I just finished watching this 3-part series. As one just learning to really take care of my new car “right,” this series has been so helpful. Thank you so much.
Great video & series guys. Your how to’s have helped me keep my Charcoal Metallic Ram 1500 lookin of so fresh & clean… crazy how different the videos are now VS 5+ years ago
I feel the same way 😂 It’s a ton of work but after watching CG’s videos and buying my own arsenal of CG’s product I’ve started on my Ram 1500 and man it’s rewarding once it’s all cleaned up!
I understand that after using all these products in the order you prescribed, you can do maintenance waxing as needed. You say the ceramic coating will last about 12 months. So after 12 months and several maintenance wax coatings later, do I have to completely strip the car of all waxes, sealants, and ceramic coatings before starting over with a NEW ceramic coating? And if so, what product do I use to strip everything?
Hi there! It is recommended to remove degraded ceramic and apply a fresh coat to a bare surface. After 12 months a wash using Clean Slate or light polish will remove any remaining ceramic.
How long after would I wait to apply from the start of the ceramic coating, glaze, sealant and wax, I know the first ceramic was 3 hours before applying the other ceramic coating, but then how long after for the other ones?
Very important question. Do I need wait any amount of time before Adding my next product? Example once I get done adding my butter wax do I have to wait any additional time to add hydro speed or do I add it right after applying wax?
So, you saying it's ok to apply Hydro Charge, then HydroSlick, then a glaze, a sealer and then a wax? I kept reading that adding this over ceramic coating is counter productive? Is this true? I've only been using HydroCharge and Hydroslick and that's it. I've been using HydroSpeed and the wash to keep up with it.
Glaze should be before the ceramic coating. Think about it for a second. If you apply ceramic first. Your paint is "Sealed" after the coatings, how is adding a glaze going to fill in minor paint imperfections?
Hey! Enhance a deep gloss by applying Black Light and then Jet Seal. This can be followed up with a coat of your favorite wax if desired. Happy detailing!
If I'm reapplying all products (Say like every 4-6 months) do I need something to remove or break down the old layer of products or just reapply everything right over top?
Hi CG, have a question about my detail steps on a Black or Silver car. Ok to use Hydro Speed Detailer after 3hr cure on HC and HS then next is Glaze and Seal? Should I add V07 wax after all is done? Been told differently about adding wax after all this detail process. Detail Steps. Clean Slate wash Clay bar C4-Orange Pad P4-White Pad Wipe Out Spray Hydro Charge (3Hr Cure) Hydro Slick (3Hr Cure) Hydro Speed Detailer? Glaze (Black Light) Black Car Glaze (Mirror Wet) Silver Car Seal (Jet SeaL) (12Hr Cure) Wax (Hybrid V07)?!? Maintain Hydro Suds Hydro Speed
Hey Jonathan! Thanks so much for tuning in, great detailing line up! This is a great method for adding protection and shine. Absolutely, finishing with wax enhances a natural warm gloss while boosting existing coatings.
Great video guys. I have recently waxed my car with Butter wet wax and was wondering if wiping it with CG's Hybrid V07 would do any good? Does it add anything to already waxed car or should I just use them both separately?
@@ChemicalGuys speaking of CF, if using CF as the ceramic (or really any ceramic), would you use the glaze to fill any remaining scratches from paint correction prior to applying CF, after, or leave a glaze out of the flowchart all together?
How long do I wait betweet coat. Ceramic to glaze to jetseal to butterwax. Planning to do all this in a day so I need to know it's cured well between coat
@@cheyenne8735 no man I had already did the compound stages and then polished my car.. then I did a black light glaze which is a sealant that protects the polish. And then my wax
I was under the impression that you are supposed to go with either a ceramic treatment or a Sealant/wax treatment. But you are saying to use them all at once?
Thank you guys for another awesome video! I know you said to wait three hours after the ceramic for JetSeal but how long after JetSeal should you wait to Butter wet wax? Thank you!
Hey Saul! White Light is a glaze that will mask minor swirls while enhancing gloss and depth however it will not add the same level of protection that you will achieve with a sealant.
Hi Timothy! HydroCharge, HydroSlick and JetSeal will last up to 12 months but it is perfectly fine to reapply as often as desired. Butter Wet Wax, in normal conditions will last a few months.
I just finished watching this 3-part series. As one just learning to really take care of my new car “right,” this series has been so helpful. Thank you so much.
Great to hear!
Awesome series! I’m about to start getting into detail my own car. And these tips are perfect. I would love to see the interior flow chart! Lol

loving Henry's excitement in this one!

My planned process: Thorough rinse, APC (bottom portion of car/bumpers), Snow foam pre wash/soak, Rinse, Shampoo wash/Rinse, Iron removal, Rinse/Dry, Clay bar, Optional Rinse + Dry, IPA prep wipe, Polish, Glaze (CG White Light), Sealant (CG Jet Seal), Wax (CG Butter Wet Wax). Please advise if correct or any further recommendations.
Sounds great!!

Hey! After allowing the ceramic to bond you can layer glaze, sealant, and/or wax immediately after each other.
Hi there,
Thanks for sharing all your products.
Thanks for watching!
@@ChemicalGuys keep up the nice work!
You guys are the best . Plz make a video on maintaining wraps and paint protection film and the products that can be used on them

I have a black pearl metallic truck what would I do different to really make the pearl stand out? Love the videos!!!
Hi Jamie! Check out Black Light Glaze to enhance depth and gloss as well as magnify pearl effect.
Yes, interior next!
Happy detailing!
So I have a new black chevy corvette. What products should I use and should I use ceramic coating or no?
I ha e a black lifted truck I like lack light ca I use jet seal after a nice coat of black light
Hey! Enhance a deep gloss by applying Black Light and then Jet Seal. This can be followed up with a coat of your favorite wax if desired. Happy detailing!
After applying Hydroslick do i need to wait 24hours before i can apply any other products?
Hey Alex! Allow about three hours before applying additional coatings and the vehicle should remain dry for the next 12 to 24 hours.
After you wash and clean your ride how often should you wash it again after you have used all the products? Every week, 2 weeks 🤷🏾♂️
Hey Anthony! Wash your ride as often as desired. Most detailing enthusiasts will wash their car every week to maintain a clean, smooth finish.

How long should you wait between applying differnt products? Like how long after Jet Seal to apply Butter Wet Wax?
Jet Seal you can let it cure for like 2-3 hours bro 🤟🏻🤟🏻 it’s time consuming but it’s worth it
Hey Dan! Allow about 3 hours before layering ceramic with additional coats of sealant and wax.
If I'm reapplying all products (Say like every 4-6 months) do I need something to remove or break down the old layer of products or just reapply everything right over top?
Hey! Ceramic will last up to 12 months so it can be layered or stripped to start fresh.

Absolutely! Use Hybrid V07 to boost gloss and protection while safely removing dust and grime.
Got clean slate in stock.
Best combo hydro charge & détail spray?
Gonna get hydroview for the Glass beside.
Hey Michel! Thanks for watching. Pair HydroCharge with HydroSpeed to maintain coatings.
Do you have to use the whole ceramic coat line or can you just use one product like hydro slick around the whole vehicle??
Hi Dante! One bottle of HydroSlick can coat several vehicles when used properly.
@@ChemicalGuys lmao what.
Chemical guys is number 1
Glad to have you as part of the Chemical Guys family!
How often should you spray hydro speed ? Every maintenance wash ?
Hey! Use HydroSpeed at the end of the detailing process as well as in between washes to maintain coatings and a clean finish.
If I put hyrdoslick on do I have to put on a glaze or can I just skip and do the jeyseal or wax
Hey! Glaze is an optional step, it is perfectly fine to move on to sealant and/or wax.
2nd
And Carbon Force is a great coating product.
Gotta love Carbon Force!!
@@ChemicalGuys speaking of CF, if using CF as the ceramic (or really any ceramic), would you use the glaze to fill any remaining scratches from paint correction prior to applying CF, after, or leave a glaze out of the flowchart all together?
Should one use an IPA wipe between the polishing and ceramic spray coating stages? Thank you!
Hi Mary! Absolutely, ensure the surface is totally clean before applying ceramic by using a surface cleanser such as Wipe Out.
@@ChemicalGuys
Thank you!
This is an amazing series.
If I want to do hydro slick, glaze, jet seal, and butter wet wax, how long in between applications do I have to wait?
Hey Jared! After about three hours, HydroSlick can be layered with your favorite glaze, sealant, and wax.
What is the best paint protectant for a daily driver?
Hey Ben! Check out HydroSlick to give your paint a durable layer of protection while enhancing gloss.
How long after the ceramic coating until we can add the glaze? I will be applying Carbon Force.
Hey! Allow at least three hours before applying additional coatings.
How long do I wait betweet coat. Ceramic to glaze to jetseal to butterwax. Planning to do all this in a day so I need to know it's cured well between coat
Hey! Glaze, sealant and wax can be applied almost immediately after each other, allow 15 to 30 minutes in between.
So after a wash ,glaze would go on first (hide imperfections)then hydrocharge to seal in the no imperfections look ?
Hey Roberto! Apply HydroCharge to a bare surface and then it can be layered with your favorite glaze, sealant, and/or wax.
So I can use Hydro Slick and then top it off with Butter Wet Wax?
Absolutely!!
Do you need a glaze if you want to do the butter wax?
Hi! Glaze is an optional step that will mask minor swirls and scratches while magnifying metallic flake and pearl effect.
Are you able to skip the glaze and go right to jet seal after putting hydro charge ?
Hey! Yes, glaze is an optional step.
How often should I wash to maintain?
Hey Luis! Wash as often as necessary or every few weeks to maintain gloss and durability.
Love y'all's video's keep it up... I've got some y'all product.. question do you have to clay bar? Or can you wash and then polish and then wax?

@@ChemicalGuys Thanks so much!
So the glaze goes on top of the Hydro Slick? That seems a little counter intuitive.
Hey! Yes, we recommend applying HydroSlick first, then apply your glaze, sealant, and wax. Thanks for watching!
Why glaze after the ceramic instead of applying glaze first?
Hi there! Ceramic bonds best to a bare surface, this will ensure the most durability.
Can I reapply glaze/wax every month or so for added shine or would I need to start the flow chart over beforehand?
Hey Adam! That is perfectly fine to apply your favorite glaze and wax as often as desired.
Can you put the hydro slick on top of the butter wet wax or do you have to put hydro slick first then butter wet wax ?

Do i have to apply hydro speed after the wax or is optional??
Hey! Maintain a clean finish while boosting your coatings in between washes by using HydroSpeed.
Henry fanboy here ‼️
Thanks so much for watching!
What items do I need to tape of when using the polishes?
Hey Joe! Avoid sensitive surfaces that are prone to staining such as plastic and rubber trim.
When do I use white light in between these steps?
Also wondering when I use wheel guard after applying some of these on white wheels?
Apply White Light to a bare surface or after applying ceramic and before sealant and/or wax.
How long the coatings of all products will last...
Hi there! HydroCharge and HydroSlick will last up to 12 months.
@@ChemicalGuys thanks 🙂
@@ChemicalGuys is any of them last atleast 2 years?
What would be white light main use? The same as jet seal?
Hey Saul! White Light is a glaze that will mask minor swirls while enhancing gloss and depth however it will not add the same level of protection that you will achieve with a sealant.
@@ChemicalGuys great, thanks!
After removing hydroslick do I have to let cure for 3 to 4 hours before I apply glacé , jet seal and wax?
