In this video, I talk about an edible flower that I grow at home called Society Garlic.
This easy to grow plant has edible leaves and flowers with a Garlic flavour that doesn't make your breath smell.
It's very easy to grow, loves a friable soil that is free draining and likes the full sun.
It's also heat tolerant and very hardy. I grow mine in a container with compost, worm castings and feed with worm tea. I have never once seen a pest on it and the Bees love it.
If you have never grown this before it's definitely a plant that I would recommend that you put on your list.

Pretty flower! I've got a friend down the road from me that talks to me about wild edibles...so much to learn.
Don't imagine that society garlic would like my climate at the moment...-18 and over a foot of snow lol.

Hi Steve, thanks for the sub. I teach sustainable urban garden practices here that combines the use of turning our waste into organic fertilisers using compost worms. I have just created a new weekly segment called the Grow Table based which I think you will enjoy.
      Have a nice weekend
