Absolutely agree. They could start making games set in historical times and it would be amazing. Then you can also add in mythological elements and not call it glitches in the system.

I saw a movement like ezio in AC Revelations when he got shot, an arrow movement in AC3 and the fight mechanics somehow remember AC Black Flag... This was a nice Trailer.
Actual gameplay : Running around a empty dead world for hours to get from mission a to b just to press the same 2 buttons and defeat a constant stream of enemies to watch a cutscene.
When tf did AC go from jumping off buildings in Venice or London to slaying magma Gods, flying and killing zombies while trying to prevent an apocalypse

Assassin’s Creed is a historical sci-fi series and is therefore not the place for mythical creature battles or mythical realms. Such things belong in series that are based around those concepts, like God of War, The Witcher, Soulsborne games, etc.

Well they do. Unfortunately for ubisoft (sorta brought on themselves) they gained a fanbase with mob mentaily of over the top criticism no matter what they do. Reminder that it was the community that ended up forcing ubisoft to change ac entirely due constant complaints that it was the same old and that they needed to mix it up. Now that ac fanbase is stuck with the result of their complaints they now go on about how ac is ruined

Assassins creed is evolving for better and worse. While all of us og fans miss the old days of assassins creed about being outnumbered but still the most dangerous in a room. It was about living in a specific point in time in a worldwide shadow group and completing your mission in the shadows for the betterment of the creed and the people. While I do miss the old games, I like the new assassins creed games. I enjoy how, especially in the last 2 games, you start off avoiding fights but by the time you’re many many hours deep you’re like a living legend. Origins was great, odyssey was okay but valhalla is spectacular and I will gladly play this new DLC. I love the old games but I also really like the new games too.
Valhalla is My favourite AC game yet. Along with odyssey. Love the new style of games. Their definitely underrated and under appreciated in my opinion, everybody just obsesses over the old style so much that they can’t accept the new and enjoy it. 2 years from now people will be saying how they miss eivor and he’s a great character. @@BESRKRRR the entire way the templars/assassins can go back in time and live as their ancestors. It often glitched at points in valhalla and the og games usually something is up if it glitches out cause its just looking into your past(which shouldn't have glitches)
Assassins Creed is a series rooted in history, while this may be exploring the more supernatural elements it's still based on mythology which is in itself a historical context. So it's not drifting as far from its roots as people act like. I've enjoyed all of the assassins creed games and I'm definitely looking forward to this expansion.
I don’t really mind the supernatural elements, if it’s applied well. The new assassin creed games are honestly quite great and they’ve applied many elements that normally wouldn’t work.
I get people like the old school AC, I do to, but this game has been a real good game that keeps adding and adding. I love the Viking theme and all this stuff going with it, but I’m also a really big fan of open world games.

Finally a good game about norse mythology, way better than GoW obviously. Its nice that AC has done a great comeback showing the true depth of the actual Creed, i was so tired about old stories like Ezio's, no one likes good writing. I wish every game was a fantasy MMORPG without the online part and incredibly repetitive mechanics

@@nielsmichiels1939 my Unity wasnt bad no glitches no bad coding all good they could build up from unity to be fair but unity was a good game I think the one game I didnt like was orgins since not many building to climb and parkour on and orgins was a good game dont get me wrong it was just empty and mainly a desert
Really want to go back to the original AC games. Drop the mythical powers and make it about stealth and skill.

I'm so lost right now. It looks so badass but is this not included in the season pass? I see on the store it's 40 USD plus whatever state tax.
Finally a good game about norse mythology, way better than GoW obviously. Its nice that AC has done a great comeback showing the true depth of the actual Creed, i was so tired about old stories like Ezio's, no one likes good writing. I wish every game was a fantasy MMORPG without the online part and incredibly repetitive mechanics
