    This thing unbelievable. I just got in one of these pedals. All these years later, still the best sounding and most versatile chorus I have ever heard. I have tried it before and after distortion and it shines with either. Simply astounding. The envelope mode is a lot more playful/useful than expected. Kudos to Strymon! Over a decade later and still killing it!!

    Hey Strymon, I enjoyed speaking with your team at Winter NAMM but not quite as much as I enjoy my El Capistan & Ola LOL... I absolutely appreciate your obsession for making mega quality audio tools for nuts like me... Keep it up!!

    6:26 setting sold me. In edition to the hi-fi multi chorus you get a great lo-fi seasick warble. Great range!

    Going to the store today to order one. Love my Flint and El Capistan (the Tap Favorite is a must, like having two El Caps), the sounds are amazing. And the customer support with these guys is super helpful and kind (thank you so much, Chris G.!). The tone @ 2:06 reeled me in!

    If you're playing in chorus mode, and step on favorite, is the "favorite" setting also in chorus mode, or can it be saved in vibrato mode? Thanks

      It can be saved in vibrato mode :)

    Multi mode is amazing!!! Hey, Strymon, have you ever think about producing even smaller sized more compact versions of your pedals? I'm sure something like Mini Ola or Mini Sky pedals will be awesome and will turn into bestsellers.

    I just bought one of these and I am stunned by how good it is. I've had a few great choruses in my life including a very nice made in Japan JC 120 head in the 80s. Since that time I've tried to find a great chorus pedal that can come anywhere close but it hasn't happened until I hit this pedal. And it has a ton of variation that goes way beyond anything I've seen before. Extremely high-quality and I love it.

    Which model Agile is that? I've been considering picking one up for a while, but the price is so low I wasn't sure it was actually a high quality guitar. It's cool seeing someone at strymon play one though!

      Pete is playing an Agile AL-3000 model with swapped out pickups. GFS Fat Pat in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan '59 in the neck.

    Hey, what’s the deal with the analog dry on this since it’s a modulation pedal? Does it convert the whole signal to digital?

    • @strymon
      @strymon  6 лет назад

      On the Ola pedal, the there is no analog dry signal for the effects. The entire signal is processed when the effects are engaged.

    Hi Strymon so I had an idea ever since the first time I heard this pedal. That was a while ago so I hope I'm remembering this correctly. You can get some very wobbly chorus sounds on this pedal, and with ramp mode you can gradually increase the chorus into crazyland if you so desire. If I remember correctly the ramp is activated by holding down the foot-switch, and deactivated when you lift off of the switch. So I'm wondering if it's possible to have an almost immediate ramp time so that you could go from dry signal to outlandish chorus and then back to dry signal again just by holding your foot down and then lifting it off. For what I have in mind (split-second changes) this would be more fluid than having to tap on and then tap off the effect. It sounds really good! Thanks

    • @strymon
      @strymon  10 лет назад

      Thanks for checking out the Ola! The RAMP setting is designed to work in a press and hold the BYPASS switch manner, so there is a very quick initial delay before the effect comes on. However, if you have the RAMP SPEED set to 100%, the effect comes on almost immediately (my guess is roughly 50ms).

    I would loved to have a level knob since the the effect tends to get everything wider and a little louder so when you turn it back off your tone kind of decreases

      We've never compared it to any other specific pedals, but you can use the multi type chorus which is a threephase multi-delay-line.

    Great video, great tone, and by all means this is entirely constructive criticism: Vary your playing! Most guitarists hear a G going to a Cadd9 and they want to take a nap! This would greatly improve the quality of the videos. Thank you strymon for making great pedals!
