Muslims are just continuing what all the previous Prophets and Messengers in the scriptures did by submitting to Allah only.

Similarities between the Torah and Quran are simply because both books are from the one and only true unseen God. The Quran clarifies the Torah, and was revealed because of those changes, alterations and omissions that were made in the Torah. Dear brothers and sisters, Muslims do not dislike you and neither does the Quran speak ill specifically of Jews. It speaks ill of anyone whom had erred in the ways of God with many examples of other civilizations including lut a Muslim prophet himself was criticised. The Quran states of the jews as well as christians who practice true monotheism and do pious deeds will enter paradise. Do not listen to anyone else except the direct source in any matter if you truly desire to be 100% sure. The Quran says the above good things about the jews...you will see the Quran is a book of peace and does not dislike any particular group but likes any being that worships the one and only true unseen God Who bares no offspring and is nobody's offspring, Who has no beginning and no end, Who is all mighty and eternal, the beneficent the merciful and the owner of the day of judgement. Do not listen to third parties or propagandists regardless of who they are or title they hold...if you want to know the truth, then just read the Quran in full context and completion, and the Quran is readily available for all to read.

Jews rejected 2 important Prophets (Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them), and they rejected Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) mainly because of his race. I'm a Muslim and I had no idea we prayed similar. This is great! When the Islamic prayer was first revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings upon) in the 7 th heaven during his Night Journey it was Prophet Musa/ Moses (peace and blessings upon him) that helped by instructing Prophet Muhammad to ask Allah to reduce the number of daily prayers from 50 times a day down to 5 times a day.

@@onesufi The debate with Judaism vs Islam doesn't arise from personalised/tribalised "Gods"; both of Islam's and Judaism's mainstream sects completely agree upon basically the same concept of an absolutely singular, omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent Creator(The odd one out would be Christianity in this context) That concept is Elohim in Hebrew, Honorific-plural form of Eloh(God) and Allah in Arabic; Ungenderisable and unpluralisible form of al-Ilah(The God, but since it is in non-special and masculine form, this is not used in Islam so to avoid attribuing a gender or countability to The God)
The issue arises from both religions accusing of each other with corruption. From an objective angle I can fairly say that Islam can legitly be considered as a puritanist or reactionary(all inclusive) movement or even a sect of "corrupted"* Judaism. We have our own book from the same source that you had your book from, we had ours at a later time, in a different place, revealed to a different group of people. The religion was so similar to the Jews because it is the religion of Ibrahim (pbuh). You are the descendants of Isaac, we are the descendants of Ismael. We have these similarities because it comes from the same God, His words and Message is the same through all the divine revelations.
Islam means one who submits themselves to the will of God. Ibrahim, ishmael, Isaac were Muslims as they submitted themselves to God (this is what we believe).
We are not a sect of Judaism, but we are the last and final Abrahamic religion following the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who is the Seal on prophethood. There are no more after him, and this last revelation is the final scripture sent by the One God for all of mankind and jinnkind.

@@muslim_first Jews do not say otherwise - but they changed the way they prayed because in the pre Islamic era most Arabs used to worship their idols that way. They copies the way the Jews used to pray. They used to bow down on stones to pray to their idols. In Judaism, you are commanded to distance and differentiate oneself from idol worshipers and they did not want other Jews to think that they were worshiping the stones etc. Therefore they changed the way they pray from Biblical times. The biblical characters and prophets also used to offer up animal sacrifices too as part of their prayer. They do not do this as well. Why do not Muslims do this - as that is how Moses, Abraham and Isaac prayed?

Also when a baby is born. aqeeqah is the Islamic tradition of the sacrifice of an animal on the occasion of a child's birth. As for pre-islamic arabia, we Muslims know that worshiping idols was wrong however Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) changed all of Arabia and taught pure Monotheism. Islam is the only Pure Monotheism Religion today (Belief in worship of only One God who has no partners) that is open to Gentiles and all of humanity. I'm not ethnically Arab, however I am Muslim. After centuries went by, Arabs introduced Polytheism and Paganism in Arabia. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) abolished polytheism and paganism and taught the original Pure Monotheism that Prophet Ibrahim taught. That is why you see very much similarities in prayer.

I would like to comment on the said things, in this important video.
Muhammad (PBUH) was not the "Founder of Islam" but He carried on, corrected and strengthen the same traditions of Abrahims' ( PBUH) Religion ( as it was started from Adam (AS)) , which Quran names it as Islam . He did three very basics and important things to the continues religious traditions:
1. if he (PBUM) found something missing in such traditions , he added back
2. if he found something exaggerated , he removed that.
3. if , there were any addition required he (PBUH) added
and all of this happened , with the permission and guidance of Almighty ( one True God ). Quran is conversation of Almighty to people of that particular community through his Final Messenger ( not the "Fist and last" but the last of chain in Prophet-hood ). Adam ( AS) was the first Prophet of this religion. When one reads the Quran he can find out, what exactly happened there, at that particular time ( during last 23 years in the Life of Muhammad (PBUH)).
Quran contains :
The Hikmah (believes and inner purification)
and The Law ( to live life within the community and how to do things )
Both areas of Qruan are for the real purpose:
1. living life here in this temporary world, according to Commandment of Al-might God
2. and to prove us worthy for reward , acceptance and fulfillment of promise, we already made before our this current existence. The Hikmah and The law can be found out in all such details there in Quran.
If Quranic information were not copied then why there are things similar to Bible?????
Simple answer , Quran is the Last Text from Allah not the first , there were few other religious text revealed as well. Those texts were containing the same information and messages intially.
Nothing was copied from the any other religious scripture ( not from old or new testaments), because Islam was not just a new religion, it was introduced in a continuity of one true religion which was given to Prophets ( started form Adam (PBUH) and there were many things which were ( according to Muslims) corrupted in Old religious books in terms of:
1. Faith ( like deviating from the real faith of Abrahim (PBUH) and other prophet)
2. Worships and rituals ( again Jews , infidels and Christians ( to Muslim) created many things)
Christians one step ahead of Jews they just removed the whole Law as well.
3. Religious Law were not exactly left as it was given to Prophets.
4. There are false information and accusations on Prophets and other important personalities, by telling such great incidences again in Quran , 4 objectives were achieved:
1. removal of accusation
2. Correcting the accounts
3, telling what exactly they had in their believe.
4. Increasing the faith and believe of companions and other who were in future and till end to The DAY.
it is obvious , if someone is correcting and purifying something , most certainly he is not going to break or destroy it, but will do the same like :
1. remove the bad things,
2. add back the required thing
3.and will add new things to improve and make sure no more future further damage.
These are reasons, we sometimes find similarities when its come to rituals , believes etc.
