The hearts are beautiful and obviously full of love - what a kind and thoughtful gift as well as a way to make some extra money! I am watching on Jan 25, 2025 and it is the 1 year anniversary of my retirement - I am 69. I was a self employed, work from home software developer for 38.5 years ... work I loved. And working as a 1 person "shop" enabled me to live simply which was my goal from early adulthood. I still dabble in tech plus enjoy photography, videography, watercolor so keep my brain active. I live in rural NW Montana with my dog and cat and we all get outside in all weather so bodies are active also. The bread looks wonderful. I've been a bread baker since my 20's and the last 10 years all things sourdough. I love the process as well as health benefits. And, much less expensive vs buying bread, especially Artisanal breads. Like you, I am a scratch cook which is another cost saver and health benefit. Oh, the potato ... in the "old" days ... maybe our great-grandmothers (???) when soft white flours were not available, potatoes or potatoe water or combination was added to bread to make it softer. I use potato flour in focaccia and have a bun recipe that uses sweet potato. I use "simple" life but I like your "basic" life also. Love from Montana ❤❤❤
I am retired (14 years now) in Alabama. Work part-time in Mississippi. I find part-time work (and income) a necessary part of retirement. And serious Bible study and meditation.
I really enjoyed this. The leftovers looked great. I am just getting into sewing ( I am a cross stitcher) and cant wait to make cute things for around my house. Thanks for sharing! See you in the next video!!
Good Morning from CT. I'm 71, have to write you look younger than me! I love your thought for the day and reaching out to others with kindness. Hope you and your pup are doing well today.... Peace and Healing To All Who Pass By
Thank you for sharing your tips. I too am retired for 6 years now. It is a bit of a challenge at times but I sure do like not having to go out to work on these very cold mornings in East TN. Frugality is great and I certainly am that, every now and again I do splurge a bit! I too would like the bread/roll recipe. God bless you on your journey.😊
I just read your bio on your channel and saw that you are a retired nurse like me! ❤ I'm new subscriber and am enjoying your channel. You have a nice soothing voice and give practical tips! Thanks again
I would love to have your bread/roll recipe and the quilted heart too. I recently found your site and enjoy your show. I am retired and live in Western NC. Our weather is usually fairly moderate but we, like you, are in the midst of very cold weather. I hope how soon our temperatures go back closer to normal!!
New subscriber here. Leaving a heart with your tip is a great idea. How thoughtful of you to do that. I crochet and donate or gift most of what I make. Some friends and I will be working on a project this year to leave hats & scarves or ear warmers & neck warmers in sealed bags throughout our area next fall/winter. I would love to see how you make your bread rolls.
Thank you for joining and your comment. I crochet chemo caps for the cancer center at our hospital. I will make a bread video next week, it is so easy and good, as is the homemade mayonnaise.
I’d love your bread recipe! I also enjoy cooking. I’m still working for another 6 years but have always lived frugally not out of necessity but out of a desire to save money.
Loved the video! Thank you! I too would love your bread recipe. I make my bread/rolls also along with making my own yogurt and granola. Saves lots of money and tastes better to me. I will soon be 74. I am curious how you made those tags for your hearts. Is it printed on cloth or paper? Would also love to see some watercolor instructions!!!❤ So glad I found your chanel. 😊
Just found your channel and I’m really enjoying it, but the repetitive music is so annoying. Maybe change up the music so it’s not just a loop. Just a suggestion, but this is your channel to do as you please!!
