76ers fan here, but in 5 years from now joel embiid is gonna be almost irrelevant. Injuries. He is not going to age well into his later nba career. 2029 i do not have joel in the top 20.
I also would not have Fox either. I kinda see Fox in his early 30's like john wall. Injuries and out of the league. Im actually surprise he hasnt had any major injuries thus far based on his playing style.

Second, Chet is 8-2 lifetime against the guys you mentioned across all platforms. So I’m not sure who you think is dominating him. Chet: 7, 5, 1, 2 stocks on 2-4 shooting in 17 minutes
      Wemby: 11, 7, 1, 3 stocks on 5-6 shooting in 10 minutes

Chet is better than Sengun. Have of the game is defense, and he is not a good defender. Chet is a premier rim protector, one of the best shooting bigs in the league, and has the base of a great playmaker(he doesn’t need to do it a lot because OKC has too much playmaking already). I like Sengun, but having him over Chet doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. Chet is doing it on the best team in the west 23 games over .500, Sengun on the 12th team in the west 7 games under .500. Yep, and with Shai likely being just behind them. It's amazing how quick he got them to being respectable last year, and now they are an elite team. Jokic will likely still be elite as his game does not rely on athleticism at all (similar to how Vince Carter stayed in the league in his early 40s as he was always a good three point shooter, even when his athleticism declined) and Tatum will also be in the top 5, with a ring at some point being very likely (maybe this year). The list overall was REALLY good, as it's hard to rate people like Embiid due to injury history and Ja and Zion for that reason and that they rely on athleticism a LOT (remember that Blake and Amare declined FAST after their primes and Faried and Harrell are irrelevant now despite being exciting players when they were young, at least Blake and Amare developed jumpers to extend their careers). Derrick Rose was also super athletic, but with injury issues, so he declined super fast as well. The likes of LeBron are genetic freaks (especially since he was insanely athletic in Miami and his first Cavs run and never had serious injuries), as being this good when pushing 40 isn't the norm at all (Tom Brady was similar as he took the Bucs to a championship when he was over 40).

@@UNCjockstrap Lol I know nothing about basketball cause I'm not a dumb fan who thinks Franz Wagner is going to be a top 20 player in the league? He's just not that level of player and doesn't have that potential. He's not even the best player on his own mid team. Top 20 in the league means best on your own team or a VERY good #2 that could run his own team which Franz isn't going to be. You actually think you know basketball cause you've convinced yourself Franz is gonna be a 25 a night scorer on good efficiency? There's a ton of young talent with way higher potential than Franz has and a lot of guys already better than him with as much or more potential and there's a lot of guys better than him today. I won't dismiss your take though if you really feel like he's got that potential let's hear your argument for it, I'd love to hear someone who's being serious try to argue that Franz has top 20 in the league potential.

    • @UNCjockstrap
      @UNCjockstrap 6 месяцев назад +1

@@Cardb33 two things, 1 on never said he’d be top 20 I was arguing the athletic part, and 2 I can make a better argument than you for him to be top 20 even though he isn’t.
Here is my argument for franz
I’ll get half the game out the way real quick there’s no debate he’s at least above average defensively on and off the ball
But to be top 20 you need elite offense, I seperate offemse into a few categories
Transition play: franz uses his length playmaking and finishing to be a good transition player, he isn’t Scottie level or anything close to it but he’s great and contributes to a good high paced offense
Playmaking: while he’s more a connective passer than a playmaker, and he doesn’t run much pick and roll, he’s still setting up his teammates he’s a versatile passer as well
Rim pressure: he isn’t super bursty but he uses his length and strides to attack the smallest advantages. He has a tight handle with some of the most advanced finishing moves in the league.
Shooting: He’s an average shooter already and makes shots off the dribble, catch, and off the move. His 3pt percentage suffers but his shooting versatility and free throw rates mixed with his touch around the basket indicate high upside as a shooter.
Now for you to say he can’t average an efficient 25 is wild considering he’s averaging a relatively effecient 22.
Now if he can improve his shooting he’s elite. Remember he’s 22yo and this good. He’s already one of the best no2s in the game he could become the best in years time.

It’s so cool to see that Halliburton and sengun are guys that’s are breaking out. Those were my single two favorite or “sleeper” prospects I’ve evaluated since I started scouting and it feels so good to be right about them and see how much better their getting year in and year out. I think they can both be top ten in the league and potential mvps one day with how much they’re growing.

It's disappointing to see LaMelo didn't make the top 20, but I get it because there are too many questions about his health. He had several consecutive 30+ point games early this season before running into ankle issues yet again. If he's healthy, he could be top 10 in 5 years. He's easily one of the best passers in the league with ridiculous 3 point range.

But that is silly just on the face of it. If Mobley was a willing 3 point shooter and could hit 39% (and remember pre rookie wall he was in the mid 40’s) Mobley would be an all-star.

Agreed 100%. 26.2/5.2/5.2 and 4th in DWS at 22.. with a couple games where he tried to play injured holding those stats down more. And he is only getting better to where he plays with his prey during games now. But... its not a large market, and SROS has something against the Timberwolves especially for some reason.

I honestly do not understand these claims about Wemby. He shoots 47% from the field as a center, he is below average to bad 3 point and mid range shooter. He puts up points on the worst team in the NBA, honestly, he shouldn't even be a ROTY. Chet does similar things defesively, but is much better shooter and out side scorer.
