Very excited! One of my most looked forward upgrades for the P1S. Next, will be a Diamonback FIN nozzle =) Can’t wait!

Actually I'm still waiting for BambuLab to release compatibility with a 0.5 nozzle and stop changing slicing settings between 0.4 and 0.6 and remember which of my machines has each nozzle. Having all in 0.5mm will be perfect.

What is the price? If more expensive than Bambu complete hot end assembly it won't be worth it.

I know these seems petty but why is the boot brown 🤨 Can we get a black one in the future? and can we expect a Kit with the hotend and .2 .4 .6 .8 nozzles? Would be cool to just buy the complete setup with all the possibilities.

Colorants of any kind can affect the mechanical and thermal properties of silicone. For Mako, we used the highest possible grade of silicone to optimize thermal properties, which meant leaving it the natural color. Thus, a brown boot! We'll look at setting up nozzle kits soon after pre-orders are all shipped.

It's not as evolutionary as CHT or Revo. I'm not sure how receptive FIN will be outside of influencers.

We totally get it! 😅 It’ll be worth the wait, and we can’t wait to get the Mako Hotend in your hands soon. Thanks for hanging in there with us!

need to wait for reviews against the revo hotends before I get one
they're about the same price but the revo appears to offer tool-less changes

I honestly think this design is superior. It's torqued to spec every single time. No risk of under or over torquing the nozzle and there's already multiple different nozzle manufacturers that it's compatible with. Plus you'll be supporting a small American owned business. Seems like a win across the board to me. I'm all in and expecting outstanding results.

@@Jgigs1 just found out the tool is $30 and not included...
I don't think I've ever had an issue with torque on my Ender 3 nozzle changes.
and the Revo can be done finger tight..
it's good to have more competition but again need unbiased reviews first

@@dylan-nguyen Yeah I get it. It might not be everyone, but I still feel it's a superior design. I'm in the aviation industry where everything requires extreme precision and must be to spec, so I appreciate that little extra attention to detail. That doesn't mean that will make this product a super success, but just provides me a little more confidence in my decision to take the plunge.

@@Jgigs1 well, if it's open source someone should be able to make a tool for a reasonable price
I remember the first AMD Threadripper CPUs had a free torque wrench
