Absolutely true. I dont care for the highest level of graphics such as on the PS4 or Xbox One, I will make due with the graphics on Switch. But when you make Graphics your weapon for why you cut content... those graphics better be good to make that excuse. And I will ridicule those graphics unless they are perfect.
Exactly! I had no problem with the graphics of any Pokemon game ever, because what I want is lots of Pokemon, a fun region, and actual improvements in other aspects like the 3D models. When we don't get stuff like that, I expect the graphics to be perfect
Commander_Ninja in fact, I would think graphics mean a lot in a Pokemon game. It is necessary to represent what a Pokemon looks like, what its behaviors, and how the moves would look like. Gives them personality and things. I had been supporting Gamefreak for almost a decade, and this might be the first time I’m not willing to invest my money and time in a Pokemon game.
I always like to look at b/w for an example of how much graphics help a game. Sure it was all pixelated, but IMO the animations of the pokemon always seemed waaaay more lively then x/y and future games did. Like, bird Pokemon for example, in b/w they all had fairly unique animations, and the 3d games are all... Bird Flaps Wings™
@@pyrojinn Exactly. The graphical quality is part of what makes the Pokemon world come alive and what can make the Pokemon feel like amazing creatures you can bond with.

Ban Fortnite Please this isn’t the Wii. The Wii came out over a decade ago. The argument of gameplay over graphics is something I agree with, but that doesn’t mean we can’t expect a 2019 game to look good. Just look at some other Switch titles, Breath of the Wild, Odyssey, etc. Great looking games. GameFreak has no excuse.
To be honest, I've been really nervous about doing this video. Mainly it comes down to my opinion of the graphics. I'm sure there are plenty of people who think they look great, and my fear is that those people will think I'm being unreasonable. But I've got to stand by my opinion here--they look very nice in certain places and conditions, and the color especially makes things pop. But I just think it's lacking that extra level of sharpness and polish that I've come to expect from AAA Nintendo games, and the animations leave a lot to be desired. If you're one of those people who love how it looks and just don't see the same thing I see when you look at it, I totally understand that and I hope we can respectfully disagree.
Disappointed by how apologetic about your own opinions you sound. If someone doesn't agree with you because they have other opinions and are rude because of it, telll them to fuck off, simple as that. Also personally agree with you on how bad and unexcusable 90% of the graphics are.
What annoys me the most about the lack of a National Dex is that I know for a fact that later on "Bringing back the National Dex" will be a selling point for future generations.
And they will act like they're doing this massive work for the fans when was already showcased in multiples ways that their reasoning for dropping the National Dex is pure bs.
Beatriz Zacharias was it not clear they are doing this because of Pokémon home? Like models and animation arguments aside it seems perfectly clear the only reason is cause we are switching from Pokémon bank to home. Because while possible in this Gen as it was planned as a 3ds generation, there isn’t a guarantee Gen 10 for example won’t have this issue because by then they’d be using the same models for 12+ years worth of games any any sain company would be all about a visual overhaul or more lively models by then. So somewhere in the future of using Home we won’t have access to any Pokémon at all, so they are pulling the bandage now because if consumers are used to all their Pokémon in home working on mainline games for years and then suddenly not, that’s a bigger issue for selling Home than having that be an issue right from the start so anyone who has home is used to ir
It seems that SOME models are being updated, Ribombee looks noticeably different with bigger wings. But I've seen the gyarados comparison, and it's pretty blatant.

Yet still, there are like 20+ Pokemon that evolve through trade and if you aren't lucky to have friends that also play Pokemon, you're kinda screwed. Yes, technically you can trade those Pokemon with people met on the internet, but they are rarely willing to do that (at least from my experience), saying to just put that Pokemon on GTS - but with that it's no longer the same Pokemon (not to mention if you would like to evolve f.e. your shiny Kadabra or perfect IV Gurdurr).
This is also the company that ACTIVELY forces Kanto into everything. Dynamax would be a Kanto only thing if Let's Go wasn't a thing, mark my words. I wish Nintendo would just take over Pokémon at this point

@JC [Ridley] Both sides have shitty people and good people. From my experience, those toxic people have been predominant on the side of the Pokémon defenders. But that might just be because I pull in those people. In any case, I'd rather a game be overcriticized at first and loved later, than the other way around. That being said, I don't think it is being overcriticized. Some people are just hateful and/or jump on the bandwagon for poor reasons. Perhaps if the Pokémon Company spoke out on the matter, making a positive promise for improval, I would tone down my voice... but until then, there's no way in hell I'm gonna pretend I'm happy with what they're putting out.
@JC [Ridley] Pokémon used to be considered a friendly fanbase which helped new people. Now we have a massive flame war, our reputation will be destroyed. When we have debates we can't insult each other and let millions of people down. I'm not going to buy the game but I'm not going to insult someone who wants to get it. So lets stay a friendly fanbase where anyone feels at home.
@JC [Ridley] well that's your problem. Stop associating yourself as well other people in fan bases. You can enjoy the worst possible game ever made when many people don't . That doesn't take away the experience for you at all. By all means do what you gotta do and ignore those people. It's your money that matters most, not the fanboys.
I mean it's simple business. More money = more profit = better product. That is the very definition of profit. Extra money made from a product after cost that can then be used to improve the next product. They're not doing that. It's not some grand secret conspiracy. Anybody with even the smallest amount of business sense can see that these guys are not putting the appropriate amount of resources into these games.

Yeah, for some context to those who don't know who Mr. Rogers is. He was quite possibly one of the kindest people to ever live on this Earth. He started up a show to teach kids along the lines of Sesame Street, called Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. He went out of his way not only to teach children how to be kind and how to be safe and learn in this world, but he did the same for everyone he met. He was renowned among reporters and interviewers as one of the hardest people to interview, because he'd always start asking the interviewer questions and wanting to know about them. He made scrapbooks of pictures he took with people that he met. He wrote back to every piece of fan mail personally, dedicating I believe 3 hours every day to it. His kindness and belief that everyone had the ability to do and be good was so genuine. It's why the phrase. *"You're not being the person Mr. Rogers thought you could be."* Is such a biting piece of criticism. It's barely even an insult, instead it's a critique on how you're acting. He always believed that people could choose to be better than who they are now, even if it's a slow process. Getting hit with the realization that someone _genuinely_ believed that you can be acting better than you are now can put you into a daze.

BW/BW2 and USUM pushed the limits on their respective consoles because they were the last Pokémon games on their consoles. While both consoles had rough Pokémon games to start with with DP and XY. Let’s hope that SWSH are the XY of the switch and game freak improves as they get used to the hardware and push it to the limit with gen 9 or 10.
The Switch version of Doom 2016 looks surprisingly good, all things considered. It has more or less all of the effects intact and just comes off as a mostly blurrier version of the other console ports. You can point out some things that look more different like no screen-space reflections and lights culling at shorter distances but, when it comes to things like pbr, motion blur, particles, depth of field, ambient occlusion, etc. that really make the game flourish, all that's in the Switch version.

@@ChangedMyNameFinally69 The story was better than almost every other gen and certainly more involved. Most other stories in Pokemon games are not exactly the most thought-out things in the world. Bad graphics? These games were possibly the most ambitious in the series, with the dynamic camera both in overworld and battle, all-new moving sprites for every single Pokemon, etc. Overly pixelated at times, but I enjoy looking at it much more than some of the other games in the series. It's a bit pretentious, but I don't see that as a continuing trend. It may not be the most difficult, but it's not as easy as XY or the games that came after. The reason earlier games were difficult were because of bad level pacing (DP and HGSS in particular), and these games are paced pretty well. There weren't many changes to the mechanics, so yes this is where the stagnation started, but they added quite a bit to the existing mechanics in the forms of hidden abilities and such. This game innovated quite a bit with formula breaks in story, visuals and presentation - I don't see how you can say they didn't innovate. And the bad rivals have been a thing since gen 3. As for the sequels, they are one of the most content-filled games after HGSS in the entire series, and they do many more things differently than 3rd games like Platinum or Emerald ever did. Bad Pokemon design isn't really worth talking about, there are great designs and bad designs in every gen.

I was insanely patient. When they released Ultra Sun & Moon, which was virtually the same game as before, I said “Okay, Game Freak is building up money and time to really invest in the next generation console Pokémon game.” When they released Let’s Go: Pikachu and Eevee, which was admittedly underwhelming, I said “Okay, Game Freak is just dipping their toe in the water. Once the next generation hits, it’s gonna take the world by storm.” And after all that waiting, I get a game with extremely underwhelming graphics and doesn’t even contain all the Pokémon. From the highest-grossing media franchise of all time. I was on the edge of growing out of Pokémon, so believe that I am saying this with complete neutrality. This is going to sound incredibly mean, but Game Freak has gotten away with playing it safe and doing the bare minimum for too long. Nintendo needs to force them out using the majority holdings and give Pokemon to a hungry third party developer who wants to innovate. We have played through Kanto in Red, Blue, Yellow, Fire Red, Leaf Green, a re-release of Red, Blue, and Yellow on the 3DS, a re-release of Red, Blue, and Yellow on the Virtual Console, Let's Go Pikachu, and Let's Go Eevee. All of the Alola forms in Sun and Moon were from Kanto. The majority of mega-evolutions were Kanto pokemon. Twenty plus years of serving up the same thing over and over. Heck, the Galar champion's signature pokemon is a charizard because heaven forbid we do anything that isn't firmly attached to Kanto. The minute we got 3D models in X and Y, the pokemon all just sit there lifeless after they pop out of the pokeball. I long for the days of Black and White 2 where the pokemon at least have personality.

What I don’t see mentioned enough is that Game Freak promised a game that would satisfy “hardcore” fans after seeing that LGPE would be directed at the most casual (GO players) audience. But a Charizard fan, they can sure rest easy that even though their TWO megas are gone, they are but guaranteed a Gigantamax form.
You know thats one thing that always weirded me out. Pokemon makes billions of Dollars for Nintendo and yet I keep hearing the phrase "Not enough funds for development'... Are you kidding me? I'm not buying their excuse of delaying AC to make it better, they had plenty of time since 2012 to make a new game and by the time it comes out the Switch will be three years old. They're probably delaying it so they can milk Pocket Camp for a bit longer.

Gonna quote a comment someone left on Jwittz video on the subject: "Really loath when people bring up "but I just end up using the new pokemon in the new games, so it doesn't matter;" Implying that people who are upset about their missing pokemon WEREN'T going to do that? I'd play with the new pokemon as well, but I still want to be able to transfer my favorites for AFTER the story. Moreso, so what if people want to go through the story with their beloved older pokemon? It doesn't affect your game at all." I agree, wanting the National Dex back does not mean you don't like playing with the new Pokemon. Those things are not mutually exclusive. I hear from a breeder's perspective, not having the National Dex is really bad: www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/bzrdcg/a_breeders_perspective_from_the_latest_news_i/ I was really hoping Pokemon on the Switch would be in the same league and caliber as BotW and Odyssey in terms of how big, grand, epic, polished, and innovative those games were for their respective series
I wasn't that concerned about graphics until they claimed that cutting the nation Dex allowed them to focus on "high quality animations" after that I went back and looked at the graphics decided to boycott it
Graphics aren't everything, but in a visual medium like Video Games, they are important. And related to graphics, performance is KEY. Remember X&Y and Sun and Moon? They ran like dogshit. I'm worried this game will run like junk.

Some of the businesses of the Pokémon company are extremely shady. Specifically, enhanced versions. I've hated them ever since I first got into Pokémon. It feels like you are punished for being being an early adopter. Not only that, but Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon were advertised as being drastically different than Sun and Moon. I felt lied to as I thought Sun and Moon were more exciting experiences thanks to the better plot. I sort of understood Crystal, Emerald and Platinum, after all, you couldn't update those games via the Internet. But in an age of updates and DLC this whole thing is a bit off. Especially when you consider the Ultra games were planned before Sun and Moon were even out. This whole thing feels like something EA would do, not Nintendo.
Steven C. BW2 were amazing and completely deserved to be sold as a double version, USUM didn’t. They should have just called it Pokémon Stars and released it as one game. Even the Necrozma form you fight at the end of both games is exactly the same. Just put that mofo on the cover and you’re good.
where did you hear about it being considered before sun and moon were out? it was never asvertised as a sequel I agree though it was less different then it let on still different though but yeh… as for the plot feels weird to say sun and moon had a better plotalthough I still think the ultra games still had a good plot honestly as for your opnion on the "enhanced games"you makea goodpoint like seriously everyone expects them but at that point why even buy the base version?
Holy crap. I've been a fan of the games since the beginning and the constant dropping of amazing new features always baffled me, but I never had considered your "line of mediocrity" argument. It makes perfect sense...
Well. I have been saying this a lot. So I will say it again. Many people defending this game sound like they have never played another videogame in their whole lives except Pokémon. There many, many JRPGs coming out soon for Switch that look (and are) miles better than this half-assed Pokémon. Dragon Quest XI, Digimon Cyber Sleuth, Yokai Watch 4 (And Shin Megami Tensi V but who knows when....) The case of Yokai Watch is even more salt in the wound for Pokémon. Because Yokai Watch is about to die in Japan. And yet they made the fourth game incredibly ambicious and completelely overhauled the combat system. Not all Yokais are there, but the Devs actually promised to increase the Yokai count with updates. See how easy it was to avoid all this sh*tstorm?
@@PeruvianPotato Also, Yo-Kai Watch has never allowed you to transfer your collections from previous games at all (unless it's to a rerelease, like with Psychic Specters). There are some bonuses reliant on previous games but you always have to start from scratch.

This is a company that deliberately keeps the quality of their games at a specific point instead of trying to make the best games they can. That's a red flag, don't put all your eggs into this basket, the Pokemon Company doesn't want to make great products
if they make the definitive pokemon experience with lot of stuff and modes to play, people will not have a reason to buy the next title, typical marketing strategy, don't reveal all of your cards at once
@@bowserlv100 Well, you have to pay extra money to get online! That's a new feature! That's a new feature too! ...man, it's hard to list new features that don't involve *something* old being cut out and replaced.
@@sharkpyro93 I understand where you're going with that, but it became a poor strategy because of GF's reputation. I like that you specified that this is typical, what I'm saying is that said strategy is all there is to Game Freak's basket. The games are the same and the gotta catch em all slogan is played out. I wanted to argue for your first point how Pokemon 1 & 2 were efficient in demonstrating value. As archaic and buggy as the early titles were, most of us bear fond memories of them because of the precedent that was set. Nowadays, they're having trouble indicating what makes pokemon relevant. This evidenced by so called Dynamaxing and things like Koffing with a top hat. This is not good because games are demanding a higher price. They could get one over on teens (as they have for some time) with the handheld versions. Not so much for adults who control the home console market. Parents trying to introduce the series to their kids at a 60-70 price mark isn't as compelling as games parents could buy for themselves at the similar prices/bargains. Switch version two, but it can't dock- they're hoping to dip in to the handheld market again.
Honestly, the Assassin's Creed comparison is just the nail in the coffin of the whole argument. If they could do it, the Pokemon Company should be able to do it too.
SzegediXY yeah it just means they don’t want to. Most games on Switch and PS4 in the AAA category cost about 50-70 million usually to make and the really big stuff goes to 100 million hence why square can claim selling 10 million of a game is disappointing and at a lose. Meanwhile Pokémon, a series that regularly sells 12 million or more copies and spends around 20 million a game. Even if swsh double that it’s low balling
@@masteroflag Yeah. I think Pokémon has very clearly been meddled with by upper management from TPC/GF. I'm hoping that the new team they were training will do things better. but what I really hope is that Nintendo puts some pressure onto TPC so that they start making games that are the quality we deserve.
mondelsson at the same time I can’t blame Nintendo if they actually never do that. If pokemon swsh were delayed for example this year would be seen as pretty barren since no one cares about Daemon x Machina which would have been a fine fill in title for that period if it were hype. Pokémon coming nearly every year means they can let other series cook and still make bank. SzegediXY you would yes. But remember how Arlo and the average gamer who usually looks only at the big titles will see it? For them The first half of the year was Yoshi and LABO VR with Mario maker 2 being seen as the second half of the year. So it was a toy that most don’t want, a pretty good Yoshi game but not the best, the big 2D Mario game, fire emblem, And Luigi’s mansion3. And 3 of those games are in the back half of the year. And trust me I made the same argument about how last year was fantastic for switch but Arlo found it disappointing
For me, if they had to cut off Pokémon for animations, then I would like solid animations. Edit: this game would be my first mainline Pokémon game so I probably wouldn’t know how the other games had their animations but from what I’ve seen of sword and shield, all the Pokémon look dead. I mean the tailwhip animation in that one dog pokemon by got revealed is a face plant. To think there is no national Dex AND the animations of all the Pokémon look awful really brings down the quality of the game. It’s too bad, was hoping this game would be like the Mario Odyssey or Breath of the Wild of the Pokémon franchise.
@@pringledaprangle7480 They are. The problem is that just creates an even sharper contrast between those lovely animations and charizard's ability to breath fire from an area above its head. Game Freak clearly have the talent to make good quality animations, they just don't use it in favour of porting old stuff.
After completing Pokémon sword, I have come to my conclusion. It’s a fine game. Not good, not great, just fine. However, definitely not worth the 60 dollars in my eyes.

While not made by Nintendo, what’s affecting some people, even me, is just how amazing Colosseum and Gale of Darkness were. They, and to a degree Battle Revolution, were just spectacular games on home consoles. Just wowed me and, perhaps unfortunately, set a bar for home console Pokémon games.
@@justice8718 When people compare Sword/Shield to the old console games I don't think they're talking about the storyline or the campaign or anything like that - I think they're talking about the battle systems in those games and the amount of effort and polish that went into the animations and visuals. Each and every Pokemon is represented with love and expression in those games including their intro and idle animations, the various attack animations (Pokemon actually KICK when they use a kick move!), damage, knockback, and even faint animations. If you compare that to footage of Sword/Shield's battle system, you'll see that Gen 8 looks no different than Gens 6 or 7 from the 3DS. The Pokemon stand there motionless while idle, they barely flinch when hit by an attack, their fainting animations are as barebones as possible, and a good portion of the early-game move animations (like the infamous Double Kick) are so lazy they can be recreated with a single mouse-drag in most animation software. There's just no comparison.
But Arian, battle animations used to be the only way the Pokémon expressed themselves or even move. Now, they have walk animations, interact with you in the over world, and they even have a goddamn petting mini game. If you want them to be better, that’s fine, but don’t act like Gamefreak completely overlooked the Pokémon.
@@Ageman20XX Can the newer games' idle animations even be called "animations" anymore? The Pokémon just stand/float there and bob up and down and occasionally move a bit, and some flying Pokémon don't even flap their wings, they just glide in place. The only exception I can think of is Ludicolo.

You're totally right, though knowing Nintendo, it would actually end up being Pokemon Copy 2 and Paste 2, or Ultra Copy and Ultra Paste. (Seriously, on a side note, does that annoy the hell out of anyone else? Like, you had the perfect opportunity for Pokemon Grey, Z and Twilight, and they completely squandered it, for some reason).
@@casualis1991 Oh yeah. I agree completely. I wasn't actually even talking about actual content I was referring to (and admittedly heavily nitpicking) the titles alone. However, I am still of the belief that Pokemon Black and White 2 should have been one game (grey), but it should have maintained all of the same content. I don't think Nintendo needed to split the black and white remake into two MORE games just to maximize profit. I think the story and mechanics of black and white 2 would have still worked great as a single entry.
Pokémon has turned into a child’s animal collectors game being sold as a AAA game when an indie developer could do wayy better with the same resources.

Now with: National Dex that was possible to add in Sword & Shield, but by removing it, you’ll think we worked hard to create Ultra Sword/Ultra Shield and will incentivize you to buy them.
Exactly! Megas were cool, though, and everybody loved them, but Z-Moves were just boring and unnecessary and Dynamax/Gigantamax also don't need to exist. Megas actually changed up the game in a good way without making certain moves or Pokémon completely overpowered for no reason (most of the time). I don't get why GameFreak isn't giving them attention anymore. They were shoved to postgame in SM/USUM and aren't even going to be put in future Pokémon games.
Number 27 the issue with Megas were they were a bit OP. At least most times you could only counter a Mega with another Mega and a big thing with game freak is making each generation feel different somehow which is why we have this weird for lack of a better idea nerfing of megas here. So Gen 8 will be the only ones with Dynamax, Gen 7 the only one with Z moves, Gen 6 the only ones with megas, and apparently Gen 5 the only ones with rotation and triple battles that don’t crash your system or drop the frame rate. Pokémon has needed a hard reboot for some time to look better and change up the gameplay, but it isn’t gonna happen. People would be even more mad if Game freak had come out saying. “Btw except Pikachu and Evee no older Pokémon will be in these games unless they have galar forms and this includes Pikachu and evee’s lines so have Galorian Pichu as quick look. there are 220 Pokémon period total with legendary and mythicals as dlc later and no way to bring in old Pokémon. Also while there are new moves 90% of the old moves have been removed for balance, no gimmicks, but an open word game with a very minor plot, for the villain plot and half the TM please buy the 20 dollar expansion pass and it will be out summer 2020. Bye.”
TheMegaultrachicken the games do need it cause like yugioh it’s got bad power creep down to you actually have tiers within tiers of what Pokémon to use online based on the rules and added content with each game. And a hard reboot of the games would fit with a reboot for the anime as well. There’s a good reason Ash never wins a league. Because even though it doesn’t even make him a Pokémon master to be a champion, becoming one would mean exactly what it does in the games, he’s stuck in that region for at least another 20-30 episodes while people try to take his title or he takes it back from someone who beats him till he just lets someone keep it. This way solves two issues, it means kids who get into each series as their first learn that same lesson about someone is always better, and it allows for proper build up to a finale and an excuse to move on to the next region without giving some weird reason like Pikachu getting sick
Couldn't agree with ya more, Arlo. As a Pokemon fan since 1998, I'm disappointed Pokemon isn't treated with the same reverence by Game Freak/TPCi as Nintendo's other AAA franchises.
I'd rather be a Metroid fan with good games that come out rarely, than a fan of a series that pumps out bad games every 2 years. This is happening to many games unfortunately. Hopefully, Pokemon doesn't dip in quality.
I think Pokémon goal for the franchise is to bring more fans and kids in to the series than keeping the older fans. That’s why Megas Z- moves and Dynamaxing exists. And why Dex thing also happening.
Imagine getting Pokemon Home and you transfer every Pokemon there. Every Pokemon you collected over the years, unable to transfer them back to ORAS/YX/USUM, but you also can't transfer them to Sword Shield. Also catching Pokemon in Pokemon Go and transferring them over to Home and you can't use some of them. Gud quality service
There will never be a high quality pokemon game at a botw standard. The future of pokemon is on cheap smartphone games that make way more more than any mainline would ever do. There have been 5 pokemon smartphone games since GO, 0 spin offs and 3 mainlines.

The Switch version of Doom 2016 looks surprisingly good, all things considered.

When they released Ultra Sun & Moon, which was virtually the same game as before, I said “Okay, Game Freak is building up money and time to really invest in the next generation console Pokémon game.”
When they released Let’s Go: Pikachu and Eevee, which was admittedly underwhelming, I said “Okay, Game Freak is just dipping their toe in the water. Once the next generation hits, it’s gonna take the world by storm.”
And after all that waiting, I get a game with extremely underwhelming graphics and doesn’t even contain all the Pokémon. From the highest-grossing media franchise of all time.

Some of the businesses of the Pokémon company are extremely shady. Specifically, enhanced versions. I've hated them ever since I first got into Pokémon. I felt lied to as I thought Sun and Moon were more exciting experiences thanks to the better plot. I sort of understood Crystal, Emerald and Platinum, after all, you couldn't update those games via the Internet. But in an age of updates and DLC this whole thing is a bit off. Dragon Quest XI, Digimon Cyber Sleuth, Yokai Watch 4 (And Shin Megami Tensi V but who knows when....)
The case of Yokai Watch is even more salt in the wound for Pokémon. Because Yokai Watch is about to die in Japan. Not all Yokais are there, but the Devs actually promised to increase the Yokai count with updates. See how easy it was to avoid all this sh*tstorm?

I wanted to argue for your first point how Pokemon 1 & 2 were efficient in demonstrating value. As archaic and buggy as the early titles were, most of us bear fond memories of them because of the precedent that was set.
Nowadays, they're having trouble indicating what makes pokemon relevant. This evidenced by so called Dynamaxing and things like Koffing with a top hat. This is not good because games are demanding a higher price.
They could get one over on teens (as they have for some time) with the handheld versions. Not so much for adults who control the home console market. The Pokemon stand there motionless while idle, they barely flinch when hit by an attack, their fainting animations are as barebones as possible, and a good portion of the early-game move animations (like the infamous Double Kick) are so lazy they can be recreated with a single mouse-drag in most animation software. but you proved me wrong glad to see some honesty from this community
>Maybe in a few years we'll get a game that's twice as awesome as Pokemon Sword and Shield
Now introducing Ultra Sword and Ultra Shield, just in time for Christmas 2024!
Correction: Christmas 2020.
@@Aego384 Correction: Christmas 2019
Now with: National Dex that was possible to add in Sword & Shield, but by removing it, you’ll think we worked hard to create Ultra Sword/Ultra Shield and will incentivize you to buy them.
@@materialboi1992 You'd think you can make us forget this whole ruckus you caused with enhanced versions?!
Because you can! SOLD!
They need to stop with the bs gimmicks. No one cares about gigantamaxing
Bye.”
Move over Megas...
Dynamax is here for Domination!
@@masteroflag pokemon anime needs a hard reboot. Give us ash who will win the league. Games don't need it.
And as a pokemon fan since 2016, I agree with you
@@maggieent3215 since 2003(ish, my first game was ruby as a hand-me-down but I don't remember exactly when I got it) I agree with you
I'd rather be a Metroid fan with good games that come out rarely, than a fan of a series that pumps out bad games every 2 years. This is happening to many games unfortunately. Hopefully, Pokemon doesn't dip in quality.
They used to, but Gamefreak seems to be tired of making Pokemon games now, which sucks for us fans
Joke about the National Dex all you want, but this game's Ocarina of Time trees are a nice callbac-
Wait...
Bruh moment
There will never be a high quality pokemon game at a botw standard. The future of pokemon is on cheap smartphone games that make way more more than any mainline would ever do.
There have been 5 pokemon smartphone games since GO, 0 spin offs and 3 mainlines.

God, can you imagine if the Pokemon Company gave a budget and the series to a developer like Nintendo or Retro Studios to make?

Are you kidding? It’s called ‘nintendo polish’ for a reason. They’re well known for making everything they do look and play to the absolute best of the hardwares ability.
