Flying the drone around Camaldolese Hermit Monastery, in Bielany near Kraków, Poland, on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022.
The monastery is located on the 326-metre (1,070 ft.) Silver Mount. It consists of hermitages and the Assumption of Mary Church.
The Camaldolese monks were invited to settle in Bieleany by Grand Court Marshal Mikołaj Wolski in 1603. The monastery was built between 1609 and 1630.
We stood approximately 1 mile away from the towers of the Monastery, so I couldn’t see the position of the drone in relation to the towers, while trying to pilot the drone. As I program it to execute the POI - (Point Of Interest) fly around the towers (circle around), probably because of the close proximity to the International Airport in Balice near Bielany/Kraków, the drone would not fly any further. Auto pilot took over and executed RTH (Return To Home) procedure.
Before Bielany I flew the drone around Tyniec Abbey - see the dedicated film on this channel mP.
Later that day we also went to Kopiec Kościuszki in Kraków, but the drone would not fly (“PERMISSION TO FLY DENIED”) because of some “super-secret military installations” nearby…
Next we went to Zakładka Restaurant in Podgórze situated right next to the Father Bernatek (foot/bike) Bridge.
Then we flew the drone over the Marshal Józef Piłsudzki (blue) Bridge in the rain storm…
Later we went to what use to be our elementary school (Szkoła nr. 28)…
And on the end of our trip we went to the “Gray House” - what use to be residence of the Commandant of Kraków Płaszów Concentration Camp during Nazi occupation of Poland…
