@@AlyLourim You can honestly pronounce it however you want! The point of books is that the audience plays a part on the creation of the story in their mind :)
I have seen so many negative reviews of this book and it's refreshing to find someone who loves it like I do! I did have a problem with some of it, like the three tasks, for example. All in all I loved it and I'm now reading the second book!
I tried really hard to hate it. And I failed. I looooooooove this series.

If you liked the world till here, just know that this book is the tip of the iceberg and you're in for one hell of a ride. I hope you stick with it and keep going forward, I loved the way you told pieces of the story through your eyes and how you noticed so many details that some people overlook, it felt like reading it for the first time again ❤ The reason why some people don't like this book is for a number of things that happen between some characters toward the second half of the book, but you already understood that things are messed up in this world, not only because there are monsters, but because people are monsters too, sooo... hope you enjoy! 😁

I'm glad you started posting videos again! I was curious to know what you thought of the book.
At first the book drew me into the story.
I'm just going to give you more time into the story, because it was after the second half that it started to crumble for me, specially the development of the characters.
Can't wait to hear more from you.
For me, I ended up picking up words of radiance because I couldn't wait to know how stormlight archive continued!

I just felt betrayed, but that's part of a future conversation so I don't ruin anything for you! Lol. Although this book I was pretty quick to finish, not even close to the month that took me to read WoK 😂!

@@AlyLourim one thing I am going to say is: her entire family are assholes.
So I won’t spoil any specific things but I think a lot of the hate comes from a similar place to hate for 50 shades in that the relationships in these books are not healthy at all but the negative behaviors are not really shown as the giant red flags they should be. And I think that this gets marketed as YA makes it more troubling to people that toxic relationships are treated as normal.
It shouldn’t be marketed as YA due to spice. As for the relationship issues I see them I’m aware of them, they’re also a story and all my friends who have read this entire series said Sarah addresses all the issues with trauma that cause the toxic behavior throughout the series. She doesnt hide under it. And also (at least my friends) are aware of what’s toxic, having guilty pleasures and knowing this is not reality and their relationships don’t reflect that. I understand peoples frustrations with those things. It’s why I didn’t return to twilight but now I’ve decided I’ll return with the knowledge I have of those things and let it be a guilty pleasure. As long as you know fact from fiction I don’t see a huge problem.
You said this book gave you Beauty and the Beast vibes and you loved it, that's what annoyed me about it. I'm glad I stuck with it because it turned out to be more of a true fantasy rather than a fairy tale but the reference is definitely there. Where the book shines is when she digs into the different types of Faye and their magic and traditions. It's new and not a carbon copy of other books I've read.

I'm glad everyone loves this book and it's for them but omg i dont understand it's appeal at all LOL.
I could not finish it more than half the first book... I know I ought too, and a few friends have told me the series gets better. But I found it such a slow sludge and the main character feels like a mix between the worst parts of Katniss from Hunger Games and Tris from Divergent series.
It's probably a me thing since everyone else I know is completely obsessed with it and im glad they love it :-D
This series is very much a you either love it, or you hate it kinda of series sadly 🥲 I still think the first book is amazing, and I’m sad you won’t ever learn of Feyre’s arc lol or experience my fav in the shorts: a court of wings and ruin. Feyre > Katniss IMO lol. But life is short, so just read the books that make you happy 🙃🙃 I mean it’s one less book you have to read haha. Thanks for watching though ☺️☺️ you can watch the rest of my videos so you know the tea without reading them 😂🙌🏻
Also this series isn’t YA - the publishers messed up marketing real bad on these books. The themes in this book are very much adult and more mature than YA.
I just sat through an hour of the book and OMG 😳. This book and genre are growing on me. Will definitely read through the whole series.

@@AlyLourim Intermittently. There are plenty of AMAZING moments and sections, but also a lot of stuff that is just dull or annoying.

I also choose to play as a ranger in d and d and also any other game that has the option to lol but i didnt realize thats why i liked her so much! ive talked to others about feyre and they said negative things and i was thinking "but i like her" lol
I’m obsessed with feyre. She handles her trauma and anxiety similar to me. It’s so real and yes she’s an archer and a badass. It’s okay you can come join the feyre fan club over here 🥹🥰
I love this review. I don't really get into a lot of romance type novels, I'm more just straight fantasy and mystery, but I really enjoyed this book. I find myself playing rangers as well in a lot games and rpgs, so I really enjoyed Feyra being a ranger. I can't wait to start on the next one.

Yes I agree, romance is not my go to but I think Sarah J Maas does an amazing job of mixing romance with fantasy so well that I’ve become completely obsessed with her books. I plan on reading all of them. Thank you for watching, I’m so glad you enjoyed the video!

Getting some serious Twlight vibes here and that's a red flag for me.
I mean, yes there’s romance but it’s a fantasy series with war, politics and amazing world building. The romance is a bonus for me. I’m here for the fantasy and the how well the author handles mental health throughout the series ☺️
