I owed one new back in 1976 disconnected oiler and ran full synthetic at 100 to 1. The irony is I am now looking at buying one over here in New Zealand same sort of nick as yours.
I was very careful to make sure the oiler was working on mine before I ran it. And I make sure it still is now when I ride it! There is one on TradeMe currently I see.
