    Not going to lie; I really was just following Google to a video to see how to gather Dianthus seeds and it led me to this channel... like someone said a few weeks ago, your enthusiasm is wonderful, and I hope you're well - it worries me a bit that presence here and on other platforms I checked dropped off quite suddenly around the time this was posted. I sincerely hope that everything is [or will be] okay, and my condolences if it's not.

      Hi Sleepy Panda, thanks for your kind words. I’m afraid I haven’t been very well over the last few months. I am on the mend but it’s a long drawn out process! I suffer with agoraphobia with a sprinkling of bone crushing depression, I’ve done a few vids about it over the years to see if I can help anyone else in the same situation and try to remove the stigma. I slipped over to the dark side quite completely before Christmas, I’m well looked after so I’m blessed really. Hopefully be back to my old self soon, just gotta keep fighting, never stop fighting and taking my meds!! never surrender!! Thanks again, all the best Robbie 🌻

      Hello, and absolutely my pleasure, it's a pleasant surprise to see this reply. I should have looked through more videos, I see, and I'll try to get caught up. I imagine winter and all that comes with it can be a lot, to put it mildly.
      I'm glad to hear you have people there for you, and best wishes for the rest of your recovery.

    Watched some of your previous videos on growing cyclamen and it inspired me to try it out myself.
    I saved some seeds last year and now I have absolutely loads of tiny cyclamen baby's. Look forward to watching them grow and finding out what colours I will eventually get ❤️
    Thanks for the inspiration ☺️☺️

    Wonderful.
    I'm curious about the pot size and the age of the plants in the larger round containers at the opening of your recording. I'm guessing 2 liter? I have some plants in pots blooming similar to yours. I think they are around 5 years old, maybe a few 4 years, not really sure.
    Many of my cyclamen seem to be carrying on later this year than usual. September usually seems to be the peak of blooming, but perhaps it's just the progression of my cultivation of later blooming varieties.
    I'd like to get some C. pseudibericum going so I can see them bloom along with the Coum.
    It's a joy seeing your plants and hearing your positive voice.

      Hi Kenneth Reister, the bigger cyclamen at the start of this vid are 5/6 year old plants in 1 and 2 litre pots. I have found that if the hederifolium are potted on each year they tend to grow big quite quickly. I will hopefully find some time to pot the biggest ones on again this year, some have got so big they are trying to bust out of the pots!! I agree with cyclamen being later this year, from pics and videos of previous years I’d say mine are a good 3-4 weeks later this year, isn’t nature strange with plants doing the same thing at different locations!!!
      Take the best of care, Robbie 🌻

    I’m so glad you’ve done this video Robbie as I’ve just bought Hibiscus Chiffon Rose and was wondering what to do with it over the winter. It’s currently in a pot and I did wonder if I’d need to keep it inside the greenhouse until spring. Do you know what to do with it?

    • @stinkyditchnursery750
      @stinkyditchnursery750  2 года назад

      Hi Tea_and_thyme_2012, your hibiscus will take the harshest of frosts once established and in the ground, they are fine outside in the UK. If it’s a young plant still in its pot I’d keep it in a sheltered place, away from strong winds, maybe against a south facing wall over winter. It will lose all it’s leaves and just look like a stinky thing in a pot for a few months but will start growing again in spring. Lots of flowering shrubs like a cold spell over winter to flower well the following year so if you are a bit worried about it and want to keep it safe from the ravages of winter then an unheated greenhouse is the most protection you want to give, not too warm over winter. I hope this helps Robbie 🌻🌸

      Hi A matter of logic, I’m afraid I haven’t been very well over the last few months, the joys of clinical depression!!. I’m getting lots of help, being looked after well and taking my pills. Still got a long way to go but hopefully it’s all starting to go in the right direction. Thanks for your concern, it means a lot. I’m answering this message so that’s progress, I really did fall apart in November so haven’t engaged with the world for months, until now. Really hope to be functioning soon, the madness is such an inconvenience, especially at this time of year!! Just gotta keep fighting it, never give in, never surrender!
      All the very best Robbie 🌻
