    This truck is hands down a really nice jump up from last gen but in all honesty the last gen for zr2 is just as capable as this and can be had for 20k less too so people really think about your purchase and what your going to do with it 90 percent of the time don’t make a decision based on impulse because like I said the last gen is more than enough to go in the trails just like this gen here!!

    Really good point about 7 days a week. I did something silly with my latest purchase and got a hot hatch. I thought It could be my daily driver and we would use the SUV for longer trips, light back roads. But it didn’t take long to get to the reality that a lot of city streets are just as rough and bumpy as back roads. This week I drove in San Diego, LA and Edmonton, and in every case, the best vehicle for a comfortable ride around town would be something like the Canyon, Ranger, Taco. A four dour mid sized truck is quite possibly the real do it all daily driver everybody needs. Now we just need to get 35 mpg :)

    My last two trucks were Ford raptor’s… Just got my AT4X a couple weeks ago. Couldn’t love it more for a daily driver. Drove up to the lake and back home the other night, 70 miles average 24MPG. Averaging around 20 around town. Way more efficient than my Ford raptor was in the same situation. It average 15-16mpg

    • @jeffk464
      @jeffk464 9 месяцев назад +1

      I like hearing stories about mpg like this. What the truck is rated at isn't that great. I would definitely get the 33" AT4X over the AEV for this reason. Eventually there will be enough Tacoma's on the market that GM is going to have to bend on pricing a bit. I'm not buying until all the new mid-size trucks have hit volume production.

      Having worked more than 30 minutes to get the fuel door opened after driving through freezing puddles and snow, I was glad I didn't have to free up an under bed spare tire with about 2 inches of ice and mud covering the underside of the truck. Even if the spare had fit between the frame rails, its size (width) would have greatly reduced the departure angles. Their solution may not be ideal and I would have preferred it being mounted to the bed side behind the driver but its still better than under the bed.
