Tom at Folklore actually worked on both my uncle’s Martin’s over the years, a 1961 and the 1958, the 1961 still resides with my uncle the 58’ got sold years ago and is in Ontario
Love it. Looks and sounds similar to my SWDGT, but resonation is something else. Somewhat brighter as well. I’ve forgotten what the intonation was suppose to sound like so i should prob see a Luther yesteryear. Would have to say IMO that’s probably the best sounding guitar I’ve ever heard. “On this Harvest Moon” Elliott Smith’s cover of that song is top notch.
Recording the instrument with a proper mic setup would show off the dynamic range of the instrument over a phone recording. I hope you get the price that you want. I wouldn't sell an antique guitar for a trip, but that's just me.
Are you traveling into the USA with that guitar? Will you be in Southern California by any chance? I’m an hour south of Los Angeles and would love to try it and am curious about how much you’re hope to get. If is too much for me, you might who check to see if Norm of the legendary store Norms Rare guitars located a bit north of LA would make a decent offer.
wow, the guitar was made when my brother was born, 1958. Seems like all Martin Guitars sound the same. I bought a Cheap Martin about 23 years ago. Paid Little over $1,000 used. The Guitar sounds like this one.. But still not as good as my Hummingbird Epiphone inspired by Gibson. My wife gifted me the Guitar last summer for my Birthday. Its now my Go-To-Guitar! They say the Epiphone sounds better than the Gibson? I don't know?
Man oh man, it is a lucky day for someone! That thing is as fat as I am down the neck, and you can hear it has been played 1 million hours. That’s a great guitar man, and it should move pretty quick I would think. Hate you’re selling it, but I have been there before several times lol.

Beautiful!
Gonna be hard to find another one that records like that. Make sure you slept on that decision a day or two.
So crisp even when played with fingers, I can attest. can boom when you want it to.
