I noticed that most people like the Romance languages.
Yeah, we do have some musicality speaking. Like, we speak in a melodical way connecting everything so it sounds damn nice to our ears and it definitely makes it sound sexier than others...
Or rather most Europeans - especially Northern Europeans, don't have a vast knowledge of non-Euro languages :D
David Dalati yeah, I had the impression that some people struggled to answer as they didn’t really know other languages in general so didn’t want to get in trouble if he asked more questions lol 😊

Romance languages in general are beautiful to hear. There's some kind of "musical rhythm" in them, like Italian, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Romanian, Catalan. I think it is about the prominence of vowels and the clarity of how they are pronunced.

When I actually learned french I realised it is as rational as an equation...I believe spanish, italian and portuguese fit more the "romantic" sphere, they sound more vocal and fluid
Every language becomes rational when you know it. You start to focus on the words and the meaning instead of the sound of it. French for me sounds very melodic because of the accent at the end of the words and all the liaisons.
@@alam5055 This basically, for example, English is a very beautiful language and melodic as hell but people who know/have learned English consider it "bland" cause they don't focus on the sound of the language
@@wonderlandian8465 I disagree completely, when I learned it wasn't by theory, and yet I think the sounds are what makes it bland (which I don't is necessarily a bad thing btw). But the sounds of vowels and consonants are too either dry or simple. So I would never say romantic, but in some cases I would say cool. Like cowboys, or some action movies, etc.
Wonderlandian nah, as a native english speaker who is learning other languages, in comparison, it is very bland lol. The words come out dry and as if we’re bored compared to the way other Slavic and romance/latin languages sound. There’s no apparent accent and it’s usually mumbled lol.

This was a great question w/ some interesting responses
This was outstanding! This sort of thing lets me get to know not only the language but the people, culture, dialects and the beauty of Norway. I feel like all of these things need to be learned at the same time as learning the language. You've made this possible through your various videos. Great job. Thank you for reaching out to us.

Among the romance languages I choose Italian, Brazilian Portuguese and French ❤️

What variation of French, though? Not all French speakers talk with a Parisian accent. Go listen to Marseillais French and Quebecois French.

I am English and love the romance languages. However, I also feel Norwegian is a beautiful language to listen to.
I also love Norway. It's such a beautiful country and the pace of life there seems so settled and gentle. It's also really well organised considering how spread out the population are.
THIS WAS SUCH A HELPFUL VIDEO!🙏🏼 I live in Estonia and have been learning Norwegian on my own but my biggest concern is that I don't recognize words and phrases when natives speak because I'm not used to training my listening skills/ don't have many resources other than some norsk youtubers that I watch and interviews with singers/actors 😬 One of the things, which I found really interesting was that when they announced where each one got their dialect, it was easier for me to understand them and also just appreciate the different variations of the language. So thanks!! Jeg har lært så mye takket være deg🧡
Værsågod!

I personally like Japanese. It's unpopular but it just for some reason has like a spark to it.

I am so happy that for the first time, I managed to understand most part of the video reading just the norwegian (bokmål) subtitles!
I'm a Bulgarian who has been learning Greek and Turkish for years. I also used to study Romanian and Albanian at university. So my most favourite languages are my native Bulgarian, Greek, Turkish, Albanian, Romanian, Portuguese, Hungarian, Polish, Finnish, Icelandic, Estonian... Norwegian is very beautiful and interesting, too. All Scandinavian languages sound cool to me.
I love your street videos!
Is it too hard to read when there are 3 lines? Not sure if it's worth adding the bokmål below the spoken dialect, but maybe for those who take their time and re-watch/pause the video it's useful
I think it's great!! I really like the way you edited the video and it's very informative. Keep up the good work! 😉👌💯
det hjelper å lese underteksten på dialektene for å skjønne forskjeller fra standard bokmål vi lærer.
I found it really useful to have both the English and the Bokmål as it helps with my learning considerably so thank you for thinking to do it that way!
Your channel has been one of my most valuable finds for learning Norwegian - thank you for all the effort you’ve put into it. It’s made a huge difference for me. You’re an excellent educator. :)
Thanks for the feedback, I'll include all 3 lines in the next videos 👍
It's absolutely great for the people trying to learn Norvegian :D
I loved this video!! And the subtitles!! Thank you ❤️
Glad you enjoyed it! What do you think about having a separate line for the dialect and one for bokmål?
