Thinking the same thing earlier today. The parallels between Johannes and Martijn his neighbor are striking.
Both are driven to extremes and humanity is the beneficiary. Deep thinking, driven, creative, accomplished men that share their works with everyone.
Maybe deeper than a simple coincidence.
Yeah, no, yeah... asked myself same question, b/c I'd watched Fr. Johannes about a year before i'd discovered Martijn's videos.
Imagine the delight I had when Fr. J visited martijn! Haha
I do not follow any religion but Johannes teachings have captured my complete atention.

I am an ex-member of the Community Cenacolo (drug and alcohol rehab community), it turns out the Motherhouse in Saluzzo (where I lived 3 months) is about 25 minutes away from these guys...
Oh my goodness, I remember the same image you described from his pilgrimage. I painted it! I watched it about a year and a half ago. All the cloudy clouds, like a fog approaching, with faithful Father J. How joyful to hear this in this interview! Wow.
p.s. I just read others, comments, sorry some humans have to be judgemental instead of celebrating all the joys that Life's journeys bring.
