I use 10mg of chrysin cream to raise mine. On Halloween I'm gonna do a check to see if it has raised it at all. I went on the carnivore a year ago and I lost weight and felt better but man is that a discipline.
fiber binds with cholesterol and carries it out of the body when you use the bathroom. less raw material for testosterone to be made with. that's my theory. When I was vegan for a few years, towards the end I was more emotional, and had issues sustaining hardness in the bedroom. If I ate any significant amount of soy during that day, that night was wasn't happening. Not anymore since going carnivore.
Ketogenic diet and testosterone increase: Is the increased cholesterol intake responsible? To what extent and under what circumstances can there be benefits? Heitor Oliveira Santos School of Medicine, Federal University of Uberlandia (UFU), Uberlandia, Minas Gerais, Brazil
And what would be the next best diet besides the ketogenic diet. I have tried this and failed I do not like it I am a car person even if the carbs are berries and lots of vegetables I know that some of those things are allowed but I'm just not a keto person. What would you suggest as a next best diet.
I havent changed my diet much, eat meat and try to keep the carbs low. My testosterone was 400 and when i got back to the gym and changed to inverse pyramiding my level jumped to 650 in a matter of a month.
Can you tell me what would be a next best diet in general. I do not like the ketogenic diet I am a carb person I am cutting back in sugars but I still eat fruit and berries and lettuce and some sugar. What would be the next best diet as I do not like the ketogenic diet.
My testosterone undoubtedly went up on keto. I believe filtering all the water I drink made an even bigger improvement 😊 I didn’t need a blood test to confirm it either…
My free test was in the 120’s even though I was in the gym 5 days a week, and ate the 40% carbs, 40% protein, and 20% fat with 6 meals a day. I’m sedentary now, eating ketovore, OMAD, and my free test was like 670 something just 4 months ago. I’m 51. Imagine if I got my lazy butt up off the couch and did some compound weight training.
Heard an interview with a Dr. Today. Saying that yes 100 it helps and has seen many success stories. He believes it helps because it lowers inflammation, and that includes brain and nerves.. He made it sound like most of these diseases were being cured or helped in the first month. Worth giving it a try for 30 days. Eat lots of butter
Testosterone goes up due to the decline in belly fat which stores / releases estrogen. Estrogen inhibits endogenous testosterone. Carbs / sugar in your diet, along with stress, leads to higher visceral fat. It becomes a viscous cycle. If you have visceral fat, you have a constant release of estrogen. As a result, you are constantly inhibiting your testosterone, which makes it harder to build muscle, which in turn makes it harder to burn your belly fat. Another way to significatnly boost your testosterone is to sun tan your testicles for 10 min in the morning, or to use red light therapy on them. I bought a Joov red light machine and saw an immediate difference the next morning if you know what I mean ;-)
Sunlight is extremely inportant too for t levels!!! also sungazing, fill your body with light. Than onions and garlic and some tomkat ali herbals. Licorice is bad for testostoron levels.
How does it work though? I read several studies that say testosterone levels go down for a few hours after eating a high fat meal. So after a high fat meal testosterone goes down but overall over a period of time it will go up?
Carnivore plus Clomid for four months and my testosterone went from 194 to 958. I was on half the dose of Clomid a few months prior that gave me the 194. Doubling the Clomid probably helped, but a 5x increase I mostly attribute to going carnivore.
Need to look at other aspects of your life that could be affecting your T. Stress, poor circadian rhythm, how long on carnivore/ketovore, how much fat to support hormones, etc. If your body has been malnourished, could take longer to heal.
Yes. Multiple studies about PCOS notice that Testosterone and other hormones improve on a diet that lowers hyperinsulinemia (Keto). I have videos on this channel about the subject
Hubby has been on T-Cyp injections for years due to low T. He is now 51. Is it possible to come off these injections and increase T naturally by eating Carnivore? My concern is the injections have messed up his natural T hormone production. Thoughts? Thanks!
Keto diet (meat and greens with a few nuts now and then) doubled my total T but tanked my FREE Testosterone to almost zero! Have not found any way to bring free T back up except eating enough carbs to stay well out of ketosis.
Also, I wanted to comment that there are other places in the world where they are not doing ketogenic diets but they are very very healthy. I know this is beyond the comment of testosterone. People in Okinawa Japan and other places are very healthy but still eat things like rice etc. Again do you have any suggestions for diet other than keto. As I am a carb person. I have cut back on sugars so that's a plus but I'm looking for something different if you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
Is there an age in a man when even if he is eating a red meat diet, he can’t make testosterone? My husband is 80. Does he need to be concerned if he feels good even if the numbers are not good?
I can attest to eating more carbs contributes to struggles with managing testosterone. I have been on TRT for over 30 years and my insulin level was converting to fat and then that fat stored estrogen which gets converted from testosterone. My endo actually was ok with me fasting because it changed my blood work so much and she said doing that regularly and dropping my insulin levels was key to helping manage testosterone. So kind of curious to see what she says next year when I do blood work with fasting and carnivore.

I do not know your family relationship, but perhapse he would be more open to advice if it came from a men? Discussing testosterone with an aunt may be emasculating for him. Just a thought.
I can definitely already tell my testosterone has gone up over the past three weeks eating strictly meat. I guess I've had lower testosterone my entire life, but now I feel like me in the fullest.

I think everyone is different! in my case, I was able to increase my testosterone more than 100% when the urologist told me that there is no way you can increase naturally, only with TRT replacement. I decided to exercise, good source of natural fat, protein, very low carb and no sugar. that made a big difference in my life. Try, test it and see what works the best for you. I've heard lots of people say keto increases SHBG, crushing free testosterone, which is what really matters. Has anyone had any experience with this?
Good to KNOW info. Thanks Dr. Berry. 😎
I would say the increase in saturated animals that is improves your overall lipid profile and thus gives one the necessary nutrients to make hormones 😁
thank you for keeping this short
I’m 37 testosterone high 1100 or something doctor taught I was on steroids is this good or to high . I work out eat red meat every day

Low-Fat High-Fiber Diet Decreased Serum and Urine Androgens in Men
"We conclude that reduction in dietary fat intake (and increase in fiber) results in 12% consistent lowering of circulating androgen levels without changing the clearance."
I enjoyed video and thank for sharing with us.
I use 10mg of chrysin cream to raise mine. On Halloween I'm gonna do a check to see if it has raised it at all. I went on the carnivore a year ago and I lost weight and felt better but man is that a discipline.
Awesone information. I know it's helped me a lot
fiber binds with cholesterol and carries it out of the body when you use the bathroom. less raw material for testosterone to be made with. that's my theory. When I was vegan for a few years, towards the end I was more emotional, and had issues sustaining hardness in the bedroom. If I ate any significant amount of soy during that day, that night was wasn't happening.
Not anymore since going carnivore.
Great video.
Ketogenic diet and testosterone increase: Is the increased cholesterol intake responsible? To what extent and under what circumstances can there be benefits?

And what would be the next best diet besides the ketogenic diet. I have tried this and failed I do not like it I am a car person even if the carbs are berries and lots of vegetables I know that some of those things are allowed but I'm just not a keto person. What would you suggest as a next best diet.
Thank you Doc, I’m 58, and I haven’t had sex in about 4 years due to ED.
TMI
Get on trt. Fuk the gimmicks/hacks.
Equate male vitality fenugreek
Or tribulus pills from Walmart might be good for that might not🤷🏽♂️ i ain't no doc or none but they might help
You need to get on the juice asap. Keto is gonna f you up even more guaranteed
Go full carnivore. Avoid drugs
Maybe we should send this video to the "Makers" of the Food Pyramid
Good stuff Doc
Thank you Doc, great info. God bless.
I havent changed my diet much, eat meat and try to keep the carbs low. My testosterone was 400 and when i got back to the gym and changed to inverse pyramiding my level jumped to 650 in a matter of a month.
Thanks 4 sharing! 🧠💥💪🏽👍🏾
Taurine and zinc helped get my testosterone numbers up.
It's not only the Ketogenic diet that increases testosterone but it's protein and fat and INTERMITTENT FASTING
Another GEM !!! Thanks Doc !!!!
Thanks for sharing🙂
My free test was in the 120’s even though I was in the gym 5 days a week, and ate the 40% carbs, 40% protein, and 20% fat with 6 meals a day. I’m sedentary now, eating ketovore, OMAD, and my free test was like 670 something just 4 months ago. I’m 51. Imagine if I got my lazy butt up off the couch and did some compound weight training.
Do it, what is there to lose
Congratulations. But I think you are talking about Total T not free-T
@@Mirror142 yess that's very high for free test..🤔
Too much sport can be detrimental too
Training can/Will lower your Free T. You should take 1 week break from exercising before accurate blood test

Hi Dr Berry. Would the carnivore diet be able to assist with fibromyalgia?
Heard an interview with a Dr. Today. Saying that yes 100 it helps and has seen many success stories.
He believes it helps because it lowers inflammation, and that includes brain and nerves..
He made it sound like most of these diseases were being cured or helped in the first month.
Worth giving it a try for 30 days.
Eat lots of butter
Yes!!! On you tube here type in, " carnivore and fibromyalgia." Read the comment sections.
Were the diets calorie controlled?
Touché Doc 😊
Does keto diet favor testosterone levels because of the low carbs or because the high fat?
At 63 I went carnivore and no doubt my T levels went way up. I don't have numbers, nor do I need them to know that.
Whenever your old and wake up like a 18 year old through the night ,you definitely know
This is good news for sure 🎉🎉🎉
Sunlight is extremely inportant too for t levels!!! also sungazing, fill your body with light.
Than onions and garlic and some tomkat ali herbals.
Licorice is bad for testostoron levels.
How does it work though? I read several studies that say testosterone levels go down for a few hours after eating a high fat meal. So after a high fat meal testosterone goes down but overall over a period of time it will go up?
Ancestrally appropriate diet?
My husband joined me in carnivore 60 days ago, ok maybe ketovore. He is 65 and his T levels have increased for sure❤
Good evening doctor. What do you think of garlic 🧄? Is it a good thing to consume raw or you advise against it?
It's good if you like the taste
@@KenDBerryMD thx for the reply 🙏🏻 appreciated
Carnivore plus Clomid for four months and my testosterone went from 194 to 958. I was on half the dose of Clomid a few months prior that gave me the 194. Doubling the Clomid probably helped, but a 5x increase I mostly attribute to going carnivore.
Iam 62 and my wife is very happy.
And this is exactly why they want men eating the salve diet. Every revolution was started by young men, not vegans.
You look very good in those glasses.
These foods can LOWER your Testosterone: ruclips.net/video/PsBrQo9Oj14/видео.html
Thanks Dr.
Did it, I tested mine, still low, switched to carnivore and not much movement. TRT is my next route.
Need to look at other aspects of your life that could be affecting your T. Stress, poor circadian rhythm, how long on carnivore/ketovore, how much fat to support hormones, etc. If your body has been malnourished, could take longer to heal.
Where can I get a great list of keto foods
I believe there is a Dr. Berg on RUclips that specializes in the Keto Diet....I'm sure he has videos to answer your questions. Just an FYI
Any studies with women and testosterone levels?
Yes. Multiple studies about PCOS notice that Testosterone and other hormones improve on a diet that lowers hyperinsulinemia (Keto). I have videos on this channel about the subject
Any studies around testosterone that refer to menopausal women?
@@KenDBerryMD Post menopausal woman here Keto/Carnivore since 2018. Testosterone tanks to 15 unless I supplement with a compounded cream.
Then why is working out so hard on keto? 3 minutes into run I'm pooped and weights feel so heavy, why?
Also, I wanted to comment that there are other places in the world where they are not doing ketogenic diets but they are very very healthy. I know this is beyond the comment of testosterone. People in Okinawa Japan and other places are very healthy but still eat things like rice etc. Again do you have any suggestions for diet other than keto. As I am a carb person. I have cut back on sugars so that's a plus but I'm looking for something different if you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
Maybe try Ray Peat’s Pro Metabolic diet.
Carbohydrates are sugar. That’s all they are.
Is there an age in a man when even if he is eating a red meat diet, he can’t make testosterone? My husband is 80. Does he need to be concerned if he feels good even if the numbers are not good?
Very interesting
Thank you! 🙂
I just realized that I haven't watched any KenBerry videos in a while. The beard surprised me.
When strict carnivore my testosterone was tested for some sleep issues....it was 1500...7 times average

thank you
I can attest to eating more carbs contributes to struggles with managing testosterone.
My nephew is 31 and gets testosterone shots. He's been doing for 8 years. I've tried to talk to him to go to a endocrinologist and get second opinion. He won't He's not well and hasn't been Dr.Berry.. He has anxiety that not getting relief. I told him his thyroid is off . He told me is tsh normal. I told him he needs a t3 t4 by a endocrinologist. To determine. We just can't reach him and I'm his auntie.and godmother.
I do not know your family relationship, but perhapse he would be more open to advice if it came from a men? Discussing testosterone with an aunt may be emasculating for him. Just a thought.
@@J.o.e_K Which are the fatty meats you recommend?

So why would you have low T AND high cholesterol?
I can definitely already tell my testosterone has gone up over the past three weeks eating strictly meat. I've turned into an absolute wolf, my libido is higher than ever and I feel way more confident in everything I do. I guess I've had lower testosterone my entire life, but now I feel like me in the fullest.
First one on here?! Definitely felt like mine was higher after doing Keto consistently.
I never had low Testosterone but after Ketovore for 9 months I quite happy.
Don't ppl suffer from bad constipation while on carnivore or ketovore due to lack of fiber?
@@toddlesiak3837 No. That's not true.
Carnivore and Ketovore diets do not give constipation. Lots of videos showing this.
On carnivore the system works well and regular.
No fibre needed. I wish you good health.

Lab testing: Total Testosterone, Free Testosterone, SHBG
Why does high fibre reduce testosterone?
I’ve seen Layen Norton videos where he was talking about studies where the results were showing lower test levels on low carbs diets.
I think we can find any kind of answers, we just have to choose what we wanna hear….
No there are strict rules about how to do the statistical calculations for research findings.
You can buy Testosterone test without a doctor's referral. In just 1 month can make a big difference. Also, no more heartburn pills that i took for more than 10 years! :)
Maybe I’m extrapolating incorrectly, but since I’m a post-menopausal female is a too-high testosterone level due to Ketovore causing my hair loss ?!
I’ll add a few Carbs if it will build my hair back up! 😕
