I just found you.Your smile makes my heart ❤️ happy.I love your kind words and your loveliness . It is like being with family. God bless you and all here❤ ✝️ 🙏.
I look forward to waking up everyday, thanking God for his Grace and mercy. And just whatever comes up. Today I helped my husband cut and load up some firewood, then I ran to Walmart with my sister-in-law for a little grocery shopping. Tomorrow I’m having lunch with my granddaughter who is 24, and happens to be off work on Fridays, so we’re going to enjoy some time together and catch up on her life.
Thanks for the crochet tutorial. I crochet but never made a scrunchie. I’m working on a temperature blanket currently, and during Christmas I made a few ear warmers.
I look forward to days when the snow has melted enough that it's safe for my dog Frostina and I to get out for a walk. These days, the sidewalks are covered in snow and ice. And it's too cold for it to melt. In 2023 I fell three times while walking my dog. Luckily, the only thing that I hurt, was my pride.
For me, having a job and being busy was rewarding and it has taken time to learn to enjoy retirement. Have lots of interests to keep you active and bring joy to your life when you retire is my advice.
I just found your channel and enjoyed watching! I’m newly retired (September) and have been busy up till now. I’m currently recovering from a minor surgery so still can’t do a lot! I do have to say I’m struggling a little with having to go slow! I’m usually so busy I don’t have time to just sit! This will be a big learning experience for me this year!
Thank you for your comment. Slowing down was a process for me too. That’s why I call this a journey through retirement. At 80, I’m just becoming more comfortable with a slower pace. Please stay tuned and let me know your recovery progress and what brings joy to you.
I just found your channel and I am enjoying watching your journey. I have been retired for a good while, but my husband is newly retired. So we are still finding out how that is going to work it's self out. I was curious if Maizie is a Jack Russell? She is so cute! I just subscribed and am looking forward to your videos.
@@korndogsmom Thank you for stopping by and joining our journey. I had a hard time learning to slow down after retirement. It truly is a journey and constantly changing. I got Maizie from a rescue shelter 5 months ago and she is 4 years old. They said she is chihuahua/pug. I think her face looks a lot like a boxer. She only barks when someone comes on my yard, doesn’t dig, but sniffs the ground and loves to chase squirrels, and loves to meet people and children. A real sweetheart and loyal to me.
I loved your heart idea. Im 65 and live in ohio. I spend a lot of time sewing. Your channel is a breath if fresh air. Thank you.
I just found your channel and it is so refreshing ❤ I love your voice and the Bible verses. Be blessed!
You, my friend, are a very busy lady. That’s fantastic.

You are so sweet! Your smile is great & definitely makes my day🥰
Aw, thank you! 🥰
This is where you get your planning gene from 😅
I’m glad you got that gene 👍😍

Your scrunchie is so cute! The potato soup & cornbread looks amazing. Ive been wanting some lately, ill have to make it soon😍
Cornbread from scratch is so easy and good. Cook from your staples in your kitchen to save cost of food and for health and nutrition.
Maizy is such a beautiful little dog. Does she have a heart of her side? I thought it looked like a heart but didn't get a second look.
@@OkieGirl899 Thank you. Yes it is a heart on her left side. I got her 5 months ago from a rescue shelter here. She is 4 years old and a sweetheart.

Glad you didn't get hurt. My dog and I are waiting for the sidewalks to clear so we can go for our walks too. Stay safe!!
Taking notes for my retirement days ahead 🎉
