It’s been -35, -25 and so on here. So I decided to paint my house. I bought the best paint they had at Sherwin Williams. Today I washed walls and painted my kitchen. Tomorrow I will paint my DR, and by the end of next week I hope to have the LR, entry, hallway, bedroom and 2 bathrooms painted…we will see. I’ll be 81 in March and ride a Harley in the summer.
Wowzers!!! You are busy busy! I painted my bathroom today 😂 I live in the Eastern side of Washington State with snow on the ground too and so cold! Don’t you love to ride your Harley? I loved it too. I’m 74❤
I’ve been following you for a while..and now I must comment. I want to say thank you…..you have helped me to get motivated and to take a more positive view of things. Even when u had your bad knee you were a great example of how to just get on with stuff and make the best of a situation. I am aware you have what many of us don’t have, and wish we did..and that is a caring family close to you….but nonetheless, everything u say helps. THaNKYOU!
Hi nanny you are such a breath off fresh air I am a 69 year old grandmother and take care off my two year old granddaughter and sometimes she like to play in the garden I think we will start planting herbs thanks for the inspiration 😊
Nanny I turned my bathroom into a green house its sunny and warm and yes I can still use it I enjoy taking a bath with all the plants I fell like I'm outside I'm 73 and live along ! I'm in Tennessee
January is a tough month. I'm keeping busy trying to purge and organized, trying a new recipe at least once a week, giving myself a spa day every once in a while, and trying to plan events for the next month's.
Gosh. I'm 51 and I get it! I'm in empty nest syndrome and a lot of my friends have moved. It's just me. I feel like the whole world is going and doing and I'm just here. My body doesn't much want to be going but my mind gets in a funk sometimes and then I feel lonely.
What a perfectly timed video! Yes, I’ve been in a funk lately. I agree that it’s okay to visit, but not live there! I love your videos so much, and I love the Melania inspired garden hat on you! God bless you❤️
Thanks, Nanny for this reminder, at this time of year, to keep on going and find something we enjoy doing. You are always there to share what works for you. Thanks for not pretending life is always positive and it’s natural to struggle at times with feeling different than usual. Please say hello to Moosie. You both are such an inspiration with how you live your lives and such troopers and how you get through very difficult times.❤️
Yes, weather here in Oklahoma is too cold to get out and work in the yard. I have my geranium in the house under a light to get them thru the winter. I also have several avocado plant I started from seed . So I do have some gardening going on inside. I think I will start looking for pots some herbs to start in the house. To stay out of a funk I sew a lot, from quilts to purses etc.. And I stay very active with my church. So life is good even though my husband is fighting prostate cancer but things are looking good so far. So glad the fires have not hurt your place and pray the fires will not get close! Love your hat!
Thank you sending us this video this evening! I really look forward to seeing you and Moosey! And Shamu too! It’s very cold and snowy here in Ohio so we’ve been in the house for a long time! Please be safe and keep up the good work!!! Love you all!!!💜🙏🏻💜🙏🏻💜🙏🏻💜🙏🏻
Love your hairstyle today, Nanny! I’ve always kept Lemon Thyme in a pot near my kitchen door so, as I go in & out, I can run my fingers through it. Smell your fingers afterwards, it’s an instant pick me up! Love to Moosey🥰
You, my friend are amazing! Just seeing you and hearing your voice brings me such a full heart of joy. For me,I think it’s your wisdom and topics of conversation that I appreciate so much. You truly are my ray of sunshine. Give mosey a big hug and have him give you one too. Until next time, stay well you too. I’m now funkless thanks to you❤😊
Nanny, I was feeling the same way! I hadn’t been out of the house for a week, & today I went to Lowe’s to get some energy bars to feed our birds. I went looking for a English ivy and something with color. No, ivy found a cute planter with some kind of tropical plant in it. I went to Safeway and found my ivy! I felt so good getting out, even though it was 28 deg. But I feel better now! Thank you so much for reminding us 80+ seniors, that we can’t give up and do something. 💕💕🙏🏻🙏🏻🇺🇸
I have been in a funk also, and appreciate you sharing that you had been too and telling us how to encourage ourselves. I know David encouraged himself " in the Lord" in the Bible and I know we have to do that too. What a good reminder.!! You are a Teacher still and an encourager! and I appreciate you so much!. I realize that for myself being able to Get Things Done is a Natural Antidepressant.!! 💖
I always feel better in the sunshine and I struggle in Scotland as it's not around much. I watch you and enjoy your sunshine Nanny!!! I love to garden but will have to wait a long time yet. Wish us luck there is a massive storm tomorrow red alert warning. So glad you are still at home and safe.
Thank you Nanny for such an encouraging message. We are blessed to still have health to be active doing exercise classes and going camping etc. Following Jesus is our way of keeping positive and facing the different fchallenges as we age. We always feel the caring hands of the Good Shepherd in all circumstances.Love and prayers from Australia🥰🇦🇺🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💕
Hi Nanny. Enjoyed today's video a lot. You are right, we have to be self-motivated. I have to say I really have not been down lately. Been rather cheery I think but it wasn't always the way with me. I've spent plenty of time having the blues. I think what changed in me was One day I realized life is moving fast & the time I spend mad or sad or worried are moments I will never get back. I started living like today is my last day & before I knew it, I was living every day like this. I have a little rule that I make my husband laugh everyday & he dances for me every day. Sounds silly but it works. We stopped looking at the clock & now we get up when we want, sleep when we want, eat when we want & spend our days doing what we feel like doing. It's made a world of difference in our degree of happiness & not having the blues. ...Love your videos & wish you & Moose all the best. 😊❤Happy Days❤😊
I live in Houston and we had a historic snow fall!! I have cabin fever. My plan for Friday is to get my gel nails taken off and go to Wal-Mart and look for clearance saies. Saturday will go to an early matinee to see wicked. Sunday football day. I'm out of my funk just thinking about my plans 🤗 your gardening is fabulous, your joy in living is awesome!!
As always, you are an inspiration and a breath of fresh air, Nanny. I so enjoy visiting your garden especially when we in cold Ottawa, Canada, are covered in snow.
I just recently moved. All of my pots are up the hill from my home. I went up yesterday to check on a couple of them that I knew would survive through the cold winter months. I’m planning tomorrow bringing them to my house. I am so ready to get my hands in the dirt! I have a full time job that keeps me busy. I do get into a funk when I’m not working. Take care and I pray that the fires go out. God bless you.❤
Fun! I live in central CA and itching to get my pots refreshed. I have about 30 pots. ..20 are succulents and need soil swap. I don’t plant in the ground because of weeds and the soil is too hard to even dig an inch! And it’s all steep hillside-/not for me! But I adore my pots and the trees, palms, ferns, flowering plants and (best) succulents. You look invigorated and your mood change is evident! Plants will do that for you!🩷 One little tip.. I used those garden stakes last year. You need garden markers for them. A regular water proof marker will fade so fast. Garden markers are available everywhere, so keep on the lookout. You won’t regret it!🩷 Stay safe and well… love your channel.
Nanny you are wonderful! Hello from sunny Spain It’s Jackie here. As you said I have been a bit down the last few days, my Hubby has had a really nasty virus and whereas normally I am like you always on the go but not so the last few days. I just put your video on and WOW what an inspiration you are. Just wanted you to know. Over this weekend I am going to do exactly what you just did, replant my succulents and get some new pots of herbs etc. Thank you soooo….. much keep doing what your doing. Sending love ❤❤❤
Hello Nanny, I’m glad you’re out of your funk! I’ve been there alot lately. & your videos help get me out. I’ve watched your videos from the beginning, I look forward to forward to seeing you! Thanks so much & love to moosey!💕🌸
Hi Nanny, you are such a doll to encourage your followers, love the idea to plant succulents, and herbs. Love the pots from Dollar Tree, I'll check my store, thank you for motivating me. You look so cute in your Overalls, hat and sunglasses. I just adore your sweet spirit. Hope you and Moosie enjoy your Friday and weekend. God bless you both, and your beautiful family. ❤🙏
It's too cold and windy here in West Texas for me to spend my morning time on my porch - which is my happy place. It's even too cold to go out & clean it up from all the dirt that has blown up on it. I brought a few plants inside before the freezes started, but there's no place inside to do any type of actual gardening Not being able to get outside is making me nuts. And I have vegged out in front of the TV far too much. So I'm trying to accomplish SOMETHING every day, even if it's a small something 😄 Have a beautiful weekend and I pray that the winds in CA stop soon!
Good morning Nanny. I loved the idea of making a small garden with small pots. It’s easy for us to take care of. I have to wait till May to do it as the weather here is still cold and rain. I saw the forecast for L.A. rain is coming, which will be good for fighting the fires that still exist. Love your garden outfits are so nice and comfortable. I can’t find them here. At the moment we are waiting for two major storms coming from England, so in addition to the bad weather, we still have warnings for this two major storms that will bring a lot of rain, cold and snow in the highlands. Therefore, the general state of mind is sadness because we really miss the sun, it has been a very harsh winter that we are not used to. Our country is normally mild and very sunny. Love you Nanny. God bless you all.
I have a couple of root bound indoor plants that really need to be repotted with more dirt and larder pot…..I seem to find excuses to not do it! I love fresh chives from my garden on baked potatoes, my chives come back every year here in MD. I could smell your tyme when you held it up to the camera 😌 I think the closer we get to Feb most people feel the Feb Funk, it’s always when it’s gloomy, good thing it’s a short month!
Thank you for keeping politics out of your channel. It’s all too much for me and you are a breath of fresh air. I love to watch you for complete escapism.❤
So glad you're not a Melania basher. We love her hat and fashion as well. You look beautiful in hats. Love your flowers on your mantle. Been in a funk but my ambitions went to straightening out my drawers and making my closets neat. Took me to a bin filled with old photos and it was so much fun bringing back so many memories of when we were younger. Found a picture of my grandma, who I loved so much and looking forward to finding a really nice frame to put her in. Thank you for this video, Looking forward to daffodils and tulips.
Nanny, you seem very energetic doing all that planting. All my plants are in the house and I just hope they stay alive not the best environment for them
I love my succulents but I also have 15 orchids I grow in water. I have 6 blooming right now. We have lots of plants in the house. We continue to pray for those affected by various things right now. Love your videos ❤️
When I went up in my attic last fall, I found some old embroidery pieces that I did years ago. Crewel embroidery is done with a special yarn rather than embroidery thread. These pieces are old and I will replace the yarn that has just given up. We experimented with our garden last year, so we will have to go back out and do a lot more work. We added some raised beds and will expand that concept. One of our daughters gave me a really cool raised bed that I used as my kitchen herb garden. A few years ago my hubby and I built a nice screened pavilion in the back yard. We need to fix a few things to make it look nice again, but our son is going to help with the construction part of this project. You have very talented kids to help you. Our daughters are willing help, but getting them together to form a care team is very hard because of their schedules. Sounds like a lot of fun!
Hi from Annie you look great in those overalls. the plants in pots are nice they can be placed anywhere easy to move around, I have several like that too. Along with a few fairy gardens etc. It is hard to stay dheerful happy motivated etc but thank you for the encouragement. Watchin you always cheers me up a lot.😘😘
Definitely in a bit of a funk here. I love nothing more than being out in my garden (oh for your lovely climate!). But you're right, there's nothing to stop me growing some indoor herbs, or starting my Sweetpea seeds etc indoors. We had a huge storm here in Ireland (red alert storm) last night, but luckily everything stayed put in my garden. I think the West got more of a battering, I'm on the east coast. Though all the schools and some shops were closed here today. Thanks for the inspiration, and gentle kick up the behind! Love xx
You said your garden looks sad but my garden is under snow and impossible to see. Yours looks beautiful to me. February is usually my funk month so I need to plan projects for that.
❤🎉 Nanny you're looking great, your hats fabulous, and I love Melania's style too. Guess what was delivered today, a Mock mill for grinding my own flour -- I gotta push myself to bake with fresh flour from whole wheat and other ancient grains !! Gotta get moving more plus learning new skills, flops and all lol !! Wish me luck (huge learning curve lol), hi to Moosie, and THANKS for inspiring us all !! 😍❤️🥰🙂🇺🇲
How do you always know what’s happening with us ( me in particular). I’m totally unmotivated and yes watching TV; my favorite utuber. I’ve been very worried about you and Moosie especially with these new winds and fires. Bless you Nanny. You’re the best😍😌😊❤️🥰❤️❤️
I too am in a funk! Tired of this very cold and snowy weather. Taking a break from reading so I bought a couple of puzzles. Maybe they will bring me around. I'm afraid of falling and it's so icy everywhere which means that I haven't been out fora couple of weeks. Hoping the warm weather comes early. 🙏
Loved this video. I’m a new watcher of your channel. I have been gathering my containers to try my hand at container gardening. And somebody gifted me a raised bed for planting tomatoes. I’m so excited to get started but waiting for the weather here to calm down. I live in north Florida and it has been unusual weather this month. And thank you for showing your herbs and pots. I already have my list of herbs to plant and I’m going to my Dollar store to see if they have one of those 3 part containers like you showed. Thank you so much for this video. It did lift my spirits and put a smile on my face. You are amazing. 😊
I'm a homebody but this week I got into a funk. The extremely cold weather has got me down. Today I went on a 1.5 mile hike through the snow since it was 29 degrees (wind chill feels like 20 degrees). Compared to the temps we have been having this feels tropical. No sunshine though. I would love to do indoor gardening but if I bring a plant inside it dies. Not enough light. I'm a great gardener outside.
Thank you for your uplifting video I for the first time in a few years I'm living in an apartment that has a nice patio and I'm looking forward to gardening I'm taking your advice and I'm going to do some research about what plants I want to have and go out and get some pots. I am so tired of staying in and you've given me a purpose to go out and look around in the stores and maybe a thrift store for some containers containers
Hey sweet lady love watching you and mossy love your cooking sessions well lets just say I love everything you do i have watched you a long time i don't comment but you are a beautiful lady love you and mossy stay safe ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve not been in a funk but always looking for something to do. I do have a indoor tower garden and right now I have 2 different lettuces , Italian pepper and a lot of herbs. I’m dehydrating some right now. I also decided to give my bathroom a makeover. I’ve gotten half of it painted today and ordered new towels and bath rugs. My paint color is a very light Iris and it’s so pretty❤ We still have snow on the ground and it’s been very cold. I live in Eastern Washington close to Colville. I do have seeds ready and bought my seed starting mix. That I will start in the next couple of weeks. Love your videos and I am 74 ❤❤❤❤
I've been in the house Al week. We had the first snow in about 100 years here along the gulf coast - our official total was 9 inches! And staying below freezing! So. Its melting and I'm getting out today - don't know where but it’s happening! Love ya. P
It's great to see you out in the garden repotting the plants, etc. I know that gardening is very therapeutic, especially if you are in a funk. I do love lemon thyme, basil, and sage. Beautiful plants. I was wondering what you thought about Melania's hat and fashions at the inaugaration. What was your favorite outfits worn. Fun to see what they all wear to the various events no matter what side you're on. I can get in a funk. Especially this time of the year. It's been below zero lately around here. I went to a baby shower on Sunday out in the country and it was -10 degrees and sunny outside. Otherwise has been pretty quiet. I have to make to do lists everyday and check things off as I accomplish due to lack of motivation. It would be fun to plant some hyacinth and tulip bulbs for easter blooming. Before we know it, it will be spring. Glad that the fires seem to be dying down. Thank you for the video. Take care and have a great weekend. See you next time.MJ ♥️🌸👒🌿🌵🌱👩🏼🌾☀️
oh you look ‘cute’! I c 🔥 are spreading again 🥴what in the world are they gona do? well it makes me nervous & sad . you guys keep warm and we will b praying for you, and yes Bored? or stress or something is going on here, i’m glad to heat i’m not the only one. i’m sending you some online flowers 🌷 🌻🌺🪻🌹🌷 enjoy, I need more birdfeed , the squirrels are taking over this year♥️🙏
You are the coolest. 10 years back we were without tv and then after about 5 years we got a big screen tv. It's such an addiction and life goes by too fast. My son also went without tv and said he couldn't believe how much he got done working on his career.
You look so pretty, I thought it was the color of your blouse. When you said you changed your makeup, I thought, THAT'S IT! I'm not in a funk yet, but I feel it coming. I think I'll plant some lettuce in a planter and some herbs in another. I'll try succulents this year, but right now, it's 19°.
Oh I almost forgot.... it's freezing where I am at!!!! We had neg 20 the other day so I don't want to be out in it but I'm looking at walls going??? Reading and tv just hasn't been cutting it!
Greetings Nanny! I love your hat! When I saw the First Lady's hat, I thought of you. Can you buy herb garden seeds online? I would love to know the names of some of those succulents. Love and blessings ♥️🙏
Nanny! looking gorgeous as always. What is the stick foundation you’re wearing today? I must’ve missed where you mentioned the name. I’m gonna try the elf glam. I’m just not sure what color to try. You always look phenomenal. I was just at the dollar tree and saw those pots today. I’m sorry I didn’t get them.
Another comment. Ha ha you bought them at the 99 cents store for $1.29. That also happens at our Dollar Store. Store names cannot keep up with prices. Now back to your video. Can you tell, I am trying to extend the enjoyment of your video.
🎉You look gorgeous! Would love an affiliate link (so you can make a buck or 2) or just a link for both of your hats on this video? Love all your info and advice🎉 Thank you!
You’ve given me the idea to find some little plants and plant them in a little terrarium. I found my old one last week and I always loved terrariums! And you’re so right…we need to keep going!!! Love you!🙏🏻🇺🇸❤️

You are inspiring!!!
Wow! GLENDA…you are “the Bomb”….now that’s what I call ENERGY and self -motivation at 81…plus a good dose of mobility!❤️
I want to paint the stairs.
Wowzers!!! You are busy busy! I painted my bathroom today 😂 I live in the Eastern side of Washington State with snow on the ground too and so cold! Don’t you love to ride your Harley? I loved it too. I’m 74❤
I agree Melania looked so great in that hat

Seeing you play in your garden brings me joy on this cold January morning. Time to go herb shopping for my windowsill garden! ❤️
January is a tough month. I'm keeping busy trying to purge and organized, trying a new recipe at least once a week, giving myself a spa day every once in a while, and trying to plan events for the next month's.

So glad you love Melania ♥️
It's been cold here lately. So I tell myself "by and by.." as I tuck in and just enjoy doing nothing much. Once it warms up, I'll spring into action!

❤❤❤You look awesome Nanny! I think your blue overalls and plaid shirt are what’s making you look so outdoorsy! So cool!❤❤❤
You really look great in a hat, Nanny!
I brought a few plants inside before the freezes started, but there's no place inside to do any type of actual gardening
Not being able to get outside is making me nuts. And I have vegged out in front of the TV far too much. So I'm trying to accomplish SOMETHING every day, even if it's a small something 😄
Have a beautiful weekend and I pray that the winds in CA stop soon!
So glad you wasn't bothered a lot by the fires. Glad they are under control
Garden hats, do it everytime, overalls.❤
Thanks for sharing. It’s snowing here right now, but I can still do some planning for spring.❤
I could smell your tyme when you held it up to the camera 😌
I think the closer we get to Feb most people feel the Feb Funk, it’s always when it’s gloomy, good thing it’s a short month!
Glad you and Moosie are enjoying the sunshine. I live in south Texas and love all the sunshine we get. Praying that y’all stay safe.
Thank you for keeping politics out of your channel. It’s all too much for me and you are a breath of fresh air. I love to watch you for complete escapism.❤
So agree. On that note - no comment re Melania!
Your are adorable girl !!!! Keep on keeping on your an inspiration to all. ❤
I’m so glad you both are okay. That’s great. I enjoyed this video. You are so good with your garden. I love watching the birds 🦅 also. Take care❤
It’s great that you have so much to do…and family to help, my friend…love crewel embroidery❤️
Absolutely 👍🏻 ❤
Hi from Annie you look great in those overalls. the plants in pots are nice they can be placed anywhere easy to move around, I have several like that too. Along with a few fairy gardens etc. It is hard to stay dheerful happy motivated etc but thank you for the encouragement. Watchin you always cheers me up a lot.😘😘
I love your outfit & hat!! You are always so stylish & pretty!!
Love xx
❤❤❤❤😊you got me going Nanny .😊😊😊😊
I am definitely in a funk. It’s extremely cold here in RI. I never watch TV but I do a lot of crocheting and reading. You look so beautiful , always😊
Wonderful, BD…sounds really intriguing…❤️
You sound very ambitious, good for you. Wish I had your energy.
@@patsy6589 Lol thanks but I haven't done it yet, fingers crossed, God willing .. 🙂🙏❤️
If too cold at least get 30 minutes of sunshine especially before lunch to break the January blues.
It’s ok to stay in and avoid the icy sidewalks, Maureen…you can do this!❤️🥰
Loved this video. 😊
Thanks for being here with us,Pauline…❤️
I'm a homebody but this week I got into a funk. The extremely cold weather has got me down. Today I went on a 1.5 mile hike through the snow since it was 29 degrees (wind chill feels like 20 degrees). Compared to the temps we have been having this feels tropical. No sunshine though. I would love to do indoor gardening but if I bring a plant inside it dies. Not enough light. I'm a great gardener outside.
Great video for this time of year as I think most of us are suffering from the winter doldrums.
You look beautiful min that hat..🎉
Hey sweet lady love watching you and mossy love your cooking sessions well lets just say I love everything you do i have watched you a long time i don't comment but you are a beautiful lady love you and mossy stay safe ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for being here,Doris…❤️
I love your bibs!! In about 1990, I bought a pair at Walmart that had a big heart for the bib. Sure wish I could find another pair just like that.
I totally agree! I gotta get outside…..🤗
You are to be admired,Alice…love your energy …and projects!❤️
You’ve inspired me to make a small container herb garden.
I've been in the house Al week. We had the first snow in about 100 years here along the gulf coast - our official total was 9 inches! And staying below freezing! So. Its melting and I'm getting out today - don't know where but it’s happening! Love ya. P
You inspire me, God bless you
❤❤❤ 😊Beautiful!!!
Get a board put it into the trunk and slide the potting soil down into the wagon.
Glad you got your mojo back and LOVE the ficked hair Nanny - fabulous - Love Jas xxx

Thanks for the flowers, my friend…❤️
I haven't watched TV in 10 years. Don't miss it.
You are the coolest. 10 years back we were without tv and then after about 5 years we got a big screen tv. It's such an addiction and life goes by too fast. My son also went without tv and said he couldn't believe how much he got done working on his career.
Yes, a funk I was in for the last two week, with the first and worst case of Covid. Today, all well! Test came out negative!
Love your positive attitude. ❤❤❤❤❤
Love Your Hat Nanny,May God Bless You And Moosy Take Care There In CA
You look so pretty, I thought it was the color of your blouse. When you said you changed your makeup, I thought, THAT'S IT!
I'm not in a funk yet, but I feel it coming.
I think I'll plant some lettuce in a planter and some herbs in another. I'll try succulents this year, but right now, it's 19°.
You can stack those clover shaped pots
Hello Nanny, love you video, it was just what I needed! Can I ask where you purchased your hat, it suits you so much. Thank you for the boost,😘
Yes,Amazon has seeds, live plants,…soil,etc…everything❤️
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nanny! looking gorgeous as always. What is the stick foundation you’re wearing today? I must’ve missed where you mentioned the name. I’m gonna try the elf glam. I’m just not sure what color to try. You always look phenomenal. I was just at the dollar tree and saw those pots today. I’m sorry I didn’t get them.
Watch Tomorrow’s GRWM makeup video…,my friend…❤️
Another comment. Ha ha you bought them at the 99 cents store for $1.29. That also happens at our Dollar Store. Store names cannot keep up with prices. Now back to your video. Can you tell, I am trying to extend the enjoyment of your video.
🥰🥰😂❤️
🎉You look gorgeous! Would love an affiliate link (so you can make a buck or 2) or just a link for both of your hats on this video?
Love all your info and advice🎉
Thank you!
Most of my hats are older…and many are thrift finds, Michele….sorry❤️
You’ve given me the idea to find some little plants and plant them in a little terrarium. I found my old one last week and I always loved terrariums! And you’re so right…we need to keep going!!! Love you!🙏🏻🇺🇸❤️
You are amazingly wonderful ❤❤
