To process raw files from LightRoom you need a crop and straighten capability. Particularly important for bird photography as a first step in workflow.

Correcting "low quality faces" works about half the time, but when it works it's great.

In the current version of Photo Ai using Capture One, if you move the image around from the main screen, Photo Ai will stop working correctly. The sliders do nothing, the progress bar is greyed out, any adjustments made are also undone. Moving the image around using only the box in the upper right corner this doesn't happen.
The previous version of Photo Ai worked fine, the latest update has introduced a bug into Capture One.

You guys make a lot of similar software, I'm confused on which one to get. Why would I need this if gigapixel does exactly the same thing and is $100 cheaper? Why are there separate softwares for video and photo(affinity suite blends different workflows in one software)? What happened to Topaz Studio? I really love the neural filters and was planning on getting a license recently but its nowhere to be found on your website

And the output dng is more than 2 times larger than the arw file. Around here it grows 4-5 times. Why can't this "dng" size be reduced? From DxO this volume problem is more moderate.

In my experience, when I enable Recover Faces, Topaz AI seems to default to an unusable 80. I always end up turning it down to between 30 and 40. Anything more makes the faces look overly sharp and plastic. I wish we could set our own default level for this setting.

I've been evaluating the trial versions of Topaz and came across a couple noteworthy and interesting issues with Gigapixel.
Firstly, Topaz does NOT support my Lumix S5 ii RAW files, but it does support my older Lumix FZ2500's RAW files. I have to use Adobe's free RAW to .dng converter to get a usable file. 😞
Secondly, when resizing in Gigapixel and wanting a .dng file output to retain the maximum image information for further post-processing, the resultant file, when viewed in Windows is a thumbnail, displayed at 256 x 171 pixels, but it's a 459MB thumbnail! However, if you open that same file in your editing software, it is the expected large megapixel file, which can be post-processed.
Apparently, this is an issue with Windows not being able to display .dng files. So, it only renders the thumbnail. This is not fixable by Topaz. Microsoft must address the .dng file format capability in Windows. 😞 I assume Apple users are Okay.
So, while it looked like Gigapixel didn't work, I do have a usable way to resize my denoised .dng files from DxO PureRAW 3 (better results than Topaz) and then continue post-processing, which I do in Affinity Photo (which also does NOT support my S5 ii RAW files without conversion to .dng! 😞 Clearly, Panasonic is low on the camera totem pole.)
I have found the Topaz Gigapixel resizing results vary between images. Some are superb. Others not so much. However, it is potentially useful for those of us that don't need a high MP camera for a just handful of photos. Trouble is I suspect Topaz will soon drop the individual software packages and force you to buy Photo AI.

As of today I can no longer go from lightroom straigh to photo AI for some reason. After I click edit in photo AI, it creates a tif file in lightroom and start the photo ai program, but I only get to the "drop images or browse images" part. I tried to reset it and reinstall but it dosen't help. Denoise works fine, only photo AI I have trouble with.

I had the same problem a couple of days ago, and looked it up. There are apparently 2 ways of moving from Lightroom to PhotoAI. This is what I needed to do according to a support article:
"The plug-in that supports RAW editing is accessible from the File > Plug-in Extras > Process in Topaz Photo AI menu and will send any image directly to Topaz Photo AI, then import the processed image back into Lightroom Classic."

my raw files look much cleaner compared to what they look like when i open them in topaz. processing takes ages even tho my cpu and ram usage is only going up to 60% and gpu up to 20%. processor is set to gpu. and every time i touch it, like zoom in or anything to check results it starts doing it starts doing it all over again. takes couple of minutes each time . if i use jpeg then its very fast, like in this video. u can see at 6:10 the moment he changes preview to zoom in, topaz for some reason starts redoing everything, now imagine waiting every time few minutes after u touch anything. its so annoying. some day this might be a good software but currently its really like in alpha stage of development

Waste of time -added 3m of poor footage to upscale and it says 4days to process to 4K.So tried the basic settings and says 14hrs or in some settings doesn't tell you at all just says processing. When a small piece is available to views it's zoomed in about 50 times It certainly doesn't make even poor 480p footage any clearer of any worth.I tried upscaling pics but results really poor.

Forget it, no garbage allowed in my pc, good thing I made a copy of my hard drive before installing this garbage, 2 hours later after I didn't see any improvement on my images I restore my hard drive. 200.00 for what, do you want to waste your money?
