No problem, don't make mower belts harder than they need to be!

With my 44 inch theres not enough belt to grab to pull on that tensioner and it doesnt seem to move much even if i can find a way to push/pull on it. Mine has a spring that one end connects to a bolt and it says loosen the nut some. But It must've been tightened by a gorilla and its now rounded. My goal is to try to remove that spring from the one post similar to how yours is. Its so frustrating seeing how easy it is on this one.

Double check your belt routing and try a big pair of pliers with a really aggressive jaw on the rounded nut. Any stubborn tensioners/fasteners give a shot of high quality penentrating oil. Seafoam deep creep is my preference.
All mowers route belts differently, some brands and models within the same brand are easier/harder to work with.

@@Super-Dave-Outdoors I've got a spring puller tool coming in the mail today. I really think its gonna be easier. But I might try that if not. My other idea was to just cut the old belt off and worry about it then after. I've also seen other put a nylon strap ratchet on the spring to pull it back on. We'll see. I've got options. It'll get done. Just not easily lol.

If you have a grinder and some old flat bar or cheap pry bars you can grind a notch in the metal and use the notch to catch the spring.
A loop of strong wire around some sort of handle works well too.
