i think the greatest part about this whole van is that the beads in the jewelry station have remained from day one. they are the true heroes.
Your comment legit made me laugh for 10 or 12 seconds. Thank you
Lol, was thinking the same thing
Lol this also made me laugh.. I like that Freddy keeps bringing this thing back.. love his sense kf humor.
That’s how you can tell they’re not in the UK. One speed bump slightly too fast and those beads would have gone everywhere
Removing the beads would be committing to the idea that you can improve the car. This car is at peak value when it is peak pimped, which isn't saying a lot. Best you can do is try to preserve the pimping for historic value. It's kinda like if you had a beat up, early 90s station wagon that Kurt Cobain took a shit in. Removing the shit would only devalue the car further
Man, I love jack so much, he has the natural but not offending overly sarcastic character. Just as with Jared, they make a perfect pair. Please don't be afraid to push the envelope of jokes a bit further
He's cute too!
In a Zuckerberg, but not creepy kind of way.
Reads first statement, pause
Lol Yeah 11:52 😄
Pickle 🥒 Rick is also a fan I heard
Jack is awsome 😁
It's heartbreaking what this van had to endure throughout its life. Always let down by everybody, still waiting for the one owner that truly loves it... It's basically the stuff for a Disney movie.
You mean that blue car named Susie?
@@luisasilva5638 Oh wow, totally forgot that existed. Never seen that film, just vaguely remember seeing pictures of it when I was a little kid. But, if there are similarities, yeah, the van is Susie X)
@@jkb2016 in the final susie gets an owner who lover her, I hope this van get the same
Tell me about it I literally could have been that guy I remember I kept looking at it on Craigslist for the longest time I just didn’t have the money even though it kept being me back.
I remember in the original series, he gave it to some rich guy that had nice cars but his daughter thought it was pretty. No surprise that the car was abandoned despite running completely fine, and only needing a battery from lack of use. And it feels like a waste that they're gonna put it into a museum when it's a perfectly functional car.
Ah yes, pimp my ride was a wild show.
“We heard you love cats so we skinned 82 cats and made you some custom seat covers!”
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I could just hear X to the Z saying that 🙈🙈🙈🙈🤣🤣🤣🤣
That was for one seat...but wait, theres more..
😂😂😂💀
😂flash back to the show
This van is the herpes of the internet.. it just keeps coming back, wanted or not.
herpes doesnt go away tho buddy....

The brake test was hilarious! Glad this van has found a good home, I think it’s pretty cool and definitely deserves to be preserved.
I swear Tavarish is the only person who properly cares about this thing. All that work, passed it off, and three years later it comes back dirty, falling apart, and nothing working again. You need to keep this thing, Freddie, once its done at the museum, so its in the hands of someone who cares!
Properly cares about the thing so much that he gives it to some rich dude with a ton of nice cars that doesn't even drive it so the battery dies.
@@aznnp77 *Gives it to his friend that he thought might appreciate it more...Who doesn't, so he takes it back and fixes it again. Thus being the only person who properly cares about this thing.
@@Gryphonamx "who might appreciate it more." Did you watch the video when he gave it to him? The joy in his face as he received it (sarcasm). The dude never wanted it. He used it for a few videos for content purposes then kicked it to the curb.
He don't want this thing either. He just like the project it has become.
I'd love to get it. Just made a trip to LA just to see it actually. I got my wife on the show and we still have it. I'd love to get it and add to my collection. I'm doing a follow up series on the cars and contestants of the show.
Make sure you guys take good care of that van. She's had a hard life and deserves some love. But it seems like you guys are giving her lots of love.
He said in the video that it's going to a museum. So a perfectly good running car is about to be put away forever. Such a waste.
“Let’s test the brakes” Jack takes off! I nearly died laughing 😂 at that!! Love it!
poor jack 😅
His feet jammed up against the dash. I died.
Best moment on automotive RUclips!
Yep. Funny Stuff. But on a serious note, this is why seat-belts save lives. If you need to explain to someone what happens without a seat-belt without any gore, just show them this bit.
@@PathosBedlam thank you for your concern, but it’s up to the individual to do as they please. I wear a seat belt always even though by law I’m exempt from doing so under certain conditions.
This "Pimp My Ride" minivan is honestly one of the best things Tavarish has ever done. It belongs in the Smithsonian.
I said it in the original video, and I'll say it again here, by buying this van, you saved me from myself. It was for sale about an hour away from me, and if it had still been on sale when my tax return came in, I was determined to buy it. Not because I particularly liked it, but just because I couldn't stand to see it be so mistreated. You've done a far better job than I ever could have, and it's going to the right place, at the Petersen. Cheers.
I WAS THINKing THE SAME!! Kills me I didn’t get it I love these vans
I'd still love to get it. I got my wife on the show and we still have her car. I'm doing a where are they now follow up series on the cars. I actually just went out to LA to see the van. It's been stored in their parking garage. I'd love to give it a good home. Where it would actually get used. It's a show car, not a daily driver.
I love that you guys continues to keep this Van alive. This van should never die!
I love it. Happy to see another PMR car besides my wife's VW Thing lives on.
Man I love this crew! Jack and Rex doing their craft. Love that this van is back on the channel. It sucks that the van became neglected after all that work to fix the van last time, but I'm so happy you guys brought it back to life!!
Poor Rex. Not only have to clean it once, but twice. You could see the PSTD setting in.
Got me wondering what his boy did with it after he got it for Christmas a couple years back.
Seeing this van again on a new upload is like being re-acquainted with an old family member. Thought maybe the first meeting got re-uploaded. Was the first video I saw of yours
Same!
Me too, scrolled past it then got the notification
Here's a new idea fix it up and send it to Tyler again 😂
I went to school with Jack in Texas about 15 years ago. He was always into mini trucks! Glad to see him working with Tavarish!!
I can’t believe it’s been 15 years in Houston and a crazy huh who is this
Really love that you're taking care of it. The vast majority of these 2000s show cars have been neglected into disaster (as shown on the Mightycarmods channel lol)
Sex spec did not last, i have seen one converted to a race car. They ripped out the interior and installed a stock black one with roll cage
@@shanekumar3403 I know which one you are speaking of. By chance would you have any pics of it? I'm doing an update on the cars and covered the Subaru 😃 already, but a full info I was limited on what I could find. I'd love to speak to Louis but he hasn't reached out yet. Unless you mean the 240SX. My wife has the green VW Thing they did.
They are only about which one has the biggest penis, and who has the best car, not a car (or mods as their name suggests) that can be fixed by the average punter without spending lots and lots of money like they do..
Same deal here in the UK, with the Max Power era stuff lol.
@@itsallac0nspiracy I'd love to see the Chrysler Neon they made a red wide body for a giveaway. Wonder what it looks like or even still exists now. Would have loved that here in the US.
Jack is officially my favorite person now haha. Mini trucks and poppin trunks, he knows what’s up 😎
I’m definitely happy to see this thing under a roof and take care of now not just sitting in a puddle somewhere no matter how silly the thing might be still part of mtv history!
Those old Chrysler Minivans ran really great and had a pretty good ride and great sight lines.
I love the fact the minivans are functionally the most practical, versatile vehicle on the road and this one removes all of that. It is like a rolling contradiction and I love it!!
True
The sound of that van accelerating made me emotional. I took my driver's license test in a 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan! Fun fact, the amount of crap that came flooding forward during the emergency stop honestly gave the instructor pause.
Mine was a 2000 base caravan. I learned to drive in that thing and it almost became my first car.
Current owner of an 06 Caravan. The tall gearing really is unique. It drives exactly like you expect a minivan to.
I’ve got manny video of my 99 and 96 I grew up with a 99
@@mikehall3976 the 4th gens sound waaaay different with the gearing and higher rpm
Jack honestly maintained the camera really well considering he was flying through the windshield.
I hope you’re assembling a crew and keeping jack, Rex and Jared. Anchorman call: ASSEMBLE!
Amazing to see how far you've come Freddy. I started watching a few years ago when you were in your home garage long before the white Lambo. Proud of you and all of your hard work. You deserve it bud.
Glad to see this beast back! This project was what got me into the channel!
Me too!
Same bud

Love this van, I remember watching the build on MTV and just amazing watching you guys have fun , thank you!
Love seeing this car coming back to my neighborhood. Thanks, Tavarish for all your work!
This car was first abandoned in my town of scituate, RI before it went to the lot you first bought it from. Such a cool vehicle to see you work with. Thank you so much for preserving the history here
Sweet! I’m still beating myself over not getting it I’m obsessed with these vans.
Once everything starts working again, there actually is some magic in this big dumb machine. There's a lot of fun to be had for sure. Def a part of car culture history. 🎵You've got to pimp my riiide!" 🎵
I would love to see it rebuilt and sold to a fan

This series should be called The Brotherhood Of The Traveling Pimp Van
One of the guys from the show that worked on that van would love getting this back! You should totally link up with Jason Ewing so he can re-pimp that ride
I would take it in an instant lol-- Jason

Should of tried getting intouch with the original owner of the van from the show. That would of been some cool content, and than surprised that person with their old/new Pimp My Ride van from the show 20 year's later. But taking it to that museum is also a good idea. 👍
I'm not into the whole pimp my ride look, but I saw the original work you guys did before and it was great as is the work you did here. It really disgusts me how people can trash a vehicle after so much work is put into it. Glad it's going to the museum where it can be appreciated. 👍 Great job guys.
I've had a very long day, and that helpless hysterical laughter was exactly what I needed.
Man the 2000's were a weird time in car culture.
yep 2000 was weird time is like hybrid 90s i miss that
I did a turbo on my Acura integra and spent my money on going fast and even built a second motor just to turbo. I was packing 400 plus turbocharged intercooled horses. Made my money back racing it illegally. Fun while it lasted, then I got that night that made me hang it up. I had my plate retracted while racing another kid. I had beaten him and he paid me when the cops showed up. Yeah all 20 of us ran in 10 different directions. One cop zeroed in on me as I was bolting. I booked for the highway and he ran right after me. I don’t know how fast I was going but I pulled the kill the lights and take a hard exit trick. We flew home and I’m pretty sure the cops were still looking for me judging by the scanner activity. I took off all the custom stuff over the next few weeks and I bought other wheels for it. Next time anyone saw it it looked totally stock minus the rims and the lowered ride height . Got out of it over the next couple of years racing less and less. Ended up building stuff for folks instead. Last September and back in March I sold my last 2 vehicles to finance a brand new 2022 Toyota Tacoma. I had nowhere to keep the integra anymore after I moved. I parted with it after 22 wonderful years
The original video with this van was the video that brought me to Tavarish and I have been subscribed ever since.
Rex once again working his magic touch. Whatever else we may think of the mods the show made, the paint job looks great and has really stood the test of time. And the fact it still runs is a testament to work Freddie and Jared did originally.
pretty cool that you guys have kept this van going for all these years! Truly a piece of history
It’s nice to see an old Chrysler minivan still running smoothly
I’ve got a few 90s Chryslers ;)
No lie, would drive it like I stole it. One of my favorite vehicles back from when my kids were little. They each had a door, and they each had their own seat. Along with one of those headrest DVD players we could actually go down the road in peace...400 miles at a time with the small V6. Awesome vid, thx
Loved the craftsman tools back in the 60’s and seventies when I started wrenching. Still have a few of the originals 55 years later
That van is a piece of history too. It fully captures what the car scene really was.
When "size order" became a sales argument. Then you know you ordered too much on Wish.
Great work and great videos you constantly bring to us!

Nice to see the van is still road worthy! You should do a breakdown video of everything in those craftsman tool sets you got. I super curious, I haven't updated any of my hand tools since 1996. (You know the drill, a couple sockets missing, a wrench or two, ratchets starting to slip etc...lol) love the content, always great to see Rex & Jack in the videos!
This is probably the only surviving pimp my ride vehicle left. Love this.
There is at least one more. The original owner of the VW Thing on PMR still has it.
I'd love to give that poor minivan a forever home someday, lol
I would too man I love these third generations I already have a couple
I just feel so bad tavarish put all that work into bringing it back to life and it was just abandoned again it’s a sick car imo the general theme of it idk why it’s just neglected
If it had enough seatings I'd whip my kids around Phoenix with that blinding people with the 🌞
Look who he gave it to. A rich dude that didn't even want it really. That's the shame. If he gave it to someone that wanted it, it would never have been abandoned.
@@aznnp77yeah that rich guy came across like an asshole
I’m glad the van is going to the Petersen museum. It’s been neglected so long and now it can finally be appreciated.
Love seeing you finishing some old projects.
Dude has one of his cars going to The Petersen Museum. Congrats, that is actually pretty badass.
He already has one there with the murcielago from fast and furious that he completely redid
I think Tavarish might actually make more $$$ on this minivan than MTV did on Pimp My Ride!
I doubt it they are stupid easy to fix diy I’ve worked on a couple and rebuilt one motor for 300
@@TFD1982OP is talking about the video revenue not the car itself
I was like WTH you gave this thing away once why is it back ..... After watching I understand completely and I'm glad to hear where it's going. Jack i really surprised you didn't drop the camera with that brake test and I'm glad you ok. Have to say I've been shot to the front of a cargo van myself while doing tile work alot less gracefully and followed by a pallet of floor tile and several buckets of tools and glue
This thing deserves to be toured around at car shows, with Pimp My Ride playing on all 9 monitors
Would have been awesome to have Jared in this episode too, all 4 guys would have been a riot!
I remember the original videos on this thing, random RUclips recommendation, I had no idea who Hoovie was (at the time) just that his wife was about to have a kid and Tavarish was going to give him this family hauler, feels like a lifetime ago now that I've seen dozens of videos from both of them, Wrench Every Day didn't exist nor did Little Hoovie's Garage channels. Time flies.

Fun fact about Alcantara: It was invented in the 1970s by a Japanese chemist working for Toray industries, which partnered with Italy's then State-owned petroleum and chemical company ENI, to form the company Alcantara, whose name comes from the Arabic term "القنطرة", meaning "the bridge".
It's been a few rough days but that laughter when hitting the brakes brought a smile.
I'm glad this van is going to a better place, even if only for a little bit. I think if it weren't for you and the team, this van would have gone in the crusher years ago.
