As far as I am concerned, when you do everything in a different colour but in the same level of brightness, it will turn out to be matchy-matchy. That's what she did, because you can't really tell if the colours are in the same brightness level, unless everything is black&white
For example, if you use Neon Pink and Pastel Pink they are not gonna match. But if you use Neon Pink with Neon Green or Pastel Pink with Pastel Green they are gonna do a work.
(I hope I made my point clear, English is my third language😅)

Building without using the color filter was a bold move and it paid off. It looks great.
After watching this, I tried this challenge, but I used the color filter. It is wild to see what is tagged in each color - my gray kitchen ended up with a green fridge and stove (I guess it's tagged gray because of the handles?) 😂
Watching your videos has actually helped me become better at building and roofing which is awesome bc I’d usually just build like a square with no roof
When I started playing I didn't know you had to place roofing and obv I didn't start with a starter home but with building something and all my first few builds have no roof or ceiling xD it also took me ages to figure out how to get a floor up or down and build multilevel houses but thanks to youtubers like Syd I've actully become quite good at building as well :>

the maximalism really pulled this build together! all the bright, bold colors look intentional even if very mismatched in some places. and that yellow hallway/study era was stunning, that color scheme is so cute! overall very impressive considering the challenge.
Seeing this entire build in grayscale for most of the video makes me think if it's possible to make a fully monochromatic build in the sims!! I think that would be a fun tiny house challenge ❤
the black and white look at firts looks really cool, it gives haunted house vibes. i love the way u build this and i think it turn out totally amazing with a kind of exotic old house vibes? i think❤im definally going to try this in game

Love this video. Wanted to suggest a gameplay challenge: Creating a simple family with a mom, dad, daughter, and +, and trying to complete all wants, aspiration goals, and career tasks plus getting married and having at least two kids using only the daughter.

We just bought a house recently and we are about the same age i think too! Id recommend when you find the house to shop around for the best interest rate and some bigger banks to price matching and no pmi even with a small amount for a down payment.

you should do the same challenge except you’re allowed to use color filters! i think it would be tricky to make the shades match and only you could make it look good!

I think, overall, it looks better than if you succeeded. Only one colour in each room is hard to look at. This is actually kinda nice, also kinda weird .

I have a challenge. Every tiny home is a different shape, however, the objects you use has be that shape, for example lets say a square, the only objects that can go into it that square. I would say the expectation would be kitchen counters, bath tubs etc that only come in one shape. (Unless one wants to see how many objects you can find of a specific shape..)
I just want to say it is kinda funny how everything is in black and white, then you have the bright colours in your room. Also I love you channel you make my day everytime i watch one of your videos!

It’d be cool to see you do this challenge again but with the colour filter! Then the challenge isn’t so much GETTING the colours, but making them match (without being able to see, of course)

I genuinely like this house. I can see a sim who loves painting and collecting different things. This is for a very fun sim who is so happy and their favorite color like my granddaughter is rainbow.

I think a cool challenge would be like all of the rooms have to be he wrong room like you have to have all the items for it like for example for he dining room you have to put a bed, end tables, basic bedroom stuff, and you have to use those to make a dining room

Can you do a color challenge where every room is a different random scale?? Like if the wheel lands on red you have to do a room using the red-scale, or if it lands on blue you use blue-scale to decorate that room!! I love your videos!!!

Finally a sims RUclipsr who doesn’t bring up anything political or similar things. You’re literally my favorite person now just because you don’t bring up bs. You just chill and play the sims and I really respect you for it.
Please try this challenge with inverted colours ❤ this house looks so good though...even if some were a miss it was quite cohesive (except for the third floor😂)

Just a suggestion, but maybe next time use the filters so that you truly only get items of a certain color and so you don't have to do it based on memory 😅

this was a great build!!! I always enjoy your vids! You should do this challenge again but spin a wheel. Then use the filter option to filter the color. Will still be chaotic because all the colors swatches don’t match.
My phone has a greyscale filter too, so I turned it on just for this video! definitely adds to the vibe as a viewer too, me thinks :)
August first triggers the halloween in me too, i literally JUST finished my august bulletjournal, and the theme is like... purple/witch/spooky garden!

I have a challenge idea: the IKEA challenge! First, build a shell on a large lot, then on a separate lot place everything you want to buy and put into the house. This includes the right color, quantity, and all the clutter you need. (If you want it to be realistic you can pre place counters, since they will be “built in” to the house). Then, move the items onto the lot with your build and furnish!
You can use move objects, but only to move things to be flush, you can’t merge items together. Once you picked all your items you can’t add more, and unused items may be moved into an attic/basement/storage space in the build or placed at the front of the lot as a yard sale.
Windows, doors, columns, etc. are not considered part of the items, and you can adjust them however. Same with wallpaper and flooring. Outdoor landscaping isn’t included with the items, but any potted plants or houseplants are.

I have an idea...you could try to make the Disney fairies (Tinkerbell, periwinkle, etc) from Pixie hollow. They would be so beautiful because of the way you make your Sims 😋

i saw on your twitter that you finally bought a house, you should build it in the sims and decorate to be like your dream house!! (obvi you could change somethings/be careful not to give up your location lol)
Build Idea : Place several of the same cheap object (say the metal chair for example) on a lot.
Use the simray to transform these objects into other things. Only use the transform action ONCE on each item!
You must use a certain number of each of these transformed items to build the room/lot no matter how weird the item is you get.
Example : Use 2 transformed items within each room and/or for the theme of the landscaping.
It turned out amazing! Not Syd still not knowing what a yarny is everytime she picks that doll 🤣🤣💖
