I grew up in that area, got a resident discount to Dollywood. Dolly has also done a lot for the area, she started a program for locals who graduate high-school to get a scholarship to the community College, did a ton for residents when they had the massive forest fire in the Gatlinburg/pigeon forge area, and started the Imagination Library which sends books to kids until the age of 5, having given away over 250 million books.
No😂 they don't dunk it in a ton of oil/fat. They do add some oil to heat the kernels of corn. But mostly its just enough to lightly coat the bottom of the kettle or pot. 🍿🤤
Jelly: Jelly is made with strained fruit juice. There are no pieces of fruit in jelly. Jam: Jam is made with mashed fruit. Preserves: Preserves have whole fruit or large pieces of fruit. Some fruits such as blackberries or raspberries will not stay whole during the processing so there may not be much difference between raspberry jam and raspberry preserve. Fruit spreads (only fruit): These are 100% fruit with no sugar added. If needed, a sweet fruit juice such as white grape juice or apple juice may be added. Butters: Butters are made from pureed fruit. They are not as sweet as preserves, jams, or jellies but offer a full fruit flavor. Butters tend to be dark because of the exposure to air during the cooking
Dolly is a prolific singer/songwriter and has written over 3000 songs. Dolly wrote I Will Always Love You that Whitney Houston made famous. She grew up poor in the Pigeon Forge area in a family of 12 kids and made Dollywood to help employ people in her town. It looks wonderful. She’s also gotten into home cooking and has cake mixes out now so I imagine that food is really good.
I’m not sure how you make popcorn in the UK, but you are supposed to use a far greater amount of unpopped kernels in comparison to the amount of oil. You don’t deep fry the kernels. You just need enough oil or fat to get hot and start popping the corn
In North America, theme park food is pretty high quality and very good. Disney parks and Universal have some great food. That slice of pie is for at the end of the night you buy it to take back to your hotel room, save half for breakfast the next morning.
Just started vid & LOL’d that Daz & Gaynor took lads to Dollywood, but Aidan doesn’t remember. Can’t wait to see how he reacts to all the goodies 😁 3:49 In defence of family/group t-shirts, they serve 2 great purposes -- memento of trip & handy way to find group members in a crowd 😁
My family has taken a vacation every year to pigeon forge. We adore it there! It's mine and my sons only vacation I can't afford to go on another one. It's so family friendly so many wonderful things to do in nature as well
Southerners do not mess with the BBQ even in a theme park. If there's bad "BBQ" in a theme park in the South, the park isn't Southern; it is just placed in there.
Ey! I live in the East TN area! If you guys ever find yourselves in Knoxville, I hope to run into ya! You'll get a lot of recommendations for great BBQ and a HIGH recommendation for Culver's! Seriously. That place can rival Whataburger imo.
Despite what Josh and Ollie said about kettle corn, it is not caramelized. it is lightly sugared just enough to taste sweet but not enough to be caramelized.
Imagination Library started in Tennessee but spread. Free books to children from birth to 5 yrs old every month! I am from Nashville so I have been an advocate for this project for many years. Also...Dollywood is always a "must do" with my family who goes every other year to the National Park of Smokey Mountains.
Y'all should react to one the the Carol Burnett "The Family" skits. My favorite is The Family That Doesn't Belong In A Fancy Restaurant. It's hysterically funny, Thanks. Love your channel.
As I've said before, Dolly Parton is an American icon. She gave $1million to help bring the covid vaccine to place. She has a very giving heart. When she passes her whole family will be well taken care of. They also work at Dolly World. She grew up very dirt poor and now she tries to keep her prices down so those less fortunate can enjoy it. BTW there's a new thing in place for the poor people who want to go but can't. Not sure what however it's at their disposal.
My neck of the woods right here…. Bout 45 mins down the road. In middle school we used to take a yearly field trip to Dollywood for a day. The magic shop was my favorite place to go besides the rides. When I got older I was able to appreciate everything in the park. Btw underneath the Tennessee Tornado there’s a guitar hero video game and as of 3 years ago I was still on top 3 score lol
Everybody who visits America want to try all of the different foods and espaecially fast foods and really eats too much of it over a short period of time. Then they go home and compalin about how bad the food is. I don't think they should eat fast, bbq, theme park food and ball park food day after day. You wont't be feeling very well after a few days of that. I don't eat fast food at all. When I want a burger and fries, I make them at home!♥
Dolly Parton is the only celebrity I can think of who could have her own theme park without seeming pretentious.
apple butter is basically if you took apple source added some sugar and spices and then cooked it down to a became dark. That's apple butter literally
its a butter consistency not a jam. And you can buy it here in grocery stores.
Once a year, my grandfather would make a ton of it to give to the whole family. It was so good.
sugar, lemon juice and a medley of spices: cinnamon, allspice, ginger and cloves
I love apple butter. My grandmother made the very best homemade apple butter. It was so good on biscuits or toast.

Yes. She was totally off. It’s the steam that develops inside the kernels that makes them puff up.

Actually, for those of us older, Dolly made it famous from "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas".

I know, but I mean there is literally no oil left, and the popcorn is not greasy tasting.
Dolly Parton is an icon. She is a humble, generous, and caring superstar.
You guys definitely need matching family vacation shirts!!!
Let’s gooo! DOLLYWOOD! It’s one of the best parks on the planet! Love you guys! Keep up the great work!
I went all the time growing up in Kingsport, it’s insane how much busier it’s gotten in the last 5 years
@@nickferguson1998 heck yeah! I just visited this past May! And it’s amazing! Lovely area and state!

It’s been probably 15 years since I’ve been there. They have a few new rollercoasters since then

"we'll see you Dolly Soon" 😂
Josh and his wife Gabe just had their 1st child.
I was raised in Texas and even to me that pie slice was the most absurd thing I've ever seen. I need it in my life. 😂

He’s gonna spend all his trip in the bathroom if he keeps eating potatoes😂 poor Ollie

Apple butter is the consistency of apple sauce. It’s basically reduced apple sauce.
And the reason it's called apple butter is just for no other reason than you spread it on things, like you would butter.
The Stratosphere in Vegas has 4 insane rides at ... the top of the resort/hotel.
it was wholesome 🤗❤️🎄
Always enjoy Jolly guys American adventures. US here, and an adoring Anglophile! 🇺🇸🇬🇧
OuCh!!!!! I keep forgetting the roller coaster screams....
These portions are big enough to feed a family of 4, or 6!
Apple butter is good if it doesn’t have too much cinnamon in it.
Yes...theye real
Ball Family Vacation T-Shirts....Get In. I better see you wearing them in the videos when you come back over here (on your Northeast visit)
Someone needs to get a speedgun out, because there's 0 chance that rollercoaster is hitting over 70mph.
Yall should react to Poudii in London Interviewed Londons worst street and trying Nandos for the first time 😂
