    Hi Sweet Mary!! Looks delish!! 😋❤ I ..just dry canned some of those bread cubes for my prepper shelf😬 Mom & .....my two sisters and I will be having Thanksgiving at Cracker Barrel this year and a movie. All of our guys will be deer hunting in Doss, TX near Fredericksburg. Hope you're staying warm! Be Blessed! ❤, Shanna

      Hi Shanna, WOW - I am so impressed that you are dry canning!! I love your prepper heart!! Cracker Barrel is SO delicious - whenever my husband and I pass one it is hard for us to resist stopping in!! Enjoy!! I am sure it will be delicious. Wow - yes I know Doss. Hope their hunting trip goes well. Oh heavens - it is so cold. I feel like I am back East!! LOL!! Thanks so much for being here!! Love, Mary

      @@MarysNest Awww Thank you Mary!!! I thoroughly am enjoying prepping. It's so fun among many other hobbies I enjoy. We love Doss! Our family has been on the lease 30+years. My Dad runs the lease and the owner of the land is Sammy & Raynette Geistweidt. They're wonderful people and long time friends. Dad lost his right leg above knee this May 😢 after fishing, getting a cut on his leg contracting flesh eating bacteria. He is still in therapy learning to walk on his prosthetic. He wasn't sure he would go to the lease this year, but his 3 son in laws were gonna make sure he was going. My sweet hubby had a ramp built and drove up to the lease and installed it 2 weeks ago. We are blessed and grateful Dad is still with us and continuing to do what he loves. God is good!!😊😘❤🙏

      @@MarysNest I'm new to your channel and I'm enjoying your videos very much. I have already saved quite a few. I have a question about what you said that you cook your dressing the day before and wrap it tight so you can just heat it up the next day. Do you leave it in your cast iron pan? I just have never heard of anyone putting their cast iron in the refrigerator. If you do, do you take it out ahead of time to get to room temperature before putting it in the oven?💜

      @@MarysNest ... Is that little egg whisk small enough to fit into a regular mouth 12 oz canning jar? I was thinking about buying a "frother" electronic whisk, but, I hesitated because I don't want to whip air into my mom's liquids. When I am adding powdered greens and herbs to her liquids, I need something with a little more "oomph" than a spoon, but, could never find a whisk small enough. This might be my ticket!

    • @MarysNest
      @MarysNest  6 лет назад +1

      Kathleen Zimmerman - Definitely...it is very small...maybe about an inch wide. I love the thing. It works so great...and a lot better than a fork. You will love it!! ❤️😘❤️

I'll let you know when I'm ready to push the *buy now* button. ;) You KNOW it's not going to taste the same if I make it in glass or even stainless steel, right? LOL!!!

    to mak bread crumbs just lay out slices of bread to go stale for 24 hrs and then crumble them into bite sized squares?....can they be stored at this point in a container? for how long ?

    • @MarysNest
      @MarysNest  5 лет назад +2

      Hi Teresa, Great questions!! Yes, they can be stored in a container. You can put them in any type of air-tight bag or container and will store well at room temperature for three days. And for a few more days than that if put in the fridge. And if you decide to freeze them, they will last several weeks. Another option for longer term storage is to seal them in a mylar bag with an oxygen absorber and use a Foodsaver type machine to extract all the air from the bag. Stored this way, they should stay fresh for 8-10 months. Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions. I am so happy to help! Love, Mary
