    Some people see my pedalboard and ask me why half of it is only delay and reverb pedals.
    They see the Strymon Timeline and Strymon Big Sky and wonder why I would ever need extra delay and reverb pedals on my board.
    In this video, I explain the 3 main reasons why I have multiple delay and reverb pedals on my board.
    Thanks for watching!

    Maybe a lot of people don't know (or forget) but Neunaber pedals are programmable pedals (in fact one pedal is four or five i don't remeber exactly), "Immerse" can turn into a "WET" Reverb pedal for example: simply connect the pedal with usb cable on your PC and with a very simple operation you can change the settings and tranform into another amazing Neunaber pedal

    • @AntoineMichaudGuitar
      @AntoineMichaudGuitar  4 года назад +2

      Not really anymore, unless you have older pedals. A few years ago, all their pedals were programmable by USB, it's true. But now most of them are not, because they want their ''Expanse'' pedal to do that only (which is their programmable pedal) to download any effect you want in the pedal. All their new pedals like the Immerse, Neuron, Inspire don't have this function anymore. It wouldn't make sense because they are multi-effects pedal. For example, the Immerse MkII already has the Wet preset, Echo from the Echelon, the Shimmer from the Seraphim, the Detune from the Inspire, etc... so it wouldn't make sense to download a new pedal and lose functionnalities! But if you have an old WET Reverb, yes, totally!

    @shaft9000 Год назад

    Ahh yes :) you're at the stage where the pursuit can get rather silly, because imho
    either....
    a) you're using a lot of space on the pedalboard to squeeze "hi fi" reverb through guitar speakers - speakers that severely attenuate or ignore altogether all of those fancy expensive high freqs beyond 7-8 kHz. A pursuit of that "final x%" that bears rapidly diminishing returns here.
    ....or it may be that often
    b) you're going into a DAW for reverb(s). A single modern multi-core DAW can deliver oodles more than 10 of the best reverb pedals put together can. (and I'm a vintage synth/gear head with $100+K invested in hardware already; I stay away from DAWs until I must!). Some of the _free stock reverbs in some DAWs_ can beat the snot out of _any_ of the pedals(!). ReaVerb can, and is stock in Reaper AND a free VST to use with other DAWs.
    c) one of each type of pedal (carefully selected to be complementary) can cover 90-95% of whatever anyone but the freakiest of freaks could want. Or better still imho, for more routing flexibility and a sound better suited specifically for _playing through guitar amp speakers,
    _TWO delay pedals - one analog, one digital - can do even better. Delays impact how you play dynamically much more than reverb, so often you can hold off on any reverb for post/FoH. Add in a genuine tape echo machine, and you'll rarely be wanting for much more of anything in-studio. Portability is another matter, and few but the most high-roller acts do very well at translating their entire studio sound to every venue.
    ...in the end, it's a _guitar_ so why load up your rig when numerous polyphonic hardware synths can do those sounds and much more for $100+, or for free itb?
