except 40% of boeing's business is tied into government contracts so, gov pays them tax payer money for the contracts, and if boeing gives a % cut back to the politicians.... tax payers get upcharged and politicans make money, and boeing makes money, so yeah nothin will happen to this company its tied in deeply with US government.

The crazy thing is that Boeing actually makes awesome planes. It’s the safety culture that is jacked up. The leaders got a hold of an iconic company that brought us the legendary 747 jumbo jet along with many other great airliners and instead of allowing it to be great, they got GREEDY which in result affected the safety culture that caused the unfortunate mishaps of the planes that are supposed to be GREAT.
And this man got a 45% raise FOR FUCKING WHAT?! The culture is not for quality anymore. It’s for $$$ and that’s the issue. They need to pressure Calhoun to resign.

Better stay away from Southwest then LOL. Their whole fleet is Boeing 🤷‍♂️
If you fly a lot u don’t have much of a choice. And honestly, once a plane gets delivered to an airline, it’s not just Boeing but the airline that’s responsible for maintenance and upkeep. The older Boeing planes have no major issues. It’s the new ones developed under this new management you need to worry about.
Cancelling Boeing isn’t the answer. They made great planes in the past. Just stay away from the new ones if you know how to LOL

I worked for Boeing for 5 years. Primarily military aircraft. Toured the St. Louis facility where the F18 and F15 were made. The new LEAN manufacturing process introduced years ago and the reduction of the people working for Boeing there has been an issue. They complained that Airbus was making to much head way into the domestic market as competition especially when they opened 2 plants in the south to make the A320 and A321. Boeing opened up Charleston SC to build the 787 Dreamliner, which the unions in Washington were opposed too. Boeing was pissed and I remember my manager was always stressed about meeting deadlines for delivery. As far as dawn dish soap, it is used in aviation manufacturing and testing to lubricate certain parts in assembly, used it in the military as well. Those that don't know aviation maintenance need to learn why Dawn is used in general. It's not just Boeing that uses it but other aviation companies use it as well. Those not familiar with aviation maintenance would not know that. As far as the MAX crashes, Boeing decided to put the new LEAF engines on the aircraft and spaced them out further on the wing, but these larger engines create more lift, so MCAS was developed, they didn't put a second and third sensor on the aircraft to advise the pilot on the pitch on the aircraft. The nose would go up do to the engine lifting the plane and MCAS was supposed to autocorrect it and push the nose down for the appropriate flight level. Boeing should have created a new airframe for these engines but they decide to keep the 737 and stretch it out, to compete with the A321 and A321 NEO by Airbus.

Boeing wanted to become a Global partner and started opening factories outside of the US. Also....bean counters.

let's not forget the Boeing STARLINER that is attached to the ISS right now, with two amazing astronoughts, Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, that has been delayed in returning to Earth because of helium leaks that are preventing its reentry.

This is what happens when DEI takes priority over qualifications. If you have a chance to talk with someone who has been there for a few decades you would be shocked at what this company has become.

Funny the Senate has problems with Boeing moving problem employees around, yet that's exactly what happens in the police system. An officer gets fired and they move to the next county and get the same Law Enforcement job..

They moved to a state that was right to work. So they didn't have union training assurance. People in unions can blow the whistle loud with the union to back them up. In South Carolina they don't have the union machinist School training centers. Someone needs to be held accountable for mass killings. Maybe the next CEO will make safety a concern top priority
