I keep seeing people complain about Jeremy's scoring. But he's the Taskmaster. Ya'll are missing the point. It's a goofy show for entertainment. They're all having fun, and so am I ❤
You know when you write comments you don't have to sound like a "frittata"? You can just use proper English and proper punctuation. The more you know!🌈 ⭐
To the tea and milk thing: in victorian times, many teacups were made of cheaper materials that couldnt withstand fast changes in temperature. So people put the milk in first to avoid the cup breaking. This is evidently no longer the case but explains why at some point it was a logical thing to do
I love how New Zealand is like the smallest world ever. The odds of sharing mutual acquaintances is so high. "I know your landlord, he was my English teacher!" 😅
It would've been a mistake to disqualify him. If anything, the others are at fault for fully blowing up the ballons. They could've even popped the balloons - the task said "must be blown up". An exploded balloon is a blown up balloon.
The scoring being totally at the whim of the Taskmaster and sometimes related to logic but sometimes not is pretty much a staple of the show from the original.
@nymaz except Greg is actually funny and works to allow the other comedians to play off of him. And his scoring may be 'arbitrary' but he still puts genuine thought into it. That and decent editing is what makes the Studio sections good. Jeremy has none of that. His scoring is boring. He is boring. The Studio sections are boring. NZ already has a very small pool of comedians to choose from to begin with but having Jeremy as a host simply compounds the issue.
@Salted_Fysh I disagree. I think that the reason it works is that he doesn't really try to justify it, so it's so opaquely arbitrary there's nothing to really argue. It's a very different style, but like Paul Williams is a very different style of awkward than Alex Horne, comparing them is really a dis service, and I think that they have landed on a style that does work. If it was just a cloned version, like when some of the European tm did the same tasks with the same scripted outcome, it was not good
@@NymazWell here's someone who has no clue what they're talking about! Lmfao! The UK version / Greg Davies does not fit that ridiculous description at all. 😂🤦
@@Salted_Fysh so you type all that hatred yet I'm left wondering why you even came here in the first place if you're just going to shit on it. Maybe spend your time watching stuff you actually want to watch?
That's why for TNZ I only follow the silly shenanigans and don't bother getting invested in the score, because I know whoever wins at the end got there by pure chance
Would be better if he was actually funny. Which he isn't. So... Yeah. Given that the editing for the NZ shows is also pretty weird, the Studio sections are just incredibly dry and I genuinely find myself asking every single season whether I should actually watch or whether my time would be used better elsewhere.
New to the show, eh? If you had been watching since the beginning then you'd realize that his scoring in this season is better than it's ever been before. 😂😂🤦
Okay this is a good one, everyone is on their own planet but it works so well. Dai should host some sort of comedic meditation class, I’d fly to NZ for that 😂
I truly did not expect to enjoy TMNZ as much as I am 😂 Paul’s twist on assistant and truly everyone in this season and the other two made me literally laugh out loud so much!!!
I thought I've cracked the code with Jeremy's scoring being a combination of the task and what's funny but this episode there were multiple things I could not understand. The balloon task said the balloons needed to be inflated and as much as I love Ray that simply wasn't the case so I think he should have gotten one point. And the wedding task? Melanie's marriage to her own hand was both in the spirit of the task as well as very creative and funny so giving her one point seemed ridiculous. This just doesn't make any sense.
as far as we know there wasn't a pump to blow up the balloons, and as someone who also can't blow up balloons that seems a bit unfair, but at least Ray balloons counted so its fine
I was convinced Dai would get 1 for the prize task. Has nothing to do with home. And then obviously he wins the task because Jeremy is the worst decider of points in any version.
@ This one almost never use the '1 2 3 4 5' rating score and pointsvalues he gives seems improvised on the spur of the moment. It is painful to watch. Survive watching it, and Jeremy looks like a fair and impartial Taskmaster. :D
You can't tell me that superior Tom is in any way shape or form bad as a Taskmaster. While he's different from Greg and goes less with the mean guy persona he's still doing a great job. I'm not a fan of Jeremy as the Taskmaster for both how he reacts and how he scores. And I really like Rose but I don't think she suits the role of Taskmaster that well (even though it's "just" for the junior format).
The fact that Ray's landlord is Jeremy's teacher is another proof that everyone in NZ is related to everyone
One of the first things Jeremy ever said in his capacity as Taskmaster.
How does their forms of employment make them related?

Jeremy: I didn't recognize at first that was even you Ray
Also Jeremy: 2 Points
He was completely unrecognizable
Yeah, because he also couldn't recognize who Ray said he was going to present himself as.

what is it with TM contestants and having problems blowing up balloons?
why would jam go in the fridge? it's a preserve.
I've always been taught in the US to put it in the fridge after it's been opened.
It's only preserved while it's air sealed and until it's opened the first time and exposed to outside contaminants
