I say this all the time. Everybody wants an optic on their carry pistol... I couldn't care less about that. Do we really think we'll have the luxury of a sight picture in a defensive scenario? If we can't put the rounds where we want them to go inside of 25' without using the sights, we should train more.
I really don’t understand why people don’t understand very simple and plain physics/geometry. It’s not brain surgery. The .45 round penetrates and expands much larger than the 9mm. It will always be like that. Unfortunately nowadays, we have Starbucks soy-boys running around with their $900 fancy sig p365x macro comp suppresses suppressor sighted mocha cappuccino coffee shop guns with 18+1 rounds of 9mm. Perhaps they need 20 rounds in a mag because they either don’t know how to shoot, or simply because they’ll need that many rounds to be equal to 2 rounds of a real man’s caliber the .45
Actually, a quick google search will tell you a 9mm hollow point penetrates just as well if not better then a .45. It’s simple basic science. You completely made up the “fact” that .45 has more expansion and penetration then 9mm. Couple the mag capacity and it’s no contest, a 9mm is superior on paper. That being said, I carry a glock 29 (10mm). Carry whatever you want, but don’t make up blatant lies and spread them on the internet.
I have the 26.5 and the 19.5 as well as the 30S. Terry, I really like the 30S. Have a new one that I recently acquired and am running it now to make it the carry. You have covered this weapon quite well and your take on it has been spot on. For now, all I am doing to it is wrapping some Talons on it as the grip is a bit slippery. Thanks again for a good solid review on a good solid weapon and platform.
Thank you for watching. I try to be as honest as I can. Run that pistol through its paces. Once you do and it becomes your carry you will never turn back. The talon grips is a good idea. I have them on my Sig p320 in 45. It is extra slippery for me.
I carry a 9mill and am thinking about the 30s i personally dont care what people think im a grown ass man and shed blood for your right to carry what you 🇺🇸 2A all the way
I used to carry 9mm because I jumped on the train with all the tacticool guys that act like they know what they're talking about. After talking to combat veterans and watching numerous police bodycam videos I determined that I no longer felt safe carrying 9mm.
I disagree. The Statue of Liberty carries the Glock 19. Bald eagles usually choose the Glock 30s, because it’s a bit easier to carry when they’re soaring around 😂
Have many Glock 9mm & a 21 & 30 both Gen 4 but I've been salivating for a 30S for some time; however the 36 is a appealing option but way I see it, if you can carry a 19 you can definitely carry a 30 or 30S . It's just hard for me to put down that 30 as my carry so until I get a 30S she'll stay on my hip.
I just picked up a new to me 30s and I’ve been carrying a 19. I’ll see if I can get good enough on the range with the 30s to start carrying it instead. I just wish they would make it in a gen 5 like my 19.
I bought the G30SF which is the SF frame but with a traditional G30 slide.. highly regretted it I was looking for the G30S but no store around had 1 In store so my ass let the sellers talk me into buying the G30SF they said the slide difference wasn’t that much lmao let me tell you the slide thickness is a lot thinner on the G30S!! I shot the G30SF before selling it an it shot okay but believe me or don’t but I’m telling you the G30S is a better shooter is way slimmer slide an less weight and it’s far easier to CC.. the G30S is the way to go! Do not get a plain G30 or G30SF get the G30S it’s the way to go no doubt about it
Gen 5 got a wider slide, for me its not an advantge, make some stippling, reduce maze and finger grooves. Change bar conector with Zev...an then comment. Excelent comparizon.
Well said but as 9mm fan, I dont think the main reason they get mad at you is not because you preferred nor choose the .45 but its probably due to them thinking that you think we are inferior. When we choose a caliber and a guns, its also due to preferrence and a reason. I agree that 45 is a bigger caliber. The reason why I prefer the 9mm its because it is a hollow point bigger than a 45 full metal jacket. So stopping power they are good to go. Ofcourse 45 Hollow points are better. We are already on the point they are sufficient, so our next preferenceafter stopping power is firepower (capacity). Anyways well said nice video
Thanks so much for showing this. I was in the gun store and held the 19 then the 30s, I didn’t get a chance to compare side by side, but like I said before, I’m going with the 30s. I just hope it feels a bit more compact inside the waistband than the 19 (I’ve carried a g 19 years ago)
They are not far apart. They are both compact carry weapons. One holds 10 rds of 45. The other holds 15 rounds if 9mm. The weight will be similar. The difference is the superior round the 45acp offers. You will need ALL of those 9mms
Great video!!! I myself prefer the .45 platform over the 9mm. I just have to wonder why law enforcement has decided to go back to the 9mm as opposed to the .45 caliber???
Cheaper. More capacity in large open carry guns and most of them do not Trai. But once a year to qualify. If you do not train you probably need more ammo. Thanks for watching
The real reasons? Capacity... Cops miss 70% of their shots inside 10 feet of the threat... so... more chances to hit something. 9mm was deemed "effective enough" by the FBI. Women and officers with smaller hands do better with 9mm.
I have a 30. I agree about the .45 and stopping power. I'm thinking now, that the best route for me.....would be if they made a Glock 19.....that shoots .45 cal! That, to me, would be the "hot" set up.
I agree. I would love to see like a 8+1 45 ACP pistol from Glock that is the same dimensions as a Glock 19. That would for sure become my new carry weapon.
@@TerryBenton I am wondering if the Gen 5 has the slim G-36 Slide AND the shorter trigger reach of the SF (short frame)? Yours says "SF" on the right side of the frame.
@HalfCrazy520 the SF refers to the frame size and I am not sure what is offered in the Gen 5. I am 100 percent sure they do not offer the G30S in Gen 5. That is the one I have with the slim slide. It is the same size slide that is on the G36
It is a 30s. The difference in the 30s amd the 30sf if the slide. The slide is the same size on a 30s as it is on a G36 single stack. The regular G30 has alot wider slide similar to the full size G21. ThankS for watching
I agree with you. The .45acp is far better than the 9 mm. The Glock 30S can take a 13 round mag. It all comes down to personal preference. NEVER SURRENDER YOUR GUNS.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Shot placement is for targets.
Real Scenario: it’s point and shoot.

@waholoopesorry74 the government uses 9mm because of cost and that is sad. There is no price savings worth my life
