"Life is all about resolve. Outcome is secondary. It is resolve that determines the value of your life." - Waka Best lines from Waka, methinks. I definitely hear a Chinese piano in the song.
"Ah... Amaterasu. Origin of all that is good and mother to us all... For too long, I, Kazegami, god of wind, have walked a shadowed path. At last, light shines upon me. Use my power to manipulate the wind! BANISH THOSE WHO WOULD SEEK TO SHROUD THIS WORLD IN DARKNESS!"
It felt nice hearing this while fighting the Rao/Waka battle in the Demon gates. Made the hours it took to get that battle over with slightly more tolerable.
Jeez love this song too. such great battle music. Its like a Metal song with these instruments. so coool. Love this game!!!! (its a bit easy but its more the experience than actual difficulty....though it gets touch late game)
'look, the moon, the moon came out!' was my fav prophecy frm waka as well a the one when u board the ark of yamato everything is all sad and sentimental and then BOOM waka plays tango music XD
the 'demon gate challenges'. they're basically demon gates that u hafta defeat 10 times, so there's 10 "rounds" of waves of enemies. there's also a total of 3 (each lies on the grave of a bandit spider), each one getting harder with each round, & each demon gate challenge. on the 3rd & final challenge, the last 2 rounds hosts 3 Wakas, 2 Evil Raos, & 3 Nagis...as the final challenge in the game.
i imagine Waka and Amaterusu fighting 0:01- 0:38 but none can land a hit on eachother.. waka playing his flute as amaterasu fights him.. 0:38-0:43 making a circle around eachother, making a move along with the beat... it's great when music touches you like that :'D
I love Waka, hes just so funny! Especially when he ignores blatantly ignores what Issun has to say and asks if he said something. I lol'd so hard at that
you need to get 'in the zone' if you want to beat him. i tried marking the spots on a piece of paper, but it failed so i just watched and placed the dots and it worked! and i did do it in numerical order.
There's also a sub technique in the restaurant in N. Ryoshima (Hurricane-- you have to give the fisherman in one of the islands a Marlin Rod and help him catch a Marlin and then go to the restaurant and draw three horizontal lines to help the chef) and two in a hole on one of the islands (Extra Cherry Bomb and Stronger Power Slash-- you have to donate a certain amount of money to the spring). To get the fireballs, you have to get the Golden Mushroom from the Teahouse guy in Taka Pass by--
Kamui Devil Gate Challege~ Waka: *Teams up with Rao and proceeds to continuously slaughter you* Issun: I knew you were bad news ya big fruitcake!! Ammy~Inner Thoughts: "OH CRAP OH CRAP OH CRAP!!!" Out of holy bones, asrtral pouches, golden peaches ink, infinity stones, and godly charms *Bounces off demonic energy walls in an attempt to refill ink jars attacking with a rosary to attempt to regain godhood and spamming veil of mist to land hits and gets away with it too, until both evil rao's are on the brink of health and they finally manage to stab me when I miss ONE of the floating swords with a power slash* *Replays and finaly beats it and again has no more holy bones only to find out the next match is 2 waka's and 3 rao's* Ammy: >:O
The Wood Mat is really useful for the Kamui Devil Gate Trial; if you bring in a lot of Yen, you can heal yourself between battles without using any items.
+Purpose Pie Or you can get gud. How many people played this game so much that they were capable of doing this shit while taking no, or only a few hits? I know I did. I played the shit out of this game.
just one word: git gud. arm yourself with a main-sub Reflector combination and learn Wailing Mirror. That's how I did it some years ago. not sure if you can counter every enemy, but it sure helped.
@NiNtenBricK actually he is on your side. unless you havent seen the end of the game. then i dont want to spoil anything. but he was actually on your side the whole game.
@thecakeofdestiny OMG! thank you sooo much! i basically beat the game 100% but i couldn't find it....must have just passed my eye....although the spider bandits cave didn't.....
@AmaterasuSpiritWolf This a somewhat late reply, (in case you forgot what you said, you said you hoped for a sequel for Okami) - if you don't know, a sequel is in the workings for the Nintendo DS, named Ōkamiden: Chiisaki Taiyō, or Okami Chronicles: Tiny Sun. Let's hope it sells well, so that we might get a PS3 Okami!
(Sorry, continued) defeating the moles in their game and getting back the Teaman's prized teacup. Give the chef in Sai-an City the Golden Mushroom and then help him make his dish by drawing the infinity symbol at the right time (you'll know when this is). You'll get the sub-technique Fireball, which allows you to create a giant ball of fire without any torches or anything nearby. The larger the symbol you draw, the stronger the fire but the more ink it consumes. Hope this helps!
It was difficult at first, but you warm up to it with time. You warm up to Waka... if you catch my drift S:) No, but seriously, I have the ps2 version and all I did was keep jumping around, slashing Pillowtalk right back at him and then hit him when he turns grey.
What happens when an amazing boss appears before you?
*~~~EEYYOOOOOOOOOOO*
You cannot beat the awesome might of Luke SkyWaka.
Ammy's reaction to Waka standing on water was priceless.
"You can stand on water?! I'm mother of all and even I can't do that!!"
"Life is all about resolve. Outcome is secondary. It is resolve that determines the value of your life." - Waka
Best lines from Waka, methinks.

Woof!!
It felt nice hearing this while fighting the Rao/Waka battle in the Demon gates. Made the hours it took to get that battle over with slightly more tolerable.
Waka was always so fruity with his little dances and his Flutesaber.. and.. Pillowtalk.. Waka.. I'm going to get you one day...
When I saw Waka trying to fight Yami, i started thinking "thats one tough fuit cake"
I love Waka with every fiber of my being, and i love his battle theme too.
I love the Shamisen!
Song that fits Japan perfectly
I can play this song for hours on end and never get tired of it.
"Look the moon, the moon came out..."
How stupid that prophesy sounded, he still was right in the end.
*LET'S ROCK, BABY*
This song always gets me so pumped. My favorite song from Okami, hands down.
I hope Waka is in Okami 2
A truly magnificent game. I love the traditional japanese music, it suits this game very well.
Let's rock baby!
Jeez love this song too. such great battle music. Its like a Metal song with these instruments. so coool. Love this game!!!! (its a bit easy but its more the experience than actual difficulty....though it gets touch late game)
A company named clover studios making a game about restoring nature to it's former glory? HOLY SHIT I SEE THE CONNECTION :D

I like how it's a remix of the normal battle theme combined with Waka theme.
this song chills my spine.

It's a pain when you hear this music for a THIRD TIME in the gameplay when you fight Waka and Waka then Roa and Roa

+White Darkness woah...now we have a dilemma XD

"It takes two to tango~" - Waka
XD so epic
'look, the moon, the moon came out!' was my fav prophecy frm waka as well a the one when u board the ark of yamato everything is all sad and sentimental and then BOOM waka plays tango music XD
That makes sense, his theme is really amazing.
I love the opening to the song it sounds really cool.
Okami is Flawless
My favorite song in Okami, period.
PLAYING?? It took me forever to beat him the first time and when the battle ended at last, I was furious to see that Waka was completely unruffled!
Whhhaaaaattttt??!! That's so amazing, I'm gonna get one

Waka is epic and pure love.
...A flute that turns into a sword. Ushiwaka, you are epic.
Usually when I battle Waka,I'm too focused to listen to the awesome music, maybe that's also why he didn't remember the song
Okami is epic!
I can see Ammy and Waka being in the Smash Bros. game, and this being one of the songs for the stage(s) that goes with them
LETS ROCK BABY
waka is teh awesomest
i love it *.*
He was kind of annoying at first, but I loved his theme. Then I heard his back story and then I felt bad for him.... And his theme was still awesome.
Even without using the beads, he's pretty easy to beat.
you need to get 'in the zone' if you want to beat him. i tried marking the spots on a piece of paper, but it failed so i just watched and placed the dots and it worked! and i did do it in numerical order.
I play this song on my Xbox 360 when playing Blur. Believe it or not, it fits somewhat well!
The Spider Queen has her own music, although I think the theme you're referring to plays in the fights with the Bandit Spiders.
Ushiwaka´s dance (okami) and Spirit supresion (okamiden) my two favorites! :D
this must've been fun for the orchestra to play ^_^

神乎其技!!好厲害!!
The beginning sounds like a lion dance oddly enough

but...but...but...wait! you musn't have beaten it!
taka pass is where the cutter couple is.. i freaked out the first time i saw em D;

@woopingfish
That's the Konohana Shuffle.
I do the same thing lol, mostly so I can listen to the awesome music longer ;)
Kamui Devil Gate Challege~
Waka: *Teams up with Rao and proceeds to continuously slaughter you*
Issun: I knew you were bad news ya big fruitcake!!
Ammy~Inner Thoughts: "OH CRAP OH CRAP OH CRAP!!!" Sides, even if you don't counter you can still block attacks that way.
@Drybones01 It's in a cave near the entrance to Wep'Keer
@AmaterasuSpiritWolf

@Numeber37 in the terms of the actual saying the tango is a duet it cant be done allone and by the games terms it means it takes two to fight
I like the glaives, and blizzard, but the other two i do agree
I find myself hating Waka, but then loving him at the same time!
It's decepting to see they aren't in SSB but is due to copyright issues, remember *shrug*
