  • We had a successful Koi spawning in part 3 of our breeding series. Something happened that we did not foresee in our breeding series. What is going to happen next during our breeding adventure?
    During this breeding project I share my experience with you on how I breed with a set of parent Koi. We will guide you through all the steps we take, show you all the important things that you have to know and of course share our failures as well.
    In the last video we have seen how the Goshiki female and two male Sanke from breeding Sakai started spawning. We had a lot of eggs, hundred thousands of eggs and we removed the parent Koi to prevent the Koi to eat their own eggs. In this video we will continue from there on, and see what will happen next!

    After couple hours change the water , also remove some eggs that sticks in brushes to different tank and after twos day eggs hatching , and after 3 days any eggs that turn milky white in the brushes that bad eggs take all the brushes that eggs still sticks on it out otherwise it rotten contaminated water will kill all fry that hatch

    hello friend, the eggs cannot be incubated in the pool with the residual sperm, they rot, you have to take them out, incubate them with methylene blue and new water, or they won't come out

      Hi there, thank you for sharing! You are totally right it would help to use methylene blue or malachite green. However, I didn't want to use so much poison/toxics in this stage already. As it is just for a small home breeding scenario, not commercial

    What is the result if both Kikokuryo? Or Kikokuryo female and male doitsu sanke?

    • @Aboutkoi
      @Aboutkoi  Год назад +1

      I would expect Kikokuryu in that case :). Kikokuryu + Doitsu Sanke, I think this will not be a very succesful spawn. It combines metallic with non-metallic, which probably results in a lot of black Koi. (I have the same doubt for my project btw)
