great video! I'm a mom that needs serious tips to fish small ponds. My kids are showing lots of interest this summer so we've been fishing a couple ponds in the area. The only thing we've caught is a 12 inch walleye. Didn't really think about fishing by trees and stumps. So your video helped. My favorite part of this video however, when the baby fish jumped out of your hands and flopped down into the water on it's own. I subscibed to your channel

Mepps are killer baits for fishing rivers. Sometimes the blades stick so if you don’t feel any resistance or vibrations, give it a quick jerk to get it started. My favorite color is white and red.

Cohin you don’t need grass or lily pads to frog, as long as there’s any kind of muck on top of the water or if it’s any pond really you can throw a frog

The second rig is just a standard texas rig. There are plenty of videos on youtube for the texas rig. You just put a bullet weight on your line and then your worm hook and whatever softbait you are fishing on the worm hook weedless.
Just saw this video tried the zoom night crawler. 3 casts later had a large mouth on the hook.

I'm subscribing. I'm in Texas around fall season at a catch and release pond. On my first day I caught a bass. My first fish ever! But ever since, nothing. I thought I was doing everything right which I was but wasn't, this video really helped me. I was doing everything you were doing, but I wasn't moving to other areas.
I hope this afternoon I can catch another. On the day I caught the fish I was fishing in the afternoon and the other times I tried in the evening and the morning... I understand now they like the afternoon in the late months. It's Texas and they say it's the perfect season right now. Wish me luck.

You can damn sure breakdown the water, but when you’re fishing a soft craw bait on a Texas rig, slow down on your hook set. Don’t snatch on the bump.

Since having my modern digital scale 2 lb 11 oz 😢
Wacky rig, drop shot, hard plastic top water Walmart frog (don’t know actual name brand) and of course…… Ned Rig are my big 4!

I’m new to fishing and I don’t understand bass fishing at all. How are you just casting and then not even 1 second later the bass bite right away?? I use a frog lure thingy from Walmart, I cast it, wait like 5 seconds, move it a little, wait 2 seconds, move it a little and I get ZERO bites. What am I doing wrong?

I remember hearing the reason the fish love those trees, weeds, and stumps is cause thats where they get the most oxygen from.
Also, the fish can hide in structure, and the shade makes the water colder
The pond i fish around my area is so heavily pressured. The big bass have gotten smart and dont fall for crude lures much. I always see anglers catching nothing and leaving dissapointed that thier cookie cutter methods they follow didnt catch em a single bass. Meanwhile iv already caught a handful of decent fish. And i always start off slow at a new pond. I dont like disrupting everything and letting the fish know im after em. I think thats why i catch a good amount of large bass. I imagine its easier to get them to bite the finess lures if you havnt already spooked or upset them with noisy un realistic ones first 😂. A lake is a totally different thing. Easy to start off with search baits and switch but i dont use those techniques at ponds.
