In this video, I'll be demonstrating watercolour techniques which include;
* Brusho pigment powder,
* Watered down bleach
* White gouache.
* Salt

I use all four of the materials above (Brusho, Bleach, Gouache & Salt) to enhance my watercolour work, and I love the free-flowing unpredictability of it. It keeps thing loose and intuitive.
I can't believe I'm using pink AGAIN though! haha I've gotta break open another colour soon!
The thing is, when I was a kid, I absolutely hated pink. I was brought up with 3 brothers and 3 male cousins, so I associated pink with being girly (of course it's not, it's just a colour and open for any person to wear and fall in love with) but back in the 70s, raised in a male dominated household and close family, I chose to reject it completely, as I wanted to be just like 'the boys'. I remember distinctly some bright pink over-all type shorts.... (*facepalm)
Well, I'm certainly making it up for it now!! It wasn't until my good friend and artist Amanda Blunden Art pointed out to me that most of my work contained pink and green, that I became aware of it!
It doesn't help that Daniel Smith makes THE most glorious colour in the form of Quinacridone Lilac (really, a pinky colour)... what's a gal to do?!!
Anyhoo, I promise that I shall definitely try to kick my pink habit, and embrace all of my fave colours again! Soon!
