some of the nicer gadgets, fancy organic whole beans, etc. and I STILL drink instant coffee every morning 😂
I prefer instant coffee most of the time.I don't get all the fuss of brewed coffee Why go to all that trouble? I would like to know how to make a good caramel frappe .
@@susanmcknight6401 well theres a few ways you can do it...powder way or like actual shot of espresso with caramel syrup etc milk or no milk...(not a pro barista but i was low key one at my old job)
2 T instant coffee 2 ounces hot water 2 T - 3T maple syrup (Binds together) 1 cup milk Measure ice 16 oz cup Splash little hot water in coffee to “bloom” it. Wait 30 seconds. Add rest of water. Add maple syrup and stir good. Put in blender with rest of ingredients and blend real good. Chao youtube is amazing and another web sight recommended maple syrup but can’t remember the name.
I am 70 years old and I have been drinking instant Folgers coffee since I was a young adult. Once in a while I will try brewed coffee, but I always go back to my instant. I love it! It is also very convenient. I add powdered collagen and coconut oil powder to my coffee in the morning, along with a creamer. Trying to make it healthy, but ruining it with the creamer, I know, but it is delicious. I can drink it hot or iced, it is wonderful either way. PS I love your cooking shows!
Ain't nothing wrong with quick and easy.We can't always go above and beyond and extra everyday😆😆I keep instant on deck to for those days you just want it fast.I also love iced coffee😍😍
NEED SOME right now☕️ Instant coffee to the rescue! Sometimes you just need to have it strong and super quick😎 I LUV the Korean spoon and chopstick u used as stirrers🙌
Love your ideas. I don’t drink hot coffee but love iced coffee. I just put a coffee pod into my Kuerig and brew it over ice, then add creamer or whatever and enjoy. My husband is a major coffee snob who has a $3,000 expresso coffee machine system and he just rolls his eyes at me. 😂 Different strokes for different folks! Enjoy! ☕️🧋🫖
I use powdered espresso instead of instant coffee. It's a much finer powder and disolves well in cold water. My iced coffee is more like an iced frappicino, I think. 20 oz cold water 2TB powder espresso 1 eyedropper full flavored liquid stevia (Vanilla or Hazelnut or Chocolate Rasperry) 1 tsp liquid trace minerals 2 TB Heavy Cream 3 Ice cubes Hit that with a stick blender till ice is completely crushed. That's 24oz of delish morning bliss, May - Aug breakfast. The rest of the year is hot, fresh brewed, coffee daily. Skip the ice, add 1TB Kerrygold & all the rest from above. Stick blender & enjoy.
I am an iced coffee snob. HOWEVER - I am also lazy and totally have powdered/instant coffee on hand bc sometimes I just can't be bothered (and if you're adding sweetener/flavor, then you can still make it tasty). Your cinnamon/vanilla cold brew is DELICIOUS and I have made it several times since watching it back in 2020. I really want to experiment with making an Horchata flavored cold brew. There's a coffee shop near me that does it, and it's delicious! Love your vids (and the honesty, haha). ♡
It's just the most economical option so sometimes I go back to using a French press or just my aeropress but over time I go back to instant for longer stretches of time lol. It works for me and my busy morning rush out the door!
You can dissolve instant coffee in cold water y'all. I messed up and accidentally pressed the cold button on the water dispenser and it totally worked! My dad's mind was blown lol
I find that dissolving the instant coffee in a bit of cold water, then adding the hot water makes it taste better. Also, brew cold brew on the counter overnight for better flavors.
I also keep instant coffee on hand for when I want ice coffee or just a quick hot cup. Sometimes I don’t want to use my Keurig. A lot of people use instant coffee because there still selling it.
Girl last summer, my daughter and I had the idea of making a pitcher of coffee (well about 4 cups) using HEB's instant coffee! I add hot water from my Keurig lol then refrigerate it to use throughout the week. It's simple, cheap, and delicious! Still do it to this day. 😁
Also, if you’re brewing your cold coffee in a mason jar you can place the coffee filter over the mason jar opening, add the ring to it, & balance the mason jar upside own over the fine mesh strainer. That way you don’t have to stand there pouring & waiting until you can pour again.
Fun video. I like iced coffee as well and also don't like wasting (rare) leftover coffee. I'll either do like you- in a jar in the fridge.... or I blend it with some milk (whole or canned evaporated) or whipping cream, maybe add some flavoring or a bit of condensed milk- no sweetener needed)- and freeze it in ice cube tray (or popsicle tray, lol). The cubes make it easy to flavor and cream the morning coffee, plus they don't dilute the coffee. God Bless you and Keep you Safe in HIS Loving Embrace. Have an AWESOME rest of the week.
I have never tried the instant coffee. But, I chuckled when you said you brew reg. Coffee and dont waste it and stick it in the fridge. I make a pot of coffee every other day and stick it in the fridge and use that til its gone. I use the sugared salted carmel flavor. And a flavor creamer. Over ice in a 12-18 hr thermas type holder and sip off that all day. I love it. Thanks for the advice.
Glad to see a video like this. I also use instant coffee to make most of my iced coffee drinks. I take a Starbucks cold coffee plastic cup and lid. I add ice and water from my fridge door. I add some instant coffee on top and add the lid I then put my finger over the hole in the lid and shake shake shake. I pop off the lid and add creamer and my choice of syrup. Put the lid back on and give it a shake, instant iced shaken drink 😄
Love getting different ideas. I was never a cold brew girl thought it was crazy. I still love my hot coffee but I buy all the flavours and whipping cream love tons of ice even bought a huge Starbucks cup. Jumped in both feet first. So thanks for the ideas. I also have the squeeze bottles of chocolate and salted caramel I’m very boogie now lol.
Haha me too, boooogie with my salted caramel syrup or I make my own creamer with sweet need condensed milk plus a killer water or reg milk and cinnamon or vanilla and I like espresso but I’m lazy so I’ll do instant espresso or Cafe Bustelo. Or I go cheapy cheap instant but strong!
I use instant coffee to make lattes. Tastes wonderful, actually better. I make espresso with instant coffee. Take a little espresso glass with water, heat in microwave then add a teaspoon of instant coffee. Pour into glass of ice, add cream and your choice of sweetener. Great latte!
I also have a confession to make never had cold brew coffee. It looks delicious but I just can't see myself drinking cold coffee. I knew this day was coming so I will give it a try and let you know what I think lol..
Everyone in my house knows if there is leftover coffee in the pot, it goes in a jar in the fridge for me! And I made a similar instant iced coffee yesterday because there wasn't any leftover coffee. It was great and quick and easy. No one should be shamed for instant coffee or cheap coffee or whatever. It's just coffee.
I do a pot of coffee and put it in a half side pitcher then add my creamer and stir. I then put in the ice box. When I want some it’s ready to go the only thing is you have to give it a shake. I also put a cup in the freezer to get it icy. Thank you for sharing. Much love from Santa Fe Texas ❤️❤️
I use Starbucks, instant. The little can , it looks small but it's 40 cups . If I want it more strong I also have the little packets of star bucks. So the can of instant is 10 bucks but it's 40 cups. The packets are about 6 to 7 but only 8 cups but if you compare too going too star buck for one cut at star bucks think if the savings. What I do I get the bottled water and take out about a quarter of water then put in the measurement then fill up my favorite coffee creamer. Then out the lid and shake, shake, shake. Some times I put one packet and I use a knife to fit in the opening of the top of water bottle and then add 2 teaspoons with is the tip of the knife so it fits so easy the recycle the bottle. I'm addicted. I do like ness cafe. Both thank you but to heating up . So easy. Just discovered this.
Guess I also confess...It's ok I also use instant coffee ☕ I like Nestle cafe. It's really good I also showed my mom to put away leftover coffee in the fridge and make ice coffee the next day. I add creamer or drizzle caramel on the sides of the glass or add whip cream. Also like doing the instant coffee into dalgona. Yummy. Besides why make hot coffee to then turn it into ice coffee. Lol
Instant coffee is the bees knees! My late mother in law used it and showed me and now it's a staple for me, especially with my little toddler running around!!! Cheaper than pre-made too?? Yes please!!
Me too! I make coffee in my coffeemaker and then put the whole pot in a a rubber made juice container and keep in frigid! I also use instant at times too if I need to if run out of my fridge stash! BTW! I love your recipes! 👍🙂
Not sure if anyone else has ever thought of this but quite some time back I tried reusable ice cubes from Amazon. They are great! Especially for iced coffee because they do not melt or water it down😄😎
Girl, same! When I want iced coffee, I want it NOW. Even the Dollar Tree instant isn't bad. Here's a tip for that syrup...add a splash or so into a glass of sparkling water or club soda and enjoy. Very tasty. Where do you find your brand of instant? I've not seen that.
Another beautiful video. I have been doing coffee for the past month or two (had stopped for a couple of YEARS). I was enjoying it, but noticed I wasn’t sleeping as good and gained some weight. Then I realized “duh” coffee raises Cortisol, which in turn raises Insulin, which causes wt gain. SO…I grabbed some Teechino French Dark Roast coffee substitute made from chicory (Amazon). Everything else about my coffee routine/add-ins remains the same. It tastes good, just a little different flavor. It has no caffeine, naturally. IOW it’s not “decaffeinated.” Teechino makes some other flavors, but they don’t taste like coffee, and the “Maca” version nearly gave me a stroke (kidding), but it revved me up in a very strange way that I did not enjoy. It doesn’t contain caffeine either, BUT it had some very stimulatory herbs in it. 😵💫
So, I just got the cold brew going and I did it just like you… even though my mason jar has a filter. I decided to not use it because I wanted to add cinnamon. Not sure I’d want vanilla though. So excited! And just sat down to enjoy watching a movie and work on my crocheting while enjoying iced coffee made your way with that instant coffee. I actually have that same instant coffee 😎 it is so good! So yum!! Thanks again 🤪
Cold brew is so expensive in the stores. If you have the time and a french press, you can make that at home. Its very smooth and less acidic. It does involve some patience as u should wait 24 hours. Also, you can buy espresso powder at the store. Its a little pricey but works well in a pinch.
I use instant to make iced coffee.... and am going to teach a class on it in 3 days. I add one Tablespoon instant coffee (Folgers from Sams Club is super cheap.), and 1 Tablespoon of any kind of coffee creamer.... mix that into a half cup of HOT water until it is disolved. Then add 2 ounces of a milk syrup (2 parts sweetened condensed milk and 1 part evaporated milk). Stir the three ingredients and pour over ice. This makes a 20 oz cup of iced coffee. You CAN add any kind of coffee syrup like vanilla, caramel, hazelnut, etc. to taste. If you want a mocha iced coffee, it is : 1 tablespoon instant coffee, 1 tablespoon coffee creamer, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa. I mix the cocoa and sugar together first to blend it well so the cocoa doesn't have lumps, then the other two. Pour this into a half cup of HOT water and stir. Again, add 2 ounces of your milk syrup and mix before pouring it over ice in your cup!! Super easy and cheap. Don't pay $5-$6 at Starbucks or other coffee houses.... make it yourself and it is SO GOOD!!
I too am a coffee drinker Angelica🥰 I cannot WAIT to try these new tips & tricks 🥰😍 🥰 Ps. I can totally get down with the instant coffee when life requires it! Don't let anyone judge u for that🙅♀️😄 Thank u for another awesome video, we appreciate u🤗
Been my morning ritual for a long time! I used to be a pour over snob. Instant, oat milk & sugar free syrup and a little cinnamon on top - delicious and I NEED IT every morning lol
I make my morning cup of coffee with my moka pot. Then to warm it up a make a second cup using the same grounds. If I have any left in my cup I leave on the counter and make an iced coffee in the afternoon. Three cups of coffee from the same grounds.
No shame in using instant coffee, if that’s what you like. I use it to make espresso martinis. Add 1 tsp instant coffee (I use Nescafé Classico) to a shaker, 2 oz vodka, 1/2 oz Khalsa, shake it up with ice. The coffee dissolves in the mixture. No need to heat up. Then I froth milk and layer it on top. If you have coffee beans you can float on top of the cream. Chocolate covered coffee beans works great!
you can also freeze coffee with or without cream into cubes and use that instead of regular ice cubes. that way when it melts it doesn’t water it down.
edit: i’ve frozen soy/eggnog cubes, both the regular and the pumpkin spice flavors, to use as creamers in iced coffees too.
slightly off topic… freezing pureed or whole fruit, cucumbers, mint, etc is great for flat or sparkling water.
I've used coffee ice cubes when making coffee ice cream milkshakes and guuuuuurl! Delicious.
I freeze coffee and also tea into cubes so I can add to my drink.

So glad to hear I am not the only one. I like Cafe Bustello's decaf instant and regular as well as Aldi's instant decaf and regular.
I prefer instant and love to bake with it!! Momma’s busy! 😂
Makes the best chocolate cake!
I love when you say, “give it a mix”.
Me too!!
Angelica, we know you’re human. You give so much good content on this channel we love you. Enjoy your shortcuts.
That is the brand I use and it is fabulous! It is like opening a bag of fresh roasted coffee beans! Good choice!
Iced coffee with half half and sweetened condensed milk together is super good . Got the idea from the Pioneer Woman 🙌🏻
I make mine the same way most of the time. It's delicious thanks for sharing see you in the next video
Interesting and simple 👍 thanks ❤️ I'll need to try it 🤗

Whipped cream w Hersheys syrup over top... the best.
I use instant coffee as well i make cold foam with the cream and Toranti with a frother. The instant coffee tastes just as good sometimes better.
Thanks 😊

Can do that with tea for iced tea...also fruits juice ice cubes instead of water.....

“All my coffee snobs” 😂😂😂
I'm an iced coffee snob!
Not sure if anyone else has ever thought of this but quite some time back I tried reusable ice cubes from Amazon. They are great! Especially for iced coffee because they do not melt or water it down😄😎
Best way to make iced coffee…with instant, my 88 yr old mom taught me that when I was probably a teenager!!
Great idea
Thank you- have u tried the sweetened coconut in coffee? So good
I used instant coffee also to make ice coffee!!
I used leftover coffee all the time and I use an instant Columbian coffee from Trader Joe’s that I LOVE!!! I’ll have to try the torani…. I use stevia
Amen to using leftover coffee from the pot to make iced coffee the next day! I do it all the time. 😁
Yummy love me some coffee too!
Its the way!!!
The best instant coffee hands down is Tasters Choice
Instant coffee is so good- I have never thought of making iced coffee with it. Loved this video.
Girl, same! When I want iced coffee, I want it NOW. Even the Dollar Tree instant isn't bad. Here's a tip for that syrup...add a splash or so into a glass of sparkling water or club soda and enjoy. Very tasty. Where do you find your brand of instant? I've not seen that.
I see it at Walmart online. :)

Cold brew is so expensive in the stores. If you have the time and a french press, you can make that at home. Its very smooth and less acidic. It does involve some patience as u should wait 24 hours. Also, you can buy espresso powder at the store. Its a little pricey but works well in a pinch.
Yessss, will you do more coffee drinks at home?? I love it and I also love making my drinks ahah.
Great recipe ideas! Thanks!
Me too!! I also use espresso and almond milk sometimes. No shame in instant coffee!
Iam trying this. I love ice coffees. 👍♥️♥️♥️🤗

I do the same thing. Try instant coffee Traders Joes its soooo good!
You for sure save some $$ 😋
I also use instant coffee for iced coffee and love it in the hot summer months here in the Northeast.
I like instant coffee too. I have never tried that brand but I just put it on my shopping list.
That Korean Maxim coffee is my fav!! I use all the time when traveling.🙌🙌
