Might get this kit just for the backpack sweater. My daughter has to carry a backpack everywhere with her insulin supplies and I know she'd love to pretend her Sim is also diabetic 😊

I realize they’d never do this with a kit but I really do wish they’d make some of the clothes span the age groups. Like an oversized sweater/hoodie that you can get as a kid and the same one that fits pretty normally on teens and then the same one that’s a bit of a crop or just a bit fitted or something for adults (or even cut up/worn), so that you could have some stuff that your Sims keep forever and grow up with
I'm a teacher and I think this pack is pretty realistic for what the older children (ages 10-12ish) like to wear. Lots of casual, comfy, athleisure type clothing. It is a nice balance compared to some of the clothes we already have in-game that might be better suited for younger children.
Oh, and yes, lots of kids have smartwatches and phones these days. Some smartwatch brands make versions specifically for kids.
I like it too for “older kids”. Kids have such amazing clothes these days… I’m amazed!
I agree, seems very normal for what I see my son and his 4th grade cohorts wearing.

Isn't it also the heroine (or gf of the hero) of 'How to Train a Dragon'? Astrid sounds a bit harsh to me...and honestly, the mean girls will call her 'ass' or nastrid' or something stupid like that. Maybe kids don't get called names anymore, only beat up?🤷🏻♀️. Link is nice for boy. Enjoyed the review!😊
I love the large amount of so-called "boy's clothes". Honestly gives players many more options as they can more easily be used for both boys AND girls. I mean .. who puts their daughter in a frilly cute dress to go out and play unless she begged to, of course. I also like that these clothes stand out from the more "cutesy items". Since we have so few age groups. now it's easier to at least look like they are different age with clothes. I'm currently LP is my real life, and I have one nephew who is 12 and one who is 6. Both would fall in the "child" category, but it was hard to make them stand apart. Now the older one can finally dress like a stylish pre-teen. I'm so happy with these items. I'll say it again: the sims team are really stepping it up with the content, and including real players in the process just makes it better! I've personally been very satisfied with the kits this past year.

As a parent id say this set is VERY on trend! We love a good muted look for the kids it really helps one keep clean and 2 let their personality shine more then flashy clothes (of course my opinion) and its just much easier to make outfits when you have all the basics in neutrals
I'd love to see you and James do a multiplayer series where you build a house together and have a family
It could be rags to riches like James style but family like your style of gameplay

Yes! I want to see him insist they go to Batuu for a few eps to get the kids special toys to play with, when they don't even have enough money for a toddler bed, and Deli going, "James, just learn how to knit" or something like that and he'd be casually huffy, like, "They'll age up before I'm done making it." IDK why; that just seems like how they'd play. Lots of fun! 😂
Well the name Astrid is really common in Norway and the rest of Scandiavia so for me to name is really normal and pretty! ☺ (The name Astrid is even old norse name from the vikings!)
It's very common in Sweden as well and it is such a pretty name!
Yes, very normal in Denmark too. My three year old niece is even called Astrid 😊
A lot of the boys’ clothing options are things I could actually see my 11, almost 12 year old nephew wearing! I love that there’s the mix between youthful, fun/trendy, and realistic.
A 'french tuck' is something I think evry English speaking people say but we just call it front tuck, it's like French braid or French fries( who are actually Belgian), I find it fun to learn that people think these 'normal' thing are French.
I love the realism of the kit- as a mom this is definitely how I dress my son sometimes! Also French tuck is correct, I think it became super popular when Tan France from Queer Eye always used it on the transformations when the show first aired- but I’m sure the term has been around for a long time anyways, I think he had some influence in mainstreaming it tho

I like the name Astrid! The kit is cute and feels needed. Something about the twist back sweater makes me want to see and all age ballet/ dancer styled game pack with like both more casual practice clothes and performance clothes, dance studio objects- Barre, wall mirrors, nice wood flooring, big windows, etc. A dance career and a dance teacher career. And kids and teens could have dance as one of their after school activities. There could be a dance studio lot type so you could own your own studio and maybe even schedule in different types of class- like dance styles, but also yoga and such. That would be so cute!

This pack was SO NEEDED! I wish we could have the outfits in tods and teens as well!
PS regarding kids with smart watches- there are kid watches like that with geo tracking and really simplified voice messaging and stuff as a way for caretakers to keep track of their kiddos and be able to send and receive quick messages, which is pretty neat. I’ve also seen them where you can schedule in reminders and stuff.

They make kid versions of smart watches. My 6 year old niece has one for safety. Its very limited in what it can do, like no internet access or anything. It has the time (obvs), an alarm, I think a camera? But the main reason she got it was for safety because it has GPS, so if she gets lost my sister can pull the watch up on her phone to find her.
It also has the option to be added to your phone plan so that my sister could program a small number of emergency contacts on the watch, which my niece would not be able to edit or change, but could use to either make an emergency call or alert to the phone number (Idr exactly). But that costs extra because you're paying monthly to have it on your phone plan.

The backpack is my favorite item, the sunglasses I’d like for myself and my adult sims, but for kids not so much, jmo, but all the items are amazing, I also love camouflage colors! Can’t wait to get it later on today.💙

Yeah I work in a school and yes, the kids have smartwatches instead of phones as the watches are easier to manage and easier to lock down during school hours :)
About the smart watches...there are kid ones that you can program certain numbers in it and has GPS tracking. That way you don't risk small children losing a phone but you can still keep track of where they are and they can call you in an emergency.
Yes, here we have smart watches for our kids. its more handy to give your 6+ year old, a smart watch that works by itself, that you can call to :) this is for not giving young kids acess to a whole phone at a young age.
I dont have kids but that was what I was thinking why kids would have a smart watch nowadays. I remember when I was a kid I had to borrow someone else's phone to inform my parents if the bus will be late and so forth and it being such a hassle at times.
I don't really buy kits, especially fashion kits, but this style is super cute 😭💘

HI Deli! regarding French Tuck: My mom always said it was called "Emblousent" which is french for "blousing" or tucking a shirt hem. So you are right about that. Great video btw! Thanks Again!

I love this pack! I’m always downloading CC for kids clothes because we are lacking so bad. Almost everything we get from the game is either too bright neon or has a ugly graphic on it. This is perfect. I love the muted tones.

As a Swedish person, I absolutely adore the name Astrid. And it’s an old Scandinavian name that is coming back to popularity. More and more little girls are getting the name Astrid now days.

There are special watches for kids that allow them to contact a few people in case of emergencies and it also allows parents to know where their kids are :)

Regarding getting your hands dirty in garden soil... I attended a gardening seminar where the speaker mentioned that studies show that there are anti-depressant qualities to the microrrhizae in soil. So, as long as you don't use pesticides, and aren't gardening around irritant plants such as Euphorbia, and for me, Strawberry leaves, you should be fine. If fact, it could be good for you. Just don't use Roundup, or other toxic weed or bug killers! And always wash up well when you're done. Happy gardening! 😄

I'd like the think the kid's smartwatch is actually a tracking device and "smart" watch with limited features. More for parents to know where their children are, or be able to easily contact them. I've seen them irl but that's just my thought 😂

I taught 6th graders last year and I was baffled by how many students have the most expensive, newest iPhones and Apple watches. I teach in a pretty wealthy district, though, so it kind of makes sense, but still is wild to me.
