  • Top 5 Reasons NOT to Live in Fishers Indiana... yes, there are reasons you might not want to live there. Fishers, Indiana has been a highly rated place to live not only in the Indianapolis Metro, but across the country. Fishers, Indiana has been voted the #1 place to live in the entire country by Money Magazine in 2017. But, like many ratings, it does have a level of subjectivity. Fishers, Indiana is a fabulous place to live and raise a family but it might not be for everyone. Fishers, Indiana is an Indianapolis suburb but is larger that what most people think. Fishers is a city and has near 100,000 people. The size could be reason enough for some not to move there. In this video we will cover some of the reasons why you might not want to move to this Indianapolis suburb.

    I would love to know more about weather in Fishers! What’s the snow season like? I’m coming from So Cal and falling in love with Fishers, but not interested in super snowy area… curious to know what the different seasons are like!

      The winter is certainly cold but we only get a little over 20 inches of snow per year on average. We don't get as much as what people think. Most of the winter the ground isn't covered with snow.

    Hi, great video. Was wondering if you would recommend Fishers for a single 40 yo, straight guy with no kids. Going out and staying home is about 50/50, and I've lived in NYC and Los Angeles (currently living in southern California) so I want somewhere clean and Fishers sounds appealing in that sense. Or does downtown Indianapolis sound like a better option?

    • @LivingInIndianapolis
      @LivingInIndianapolis  2 года назад +1

      Hey! Fishers might be a bit tame if you go out frequently. There are some places to go but you won't have the variety you would find downtown. If I were in your shoes I would certainly explore Mass Ave. That's my favorite area of the city. Broad Ripple would be on my radar too.

      If you are a woman, politicians decide what you can do with your body- not you or doctors. That’s a major catch! TOO conservative there for many.

    I thought Fishers was smaller than 90K, or the same as Greenwood, under 50,000!?, wow!. Riding through several times, and, I gave guitar lessons and rock music''' lessons to residents in the far past. I've noticed the traffic isn't as bad as Carmel's traffic! I bet Carmel is Indiana's richest city, Fishers 2nd! Dude, I'll refer people to your real estate knowledge of Indiana if anyone asks me!!

    • @LivingInIndianapolis
      @LivingInIndianapolis  3 года назад

      Hi! Fishers is certainly more populated than Greenwood. It's just grown so fast over the past 20 years. I agree that the traffic isn't that bad. And really, Carmel's isn't either. Both have had some serious infrastructure improvements to help! Thanks for watching!

    Know if you move to Hamilton County away from family and have domestic abuse issues arise that there are No woman’s shelters in the entire county and that if you stay in a hotel with your child(children) awaiting a court hearing you may have “living out of a hotel” a documented reason as to why your custody was removed.

    • @lorieshelman1061
      @lorieshelman1061 3 года назад

      @@chloerelf5180 no dear it’s not a women’s shelter. It’s a halfway house with woman on one floor and men on another and children are not allowed. It also has a bad reputation that’s common knowledge amongst the locals. The house itself is very creepy and haunted as hell.

    Fishers is nice… clean.. however going completely “woke” … HSE schools use to have such a good reputation… now when we say we live in fishers… first thing said is “wow the school system really is far left liberal.” Glad we don’t have kids in the schools here.

    • @veronicae5257
      @veronicae5257 2 года назад

      Can you expand on the "wokeness"? We are in NJ and trying to run away from some of the madness.

    • @kellykellssz

      Most of the public schools in the US is far left liberal and it started a while ago. I live in NYC and I’m a teacher in a public school and the curriculum and the things that were hung on the walls were a big annoying/disgusting. I applied for a charter school that a was more conservative because I was uncomfortable speaking with other people’s children about certain things if it wasn’t the learning basics like math, English, reading etc. I totally understand what you mean.
