Like the videos. I just turned 50 and purchased a 1097 A2 for my birthday. Will be doing wiring for lights and other accessories soon. Will be referencing your vids for the build. Thanks for putting this info online!
Good job , live in ATL as well will buy one next year to do a similar thing. Painted 10 years ago my Dodge 1500 in 1959 BelAir blue with Rhino Box liner, very cool as well. Best Tom
May be too late now but the relay box on Amazon works out great. Part # PWR0312. I am going with the Orion 24/12 as well. Have fun with your new hmmwv. Got mine from Albany Georgia last November. Great videos! Thanks.
Next time you have to feed wires, or don't have loom and want to keep them tidy, cut the wires longer than you need, hold one end of each together and stick them in a vise. Chuck the other end of both up in your cordless drill, back up until the slack is out of them, then hit the drill. It will twist them neatly together, making them much more tidy, and easier to feed through loom, or a hole, or whatever.
Question, I'm gonna install a 24/12 70amp converter so I can run accessories off both batteries. Do you think I can run my hot wire right from my ignition switch to the rocker panel? I see that you used a separate switch to power your panel.

Good tip!
Are u happy with the coating? Anything you would do different? Possible to make it a little finer texture by thinning or increasing pressure?
You could possibly not make it as grainy or rough by not adding as much Kevlar. I do like the rough texture. I do like the coating
Use Dielectric Grease on the connections. It keeps dirt and water out of them less problems later.
For sure I use that stuff like is going out of style!

You can remember that ignition switch is just a switch. That wire running over can’t handle that much
So for the reverse lights, thoughts for making them automatically come on when you shift into reverse?
I’m not sure on that one, I know there’s a way. Get on steel soldiers site and give it a search I’m sure there’s something there.
@@SplitBuilds I'm absolutely loving these videos. I'm looking to start my own project soon and these are helping out massively!
With your fuse block mounted so low, what if you take it underwater?
I mean it can get wet. Doubt I’ll try to completely submerge it though..
Hello Sir, which battery should I use to connect the fuse box to get 12v. Pls let me know. Thanks
I used the one towards the rear of the vehicle
Thank You.
Hey, what size wire are the red ones gauge. I’m hanks
I’m not sure about the ones you’re talking about, I think the smaller ones were like 16 gauge
Ok thanks!!! Keep up the good work
