Those women who are doing this lack class and sportsmanship.

  • @captainmidnight3522
    @captainmidnight3522 Месяц назад +39

There is, I think, a real danger as a consequence of inaction, of the WNBA's failure to address the open violence against Caitlin Clark, that they haven't considered.
I have watched several Fever games this season with my sister, her husband, and their 3 girls(the oldest 2 both participate in a basketball "little league", locally known as "Little Dribblers") ages. 3, 7, and 8. The most recent, and possibly LAST game, being the playoff game in which Caitlin was stabbed in the eye. Right after the eye-stab took place, my middle neice started crying. The 8 year old got angry as the game went on and Clark received her normal punishment. The 7 year old just started crying after a bit. Now, the 3 year old doesn't really understand basketball yet but she likes going to her big sisters' games to cheer them on. The 7 and 8 year olds however, understand the official rules of basketball quite well. They love the game in a way that only girls of that age can. Half the time they congratulate their friends and girls that go to their school, for making baskets in game, even though they aren't on their team. They often give their opponents high-fives for difficult shots as they dribble down to the other end of the court to play on offense. It really is an adorable thing to see and it isn't unusual. Lots of girls in their league behave this way.😊
Now, they see a season long escalation of violence against Caitlin Clark, who is like Wonder Woman, a superhero in their eyes, being assaulted and ultimately stabbed in eye with no foul call.
And they look to me and their parents for answers.
"Why did that girl poke Caitlin in the eyve?"
"Why did she get away it?"
"Why does everone try to hurt Caitlin?"
What the hell are we supposed to tell them? In the WNBA, the refs pick and choose who the rules apply to? Are the other teams players bad people?
When my middle neice got so visibly upset and would not stop crying, my sister turned the TV off. We took the girls out for ice cream, bought a pizza and shot hoops out in the driveway.
The WNBA is now banned in my sister's home for no reason other than my sister not wanting to expose her girls to the hatred and uncontrolled player violence that the WNBA is allowing on the court against the most popular player in its history and someone my neices worship.
I bet this is happening in other homes where parents don't want to have young children watch the bad guys get away with it.

If Caitlin Clark leaves to go to the European League, Australian League or any other League then the WNBA fucked up their only chance at ever being mainstream. If the WNBA is justifying the constant assaults on Caiin Clark by saying it's a contact sport as physical as the men's sports, players should wear the protective equip.ent that goes along with it. They obviously need eye protection like Kareem had, and the way players have been pummeling her about the head she might want to strap on a helmet to avoid concussions like baseball or football. In all those sports it took severe injury and death to accept those protective measures. The WNBA doesn't have to make the same mistakes.

Caitlin is either a Michael Jordan fan or the female incarnation of the GOAT himself. It's a different league in a different era with different obstacles to overcome. But her skills. Her drive. Her competitiveness. Her ability to adapt, improve and dominate against overwhelming odds? So Jordanesque. I can't get enough of Caitlin Clark.

It's not about one player. It's about how the outside views the league. The W needs sponsors. Without appeal, sponsors leave, the game dies. It's already happening. Nike pulled its deal, and took the other benefits with it. Think about it.

It honestly looked pathetic how CC was arguing with the refs while Bonner was screaming into her ear and try to fight her. Watched that happen twice. The trash talk is fine but tieing your arms up with hers is an attempt to start trouble. Watching someone try to be a thug in the WNBA is so off-putting especially when the refs do nothing to crack down on it which just invites more of the same behavior.

CC IS ENTERTAINING BECAUSE SHES NOT ONLY A PRODIGY, SHE IS A RISK TAKER, IT DOESN'T MATTER IF SHE MAKES ONLY 75% FOR THE LOGO. IF THE TEAM IS FULLY COVERED WHEN SHE TAKES THE LOGO SHOTS ITS MAJIC!!! WORKING PAINTED US WITH ALL THE COLORS IN THE WOTLD, UNITING US TOGETHER!!! SERIOUSLY WE ARE ONE SPECIES, SO PRACTICING, LEARNING ACTUALLY LEARNING NOW TO SHOT, MAKE REAL LAYUPS STOP BEING STREET THUGS!!! ANYWAYS TILL NEXT YEAR, WE WILL SEE HOW MUCH THEY ACTUALLY PRACTICE IT WILL SHOW ON THE GAME!! REFS DO YOUR JOB!!

Has ANY BODY INTERVIEWED AN EYE SPECIALIST IN ORDER TO FIND OUT HOW LONG A PERSON'S VISION WOULD BE AFFECTED AFTER SUCH AN ASSAULT ON AN LIKE LIKE THE ONE CARRINGTON DID. A person would be very wary of other players intentions while playing instead of concentrating on the game, in order to defend herself against other ASSAULTS. PTSD. Have you ever gotten assaulted, mugged,or robbed. You naturally are hesitant concerning people around you. Your performance, living life is tremendously affected.

The women in the NBA that I have seen the little bit of are more worried about how they look rather than play basketball and obviously Caitlin Clark she come to play basketball she's not there for a beauty pageant there shouldn't be any long nails on anybody's fingers. That is considered a weapon and obviously the girl that stabbed Caitlin Clark in the eye actually should have charges brought against her because that was deliberate and with their letting these younger ladies know that it's okay to do that they are not role models for the ladies that is for sure

From grade school all the way up through college, basketball is play with rules, all players are under the same rules, it's not a violent game. The pros on the other hand cater to the stars, nobody wants to see their star player gets fouled out of the game. Now the ladies on the other hand, very few standard rules are called. The W prides themselves as being rough and tumble, why? It's because the majority of players are black and they play that way and they would foul out of every game if the game were called as it should.
