🍿 BLOOD & GOLD (2023)
🎬 Connor heads back to World War 2 for this maniacal, crunching spaghetti Western war movie. There's an isolated town with a stack of hidden gold bars, and there's plenty who want it, including the SS. Just how exciting is this action-packed treasure hunt?

I think this film was leagues better than Sisu because the main protagonist wasn't a super human. It also obviously felt very Tarantino in style which I think worked nicely for the pulpy tone
As a fan of westerns and a fan of ww2 movies this was alot of fun,not perfect but very very enjoyable and original, the town looked great and enjoyed the tone, music, characters and fighting scenes,im a horror fan also so i enjoyed the movie overlord in the same way, probably not for everyone but i really liked it,there are certain aspects which could have elevated it but was all round good genre mashup. 7.5 out of 10
I liked how the lieutenant colonel was chomping perfodin like they were smarties, nice detail.
This was old school good/great and works because just about everyone is damn tough. Hollywood just doesn't understand that tough means 'tough minded', you don't have to be the fastest/strongest/etc., you just have to have the mindset that you are not gonna quit but also not do anything stoooopid. Good&bad tough guy/gals go at it in many gritty fights throughout a story that flows well. Not perfect, but very good.
Watched this today and was blown away with this brilliant film. Out of the blocks it had undertones of Tarantino with a spaghetti western soundtrack in places. Several little plot lines going on kept the interest going along with the fast paced action throughout. Your review was excellent and I enjoyed it also. I’d give it an 8 out of 10
It was a good and fun film but I think it was trying a bit too hard to copy inglorious orious bastards or Quentin style movies still Schindlers list or the pianist is my favourite ww2 films. Great content as always peeps 👍.
That's a very fair comment! Cheers Leon!
Yeah i have just watched 10 minutes and went here to see if i would find comments like this. Cringy to copy like that and over the top from the start. Nice pictures though.
Love how the era of two similar B movies being released at the same time is returning.
A Great Action Flick, with great twists and turns. The ending left me in stitches!
I was like the church is gonna come down in Karma but the final ending left me in tourniquets.
That cyanide pill scene absolutely blew me away.
Love from a JeremyJahns and Vaush fan!

I shall have to check that out!
This and sisu are like live action golden kamuy. Sisu is really like sugimoto the immortal!
I was expecting some chemistry between Heinrich and Elsa
I am glad there wasn’t to be honest as focused on Heinrich fighting for his daughter and Else to avenge her brother. Maybe they got together later though.
Nice nice. I also like the new outro
